“Great card shop and super fun family vibe. Friendly to all with something for everyone. Staff is knowledgeable helpful and laid back. One of the cleanest nicest shops in the Austin area. Even have free arcades to entertain littles. Great place to stop by and learn about the hobby of find some cool pulls for good prices. Honest fair and friendly shop. My kids ask to go everyday just to look. Highly recommend if you collect or just like cards or have kids that do. I have 3 from 7 to 14 and the employees all make sure the kids get attention they need and the even trade some with my kids on occasion. Great place highly recommended”

“This was the next stop over Birthday weekend. Life got busy and only now catching up on reviews. This place is always fun and has SO MUCH stuff and things to do. It is both impressive and overwhelming. There were a TON of people which is not really my thing, I start to get overwhelmed but glad they are doing brisk business. They have comics, graphic novels, plushes, kids stuff, Candles, Board games, and so much more. Great to see. I was sad I couldn't find any Hack/Slash or Army of Darkness trade paperbacks or graphic novels but found a few other things to either complete a collection or try out for the first time. SHANA SAYS: "It's a super awesome place that provides community for games!" They are friendly here the place is huge, they made good use of the space and have tons of stuff but you never feel crowed by the displays and space. They are welcoming and it is always fun to see the art and displays here. I highly recommend at least one visit, gamers will love it. We also ran into an old friend working behind the counter. “Although this store is a teeny tiny retail shop that has clearly outgrown its space years ago and has more of an on-line presence versus a large inventory actually in the retail space, we were happy to stop in and chat a bit about the Japanese toys we seek with the owner when we swung by. Not sure it would render a visit to go out of your way to this Austin location unless you were actually in the area, but we personally were glad to stop by. It is located amongst residential houses and next to small boutiques and various small businesses in the area. So not much of a store and maybe just call versus stopping in if you are seeking something. Or better yet, save yourself the trip and just visit their online store.”

“I was able to swing by after work on a Friday night thanks to their late hours. They had the exact pokemon box set I was looking for at MSRP which is even better. Now there's a full art holo Charizard card in my collection off to be graded thanks to Wonko's. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They didn't even seem to care I was showing up at like 11pm. “I love Toy Joy and I'm thrilled with this new location! Need to buy a whimsical gift for someone? Or need someplace indoors to go for fun and to avoid the texas heat? Toy Joy is your place! There's an amazing little cafe located in Toy Joy towards the back that serves up delicious sweets, unique ice cream flavors, and coffee, so check it out before you browse around. There's also a fun selection of candies located in this back area that you won't find in your usual grocery store selection, so more finds to fulfill that sweet tooth. I love how Toy Joy isn't just a place for kids but really does appeal to adults too. There's such a wide array of products that span so many fandoms, from Harry Potter to Star Wars to anime and so much more. There are infinite options to buy gifts, such as quirky and funny knick knacks, board games, mugs, etc. My favorite section is the wonderful ornaments area that has all kinds of unique and fun decor to hang on your Christmas tree (my most recent purchase was a Chinese takeout container!). I have my eyes set on pizza and ramen ornaments next! I can always lose myself in Toy Joy for a while, perusing the shelves with all their whimsy. I love this new location and their cafe, so please check them out!”

He enthusiastically helped me swap it out for a new switch AND walked me through transferring my save data over to the new system! “Really good customer service from the custom framing department. The lady that helped me was professional and helpful. She seemed to care a lot in her selections of frames and mats. The price tag is quite high starting at $230+ and the turn around time is rather long, 2.5 weeks minimum. You do have to pay in full before placing the order. I haven't received the final product yet, but the service has been so far so good. Highly recommend.”
