“I'm a freshman in college and wandered into Hudson Grace looking for a flower vase. I was asking a girl out on a date and wanted to make a small flower arrangement. The two women working the store (I didn't catch their names) not only gave me a display vase for free but spent over 15 minutes showing me how to arrange a flower display. They cut off the rose stems, showed me which leaves to remove, and helped arrange the flowers in the vase. It was one of the kindest gestures I have ever received.Update: she said yes! I'll definitely be returning for some candles :)”

“I was here today to look for a sofa and this store is big. All the furniture is upstairs and all the smaller items are downstairs. While upstairs, we were trying out all the different sofa collections, and in multiple occasions had multiple sales reps come over to see if I had any questions, and to check in to ensures I was doing okay. While speaking to the sales reps, they were very knowledgeable, courteous, and nice. I was able to find a potential sofa with their help. All in all, I had a good experience with the friendly and helpful people here.”

“I went to Urban Outfitters today to return something that I bought for my granddaughter. I bought the item before Christmas and lost my receipt. I only had the transaction on my credit card. Josh assisted me and was very helpful. He patiently went through the transactions of that day trying to find the purchase so that he could create a receipt. He gets an A+ for customer service.”

“Bought an Eames office chair, found out it was too short and had to return it....but I live hundreds of miles from the Palo Alto store.....when I started the return process, Chris, the assistant manager, was very helpful and arranged to have the chair picked up, then helped with the refund, which was complete, including the shipping charges.....my experience was excellent and recommend Chris if you're going to DWR in Palo Alto.”

“Beautiful store at Stanford Shopping Center ! Lovely display and dressing rooms ! I've never heard of this brand but was attracted by a sign outside the store: 'Buy one get one free' ( sale items). So I went in and was going to give this brand a try. I was told that items with a yellow plastic ring around the hanger neck were a part of the BOGO deal. I tried on items in the dressing room which was busy. I chose a few items. Was surprised since I'm a petite size. When I get to the register I find out that many of the items were not on sale though marked as such. I found it very confusing. But I liked the items I chose ; eliminated two items reluctantly due to the no sale status of those items. But I also still kept a silk blouse for full price ( reluctantly) Later while at home I go online to view the online store. (Especially since I didn't know of this brand before) Turns out that several of the items I purchased for full price were on sale online. Confusing. The clothing is beautiful and sustainable and made in SF! Those two things are worth paying more for . However shopping at Amour Vert is confusing and felt unpredictable. I wonder how they can make the process more customer friendly ?”

“The Palo Alto location of Pottery Barn Kids is amazing! I had a horrible experience with Pottery Barn online - a months-long saga of rude, unhelpful treatment - and went to Pottery Barn Kids in Palo Alto and they solved all my problems at no cost in 10 minutes. They were helpful and so friendly and I wish I went to them sooner! The salesperson mentioned that the online sales don’t support the brick and mortar stores at all, and recommended that I contact them directly to order.When I had the opportunity to order again, I didn’t bother ordering things online. I called the Palo Alto store and they were delighted to help me! They were super knowledgeable and descriptive of the different models, and quick with the ordering process. I also know if I have any issues with the product, their customer service will take care of me (unlike ordering online, where you’ll only get snippy responses and the runaround).TL;DR - order directly from the store, NEVER online. Pottery Barn Kids in Palo Alto is the best.”

“I have bought lots of different items at the store off and on, but recently we bought family room chairs and a coffee table and end tables. Our experience was great and we love the furniture we bought. We also appreciate the sales staff, who are extremely helpful. I love going in to the store spontaneously and finding something that would look just perfect in our house. I have no complaints with the quality or the workmanship of the items we have purchased. It's one of the few furniture stores where we can actually walk in and shop, so it's definitely five stars for me.”
