“I don’t know much about cars, so going to the mechanic has never been something I’ve been super comfortable with - that’s until I found T.P. First things first, they listened intently when I first came in and also were understanding of financial limitations. They worked very quickly (got my car back within a few hours) and when I came back they explained what all they looked at with the car and how they did that. Luckily I only needed an oil change, and they didn’t try to upcharge me or add other services. They explained things in a way that were very understandable. Above all else everyone who works there is kind and welcoming. Will definitely be my go-to mechanic!”

“Performance was recommended by a close friend. My wife has an old Camry that had been into another “Toyota only” shop. Well we brought it in multiple times for check engine light and asked for a once over as my wife though her brakes were going and they said no next time.Well when the the check engine light came on again we decided to take it to performance Auto. Our friends recommended shop. 1) the properly tested and found two smog related things we needed and said one forsure and other eventual(no upsell). We did not mention the brakes. But as a good inspection should they said they needed replacing.We picked up the car tonight and my wife says it drives better and 100% notices the brakes performance. No more grinding.We are super pleased and I will bring my car there and my daughter’s who unfortunately went to the other shop and she still has issue. We are so lucky we found them. “I wish I could give Claudio 6 stars. You will never find another mechanic like him. He is honest and straightforward. I took my girlfriends car to Firestone over on Lake Murray and they told me I needed a new radiator, coolant cap and one more small small thing for a 2015 Honda fit with 35k miles. How much was Firestone going to charge me? $989.93...I took my car, paid the stupid fee and found this place. Let me tell you what Claudio found wrong. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It was an issue that's been recalled for this same reason. He didn't even charge me for checking the car, tires and engine. I will be making him a small basket for his kids and him to enjoy as a huge thank you. If you see this Claudio, again, we are truly grateful to have found your business. We will be coming back here if we ever do come across something again.”

Living in El Cajon, I was excited to find out that John's Automotive opened a new El Cajon branch, on Airport Drive. They contacted the local, coveted JWT for my clutch and flywheel and had them ready for when my csc delete arrived. This shop is family owned and operated and i couldn’t be more pleased with the value they bring to their customers. I immediately took both cars to the shop , a subaru and acura for preventive maintenance . Jeff had told me in advanced how much the estimates were and if our cars didn’t need anything additional it wouldn’t make sense to charge me for it.
