“Although this store is a teeny tiny retail shop that has clearly outgrown its space years ago and has more of an on-line presence versus a large inventory actually in the retail space, we were happy to stop in and chat a bit about the Japanese toys we seek with the owner when we swung by. Not sure it would render a visit to go out of your way to this Austin location unless you were actually in the area, but we personally were glad to stop by. It is located amongst residential houses and next to small boutiques and various small businesses in the area. So not much of a store and maybe just call versus stopping in if you are seeking something. Or better yet, save yourself the trip and just visit their online store.”

“I was able to swing by after work on a Friday night thanks to their late hours. They had the exact pokemon box set I was looking for at MSRP which is even better. Now there's a full art holo Charizard card in my collection off to be graded thanks to Wonko's. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They didn't even seem to care I was showing up at like 11pm. Great store, great employees, can't wait to go back”

“I love Toy Joy and I'm thrilled with this new location! Need to buy a whimsical gift for someone? Or need someplace indoors to go for fun and to avoid the texas heat? Toy Joy is your place! There's an amazing little cafe located in Toy Joy towards the back that serves up delicious sweets, unique ice cream flavors, and coffee, so check it out before you browse around. There's also a fun selection of candies located in this back area that you won't find in your usual grocery store selection, so more finds to fulfill that sweet tooth. I love how Toy Joy isn't just a place for kids but really does appeal to adults too. There's such a wide array of products that span so many fandoms, from Harry Potter to Star Wars to anime and so much more. There are infinite options to buy gifts, such as quirky and funny knick knacks, board games, mugs, etc. My favorite section is the wonderful ornaments area that has all kinds of unique and fun decor to hang on your Christmas tree (my most recent purchase was a Chinese takeout container!). I have my eyes set on pizza and ramen ornaments next! I can always lose myself in Toy Joy for a while, perusing the shelves with all their whimsy. I love this new location and their cafe, so please check them out!”

“This place is super cool if you're a toy collector or need a quick gift for the child in your life. With a collection of classic toys, classic toy remakes, and plenty of new things, you're bound to find something for the kids (or you). The best part is, the service here is EXCELLENT and SUPER CHILL/FRIENDLY. The guy behind the register on my visit was very cool about asking if you needed help finding stuff, making suggestions, and just asking about how your day was coming along. This place is a great little tourist stop.”

“Awesome boutique in South Congress! I visited Little Limbo, as the A-frame sign drew me, pointing to the store on the side street, with a promise of cute gifts. Indeed there was. Little Limbo may not be large, as the name suggests, but it's really about the quality of items for sale here. I was able to find a lot of really awesome gifts for friends and couldn't help but laugh at a ton of items because they were either sarcastic or goofy. I dig that. The children's selection here is on point. I don't have any kids in my life, but if I did, this would be the kind of store I'd shop at. They have funny onesies and quirky and colorful toys, that you can just tell are from local artists and is unique. In addition to lots of cool kid's stuff here, they have a few home decor and accessories, some graphic tees, books and trendy greeting cards. I found a Michael Scott greeting card, which was perfect for my best friend. Five stars, indeed.”

The owners are nice and friendly. Highly recommend this place for all your kite needs as the festival is coming up this weekend :)”

I've been a Lakeshore Learning Store member for so long, my husband noticed my maiden name still appeared when we rang up at the register. Emma was super helpful and was able to update it for me, along with my current e-mail address. I also received a free tote bag for signing up for their text alert savings coupons. Thank you, Emma! “Wow! This store has a huge layout and several aisles of comics, manga, and kids' books. I didn't have a long time to go through everything but it was definitely quite impressive and the employees were cool to deal with as well. If I had any issues I'd say that the little parking lot in front is not the best but there's some more parking around the corner by the gaming store.”
