A favorite stop when we have out of town guests. The store has offerings from several upscale crafters in a variety of mediums. There are usually two or three crafters working in the lobby. Upstairs a small museum with unique pieces.

Appalachia craft center is one of the places we visit every time we come to Asheville. The pottery is unique and beautiful and still utilitarian. Located on Spruce Street is a blessing in that it is away from the busiest parts of downtown.

Our main store features the folk potters of North Carolina, as well as other hand made crafts from the Southern Appalachians. We also have a selection of locally made jams and jellies as well as local honey. There is art on the walls as well as unique garden art. We carry books by local authors and a number of trail and other guides. Our other store, at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel, features fine jewelry from NC and elsewhere, as well as books by local authors, drinks, snacks, health and beauty aids, and pottery and other crafts.
