“I go out of my way just to come to the branch in Pinole,CA. When you call the number listed online you get to speak to someone instead of a machine which is unheard of. Only downside is no matter how much money you have in your account whether it is $3,000-$3,000,000, for the first year you can only use $3000 on your card of it per day. So a home remodel you will have to be a check if over 3k.”

“Great credit union at the heart of downtown Berkeley. Not very busy inside when I went to open an account and join the membership. They have the lowest rates around if you are looking for a loan, and the people are amazingly super friendly.”

“This is pretty late but anytime I go here there's incredible service! I'm horrible with names but there are two women there that always put in the most and I'm thankful for them. I went in today and someone started helping me but it was going to take longer since I had to look up information instead one of the ladies remembered me and got the information I needed quickly and without asking. Really good quality service and they are kind while doing it.”

“Gregory saved my day!!! I was being so patient and getting no results??? He handled my problem and left the door open for follow through! Promote him plsThis is still my favorite bank! The bank manager called me this morning with a reasonable explanation, I was very appreciative! I was intially patient because I had faith. Mistakes happen, and this bank has had my back in the past and I have theirs! I appreciate a neighborhood bank that has me feeling like I live in a small town! Blessings”

“After reading reviews about this location and the one on Shattuck, I came here to open an account. Glad I did. Their employees are so helpful and nice!!! Particularly Amarita and Jessica. They walked me through the process of opening a business account. Amarita even researched something with me, which proved to be helpful because when I got home I wouldn’t have found the information on the website had I not seen it at her office.Chase is so much better than Bank of America. And apparently are the largest in America so we don’t have to worry about it going under like recent banks around here have.Super happy with my experience and glad I came here (which is further away) to open a new account.”

“I had a horrible experience with my own (well, previously own) bank, Mechanics Bank El Sobrante branch when I attempted to open a trust account for an estate. That took me to First Republic. Even though I had no accounts with them, Windy and Randy were both so helpful and courteous. My account was open in half the time I'd spent with an awful manager at Mechanics - where nothing was accomplished. I can't give five stars as I don't have long experience with them. Also, I was a but nonplussed to be told initially that I would have to stand as they didn't have chairs for customers. I went in during their special hours for seniors. I suspect that other older folk like me have physical issues (mine is a bad knee) which make standing for more than a few minutes difficult. They did find me a chair, but shouldn't they have offered me one to begin with? Otherwise, I think I'm going to like my new bank - and we're moving our personal accounts here as well.”

“Friendly staff, yes it's a federal building and the hours are shorter but many of the rates are much cheaper then other banks and your cab use any atm to withdraw money. Highly recommended.”

“This is a great bank. They take care of you and are there when you need them. Mary is the best! I won't bank anywhere else. We have had a long standing relationship with Ca. Bank and Trust, both business and privet. They work hard for their customers. Thank you Ca. Bank and Trust.”

“I have had great interactions and customer service at this branch. This is my preferred Bank of the West branch and I live in Oakland. It is worth the drive to have tellers who address you and are considerate of your time.”

“I don't know why it was only given a three star! I have never once in over six years walked out feeling slighted or upset about service. Everyone behind the window is knowledgeable quick efficient and friendly. The officers as well. !”

“This place can't get enough stars! I've banked here since I was 16. Let's just say I'm a long time customers. I appreciate the small town banks, they know your name and you are in and out. There's never a line and you feel welcomed. If you've been banking at the big branches, it's time for you to rethink it.”

“Wonderful employees at the Benicia location. The security guard, Mike Jones, always offers a warm greeting, opening the door with a big smile. He is friendly, but also aware of everything in the branch. A rare combination of excellent customer service while being vigilant in his job. Thank you Mike!”

