“Spring Frost has the most unique selection of clothing and accessories in Austin! It’s my go-to place for denim (they often have brands like Frame, Mother, etc) and dressy occasions. It’s full cutting edge fashion designers you can’t find anywhere else in town, most of which is at a discount. Because of that, they have both great deals and phenomenally unique pieces. I’ve chatted with their buyer about how they periodically go to shows in New York to scout new brands, and the variety in their shop shows. My favorite piece I’ve purchased from them is a silk dress covered in photographs of 1960s celebs. Spring and co always help pull pieces when I’m looking for something specific — like the personal shopper of my dreams. They now have in-house alterations too! If you love fashion and wish there was an alternative one-stop-shop to a big department store, Spring Frost is it!”

This is a small-business built on ethical and environmentally friendly foundation in which the mother-daughter Carol and Melissa value with the up-most respect. They consider their customers needs and place a large amount of time in creating custom artistic clothing. They really pour their heart and soul into each and every garment. They use sustainable silk and plant-based dyes so micro-plastics don't seep into the waterways. They make shirts, kimono, and scrunchies. I love this precious brand.”

“Secret Oktober is a staple of Austin and I have been coming here for years for all the dark or bright clothing and accessories I want for my wardrobe. There is such a diverse range of styles here that it is worth you coming to check out for yourself. From socks, hose/tights, jewelry, shirts, dresses, and jackets they have it all here. The sizing ranges too from smaller to even 2-3X sizes too which makes me super happy. Not everything is going to be on the larger size but take your time when you are here and look through the racks. There is something that will catch your eye. This is Secret Oktober's new spot located on Menchaca that shares a coffeeshop, music venue, a bookshop, and even a bicycle spot all within the same shopping area. It is in the perfect spot to park and walk around to visit the other shops. Super happy to welcome them to South Austin!”

He never pressured me into buying a pair of shoes. I did buy a pair and I'm very satisfied with them. They are really comfortable.”

“I just recently visited this store. If you are consigning, It's best to call first as they will give you an appointment and don't do consigning after 1:30 P.M., I think. I consigned 2 dresses, with cleaning receipts. The staff was very friendly and were excited to consign with me. The consignment expires after 3 months. I've consigned with them before, but that was before the pandemic.Baubles & Beads has a wonderful collection and I usually find something I like. I especially love their cocktail dresses. Their prices are very reasonable. I've been going there for the past 10 years.”

Batteries, repairs etc. they do what that can to help and when they can’t it’s usually just out of their power to do so. Love the brand just hate that they discontinued the “Nate” line.”

“The building is outstanding both inside and out and is a feast for the eyes. They have a tailor on site which is great because if you're paying the kind of money this place charges you may as well go the whole way and get a perfect fitting outfit.The clothing was well done and the styles were fitting for what's trendy now but my wife and daughter felt the prices were far too high, I didn't mind spending the money but they felt they could get more for less elsewhere so that's what we did.So while not a five star for me if your into this brand and price doesn't matter compared to value then it's a great place.”

You will not find more comfortable shirts or shorts. I have 4 shirts I bought from them in 2011 and I can still wear them. Neck is not loose nor are there holes in the arm stitching. Seriously, you can buy anything from this store and know you will be happy with the product and who you bought it from.”
