“Great variety of fair trade gifts, very reasonably priced. I've seen similar items with less variety at other stores at much higher prices. The staff were all volunteers & super kind & helpful. I found cool gifts for multiple family members of all ages. Thank you United Nations, I'll visit again.”

“I can't believe I never stopped in before! It's a tiny blink-and-you-miss-it storefront, and inside it's packed to the gills with adorable gifts and goodies. I picked up some stationery, but you could also get a little RGB doll or some nifty inventive kitchenware.”

“Just wanted to update my review because I appreciate shopping online here. Recent gifts include these two necklaces. Artist Judi Eichler ensured the silver and freshwater pearl necklace would be completed in time for purchase, and her customer service was so appreciated. Both necklaces are lovely, well made and original. Thanks again to Shady Lane for making shopping for others fun and fulfilling!”

“Started knitting lessons with Anette, the owner. Such a warm wonderful and patient individual. The only down side is seeing what a klutz I am, trying to knit a simple project while she knits lightening fast without even looking.I’m an old dog learning a new trick so it will take some time. But she did have gingerbread cookies to support us!!Thanks Anette!”

“This store always has good music and pleasant people working. Their cards are so cute and cover so many different types of occasions. Recently went in to purchase some gifts for a friends birthday and we left with everything we needed, minus the wrapping paper. We purchased the card, a tote bag, a magnet, few wine forward gifts and some of those cute little mimosa flavor cubes! As far as value: it's kind of all over the place. Some things are priced high and some are less than expected. But overall a good spot to browse around for yourself, your loved ones or any the people in your life who also love cute things!”

“This is family owned business in Los Altos, so the customer service is extra warm and welcoming. I have bought my teachers gifts, holiday hostess items and most recently, last minutes gold treat boxes for my daughters birthday party table. Each time, Gourmet Works customizes the gifts/chocolates according to my budget/taste and creatively gift wraps making the finished product look very special. They really go out of there I highly recommend Gourmet Works if you would like to try their delicious chocolates or browse for some fun gifts.”

“Great customer service, reasonable prices. Not the lowest but close.I got a torch here and the ignition button stopped functioning. I called and they let me exchange for a different torch only paying the difference. I really appreciated the flexibility and the effort they put in to make it right.By all means I think the customer service far out weighs the tiny price difference especially since so many people can get things online for so cheaper. Happy to have bought from them and I will continue to do so as they are a good small business.”

“I LOVE Shelby's Garden! A few years ago a dear friend got me some beautiful yet minimal bracelets from here and I have since purchased many other pieces, really unique stuff and reasonable price, don't think I paid more than $30 for a piece. Was wandering in here a few weeks ago needed some retail therapy, and decided to smell their scent selection, smelled this Capri Blue Volcano hand lotion and went to heaven. The smell immediately comforted me, seemed so familiar but I couldn't quite place it. I go home to research (I thought maybe it was the scent of one of my Vegas cainos and thats why i recognized it lol!) and of course - it's the scent Anthropolgie uses in their stores! Addicting and a known universally accepted scent! To the point where a man stopped me on Laurel and said "Ma'am I'm sorry if this comes off wrong but you smell AMAZING" =) (fun fact for single ladies: based on research men really like citrus or vanilla/pumpkin yes pumpkin scents on women and this is mostly citrus with light floral base notes! Isnt that something...). I asked my husband how he Iiked this because he's never been in an Anthropologie or to Shelby's and he applied like 3x to his hands and sat there sniffing them like Molly Shannon in Superstar. What a fun cute store to browse there is all sorts of stuff the owner must hand-pick everything because it's so charming and there is always something new/fun/pretty/cute to buy!”

“Such a sweet little unexpected gem, full of treasures and trinkets, antiques and vintage jewelry. It's the sort of shop your grandmother or somebody's mom might've run back in the day, you'd be able to get lost for at least an hour rifling through random little things, odds and ends, e.g. books and artwork, necklaces and earrings, rings, little board games and the odd bit of clothing you thought you'd never find. The prices are also from yesteryear. The display of merchandise is also oddly adorable and artfully placed. I didn't have my phone when we went inside, or I so wished I could've taken photos. Oh well, next time.”

“A hidden gem! I came across the shop when walking in downtown and decided to hop in. Walked away with an amazing wedding gift for my friend thanks to the help of the lovely lady at the store. The shop has a myriad of unique items and is fairly priced imo. Check it out!”

“The geek store of my dreams! I've been here so often, the staff recognize me. From anime to Disney to jurassic park. Boxlunch has plenty of geeky merch to choose from. Prices online are almost always better, but you can pick up in store. I wish their LOTR & Star Wars selections were larger, but what I do find I enjoy.Staff are extremely friendly! I've enjoyed all of my interactions here. Discussing our favorite Fandoms, latest TV episodes, or simply laughing over my BFs silly jokes. It's always great.”

“That have everything needed for puja. The owner is generous, very helpful and guides appropriately. The great part is he guided us very honestly keeping in mind how some things could get more costly for us. If we could do without something, he told us to leave it. I really liked it.”

“This was a pleasant surprise of NASA gear for an affordable price. Like a nasa outlet store in a sense. I was disappointed there were no educational displays or insights into the happenings at the Ames center, as that was what I hoped for. But if you want to some cheap merch, you got it here.”

“5/10/23 Unfortunately they're closing and they have discounts for clearing their inventory. I was told that their last day is sometime in the summer. Lots of high end quality stuff. I got a 14" steel wok and an oyster knife. The clerk was very friendly and helpful. Go there soon before they close.”

“They are the place we always go for Golu dolls and other pooja items. Good selection and when compared to other Bay Area Indian arts/pooja stores, this place has comparable or better prices and is MUCH better arranged/cleaner. I understand the prices may be high compared to India or online, but that's not fair because they have to provide for a brick and mortar business in the USA (in an expensive market). We bought golu dolls for the last 5 years and we will continue to buy from here.”

“I had placed an online order on a Saturday for long distance delivery on Monday. My order was a large birthday bouquet with birthday balloons. My order was delivered on time and the presentation was beautiful. The fruit was delicious and fresh! I was a little worried about my order after reading so many negative reviews. But wanted to come on here to say that I had no issues with my order and would order from the Sunnyvale store again.”
