“Klauss was such an excellent help to us. Very welcoming and had a deep understanding of everything in the store. There is such a wide array of items to chose from here. Each piece of furniture is truly unique, and oozing with history (and good vibes). Best yet you can get real wood furniture and bypass purchasing a load of OSB/veneer with equal weight or packing materials (and assembly) from big box sellers. Come on down here and support your local business. These guys are first rate! We can’t wait to continue furnishing our house with them!”

“Lance was my salesperson. I was looking for a small sectional couch that could also be used for sleeping. He showed me a variety of options and even pointed out the plusses and minuses of the various choices. I took pictures and went home to make a decision which was easy to do because I had all the info. I was never pressured and felt comfortable about my choice. I also bought a chair because the financing is great....better than anything I have encountered at any other store. I would highly recommend Lance as a salesperson for his patience and expertise.”

Staff is very helpful and selection has recently been expanded due to a recent expansion of the store. Quality is great. “We utilized Charlton Bradsher for design services for a complete renovation of our 1960s kitchen, including the addition of a new mudroom and entryway, and updates to the exterior of our home over the course of the past year. The Hands of Sean Perry Co. served as the contractor.We are extremely happy with Charlton's work and the results. In addition to being a skilled designer, he is dependable and a pleasure to work with. A highlight of working with him on the kitchen was his creation of a fantastic layout including cabinetry and lighting plans that gave us a beautiful and highly functional new space. He was solid on the basics and then added lots of creative thinking for the finishes. He was a good communicator and was committed to helping us achieve a wonderful remodel from beginning to end. Highly recommend!”

“My wife and I bought our small cottage home in 2018 and waited 5 long years before we were done raising kids to finally move in and make it our own. The only problem we had was furnishing and decorating a whole house for the first time in our lives. I can tell you we are not interior decorators. Our previous furniture had been chosen for durability and teenage boy proofing, so we were not prepared for the overwhelming choices and lack of direction we would encounter. Until we found Chris and his support staff at Dwellings. Chris' kind, quiet demeanor and expert guidance was just what we needed. The showroom is beautiful and gave us so many ideas. The quality of the furniture was just what we were looking for, furniture that would last for years to come. Chris took time to help us chose color combinations and fabrics for our living room suit and when we changed our minds on the rug color we had chosen, he did everything in his power to make the exchange happen smoothly and painlessly. We can't speak highly enough about our experience at Dwellings. Each time we ventured out to buy additional furnishings, we always ended up coming back to Dwellings. “Sanctuary of Stuff is a unique gift shop in Woodfin (north of Asheville). There's a fun vibe, with beautiful pottery, glass, jewelry, clothing, homewares and baby things made by artists, many of them local. Perfect place to find something for that hard-to-buy-for person. They had wonderful items for every taste from jewlry to bags, homegoods and accesories, clothes and everything in between. As many others have mentioned, not sure how this doesn't "represent Asheville." I came down from ATL for a long weekend, but everyone I met seemed to have a do whatever makes you happy attitude. I have a great time chatting with them each time I go in to browse (which almost always turns into purchase).I started shopping here before I even lived in Asheville and I can’t recommend their shop enough. A majority of my jewelry has come from their shop and even the earrings I wore for my rehearsal dinner and wedding came from here!
