Their prices are pretty steep, although they do have lip balms and little trinkets that are affordable. They also have a honey sampling bar, which everyone in our group got a kick out of, highly recommend.”

“This is the most amazing gift shop I have ever been to. It's the gift shop of my dreams. I was visiting Asheville during the week of Thanksgiving and researched local gift shops before I visited. I knew I absolutely had to stop in after reading all the wonderful reviews. This store completely lived up to all my expectations. I had visited several other gift shops before visiting here and my sister agreed that this was clearly the best of all the shops we had visited. There is so much stuff to look at and there is a wonderful variety of items for just about everyone. Everything I looked at was reasonably priced. There was so much cute and unique stuff that I was amazed and wished there was a store like this where I live. They also have a nice selection of greeting cards. I especially loved the Japanese stuff. The Japanese make the cutest gifts and I wanted to take all of it home with me. I bought a cute Japanese die cut cat calendar, some nail art stickers and a little sushi toy. The woman and man who work there were so friendly and helpful. I could tell they really enjoyed working there and helping people find what they're looking for. I absolutely love this shop and will make sure to stop in again the next time I'm in town.”

“This is more than a souvenir shop. It's a perfect spot for postcards and little souvenirs for your travels and folks back home. But they also have lovely clothing in the back. Plus t-shirts and caps. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, convenient location for walking downtown. I stop here regularly when I stay in Asheville.”

There's a fun vibe, with beautiful pottery, glass, jewelry, clothing, homewares and baby things made by artists, many of them local. Perfect place to find something for that hard-to-buy-for person. “Duncan & York is my all-time favorite shop in Asheville. Not only do they have the best selection of gifts for everyone in my life (mostly myself, haha), but they also have the best staff who are cheerful, warm, welcoming, and helpful (I'm a big fan of Brenda whose gracious hospitality lifts my spirits). The shop has the best of what Asheville has to offer and has something for everyone - I've purchased gifts for my aunt who has everything, to my 10-year old Swiftie, to my nature-loving friends, and the best smelling candle for myself. “I loved buying a gift from this store that reminded me of my visit to Biltmore, but the funniest part of all is that they are super expensive and with a sign that says: “Made in China”, I have nothing against the Chinese, I love their culture and food and I recognize that they are an economic world power, but please a place as beautiful and as expensive as Bilmore (because the tickets are not cheap at all) they should make and sell their own gifts! That's my humble opinion”

“I loved this store so much that I spent an hour looking through downtown Asheville boutiques just to find it hoping to find an online store (maybe someday???????). They had wonderful items for every taste from jewlry to bags, homegoods and accesories, clothes and everything in between. As many others have mentioned, not sure how this doesn't "represent Asheville." I came down from ATL for a long weekend, but everyone I met seemed to have a do whatever makes you happy attitude. Too bad it seems like a select few have decided they are the face and opinions of the entire city. ??”

“We specifically went to Asheville to see the changing of the leaves and stop by this wonderful windchime store. I had been once before and got such a good vibe. The gentleman (owner?) was super knowledgeable, kind, and helped us find the right one. What I love about this store is that gentle playing of the windchimes is encouraged for you to find the one that resonates most with your soul. We ended up getting the Japanese and the Aquarian windchimes. They are absolutely lovely. I cannot say enough good things about these windchimes and our experience at Gaea Gifts. We will be back as we did realize we have enough space to hang the larger sets of chimes! ?”