“I have been a member of this credit union for a number of years now and let me tell you, it reminds me of the way banking use to be. You know before everyone was being pushed out to the ATM and there was more than 1 Teller when you walked in. I don't know if it's the time I'm going in or what but I have NEVER had to wait any significant amount of time. Never more than 2 people in front of me and honestly, that is not often. The Tellers are all pleasant, Ms. Joyce is a sweetheart and the branch manager Mr. Campbell, OMG, he is amazing. It's like he literally knows everyone that comes in there. I think that's important because it's like he's taken time to know the members/customers. He is super pleasant, professional and has personally assisted me several times with my financial needs. This is a small branch but feels like a true community. Thank you Mr. Campbell for never being too busy to say hello or even give a wave if busy, it means a lot. You are your team are Awesome!”

“This is like a bank from another time, when men were men, and women were women, and little fuzzy things from Alpha Centauri were little fuzzy things from Alpha Centauri. It's like a bank from a movie where the director said "I need a cute little American Bank from the 1950s", and then the forgot to hire extras so every time the main character goes into the bank there are literally no other customers and everything gets done immediately by the friendly staff who have literally nothing else to do but take care of you personally. They even have their own little cute parking lot that always has a space. Really. I'm not making this up.”

“Some of your reviews do not seem to be focused specifically on this location, but on Wells Fargo as a whole. Please grow a brain (I know it may be hard for a lot of you, but trust me... it ain't impossible) and keep your reviews for the LOCATION, not the organization as a whole.”

“I had a great experience getting my loan with Inova, but what made it difficult for me was not being able to set up my account for auto pay. I had contacted Robin who walked me through the whole process. I was very frustrated by the time I called and I appreciate Robin's professionalism and guidance in helping me.”

“Well, I am not sure why so many people are bent out of shape with their negative reviews...I had a perfectly pleasant exchange with the teller who helped me. My ATM card got hacked, and I needed some cash, hence the ACTUAL human interaction! I didn't get her name, but she was courteous and sympathetic to my situation. One day, I'm sure most folks like myself, will have to accept the digital era. Face to face interactions with other humans will possibly be less frequent...but until that day? I will gladly exchange a smile and a quick hello with my fellow non-bots.Thank you me Lady...you brightened up an already sunny day, hopefully yours is a little brighter as well. Aaaand I have analog paper money in my pocket!Peace.”

“Staff is lovely; my dad and I have known everyone at this branch for years, and they’re always so helpful and willing to go the extra mile for their customers. Building is very very clean as well; I would recommend this location to anyone who uses Bank of the West!”

“I have been a member for 40 years and one thing has remained constant, the high standards of Member Service. Every Bank can take your deposit or cash a check but, when it really counts, does your Bank go to bat for you? the Credit Union has been there for our family, from getting a first car loan for our children, getting a Home Equity Line of Credit so we can pay for Childrens College, there for them again when they want to buy their first home, a the list goes on. Banking is and should be about relationships, the Credit Union nurtures this philosophy and Jennifer Gardella and her Staff are the BEST at what they do.”

“The Premier Client Relationship Consultant was able to take care of me and and my request in short time and just before closing. I love that the branch is open until 6PM!”

“Four stars but ONLY and I mean ONLY because the two guys working there when I walked in seemed cool and were "just following policy". I am a relatively new resident of Pt. Richmond. No Wells Fargo nearby, so went here to see if it was a good place to transfer all my family (and my business) WF accounts for convenience purposes (because I now live only about 5 minutes from this location in Pt. Richmond). After waiting in a short line, the teller (a nice professional guy) asked "Can I help you?" I said that my now adult daughter has a US Savings bond (now "matured") for one hundred dollars, and would it be OK for her to come in and cash it out? The teller asked another teller if that was OK, and the other teller said they could only do that "for current customers only". Fair enough and no hard feelings, so I left. BUT: Whoever is running that branch and making the rules really really has it backwards. Anyone who walks into the door is a potential customer- even if not on that day- and should walk out thinking "this place is great-I will be back and tell everyone I know to go here!!!". Even if the guy walking in the door just wants to break a ten dollar bill. He can be told "Hey if you ever want to open an account here, here's some information, and I will take good care of you!!" etc. But the policy of this branch is: Until and unless you are a customer here, don't bother to ask us for anything even though it costs us nothing and- by the way- we actually aren't all that interested whether you ever become a customer here in the future. SO: I transferred my WF Accounts to another bank in Marin.”
