“One of Austin's best little book shops. Impossible to not find something appealing. I've bought both art and books there.A fun trip to combine with the adjacent bakery, goth shop, and coffee diner.”
“It's always wonderful at this location. When in Austin we hit all the half price books in the area. This one is well organized and has great products! Plus the Austin perk of being pet friendly buildings you get to see all the fur babies!”

13492 US-183, Austin“This place is amazing!! It was recommended to me by a friend and I absolutely love it. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was amazing. Everything was reasonably priced and there were so many options! I ended up spending a pretty penny here, just over $180, but I got nearly 20 books, a CD, and a reusable bag out of that. I also found out they buy books/CDS/etc which is awesome! I will most definitely be coming back here next time I'm in the area. ?”
“They had the best customer service. 40 some high school students crashed the quiet store and if it bothered them or stressed them out, you couldn't tell. They were great!”
“I brought a big box full of my books. It only took them about 10 minutes to go to through them all and give me an offering. When I got there offering I asked if I can find out how much each book was worth and they were glad to do that for me. I kept a few that they only wanted to give me like $.10 for which were books that sell for over $20/$30 on Amazon. It’s all good though. I want to support places like this. They also purchase games and trading cards. I had a good experience.”
“Everyone who worked there had confidence in customers who came in with backpacks, and bags. Allow them to carry them while searching for a good book to buy and snuggle near a fireplace to read their newly bought book. The climate outside that day was a good day to buy a book & read it near a toasty fireplace. When I enter this place I get lost in my imagination.”
“How many actual brick and mortar book stores have you been to recently? This store is so poetically put together for the true book lovers to experience feeling and smelling the paper of a book and seeing what's out as you walk through the many sections. Right off Lamar and close to Whole Foods. They sell other stuff in addition to books with two floors. If it's out, it seems like they have it in stock. Shopping here is more of an experience than just coming in for a specific book. Today it was a book signing of Austin Heat with the author doing a talk and book signing. I already have the book from a prerelease event but I wanted to come hear her talk about the book in a more relaxed environment than the big book launch party.”

“Wow the Giving Witch ? Sharon just gave me a new ducky on a rainy day when I really needed it. Just absorbed the joy in her space, imagined a kid for me and my wife to play with all the toys, and gave her a big hug. Thanks it’s Krazy how a small gift and a big heart can make the sun come out”
“Awesome local bookstore. They have a lot of books you won't find in other stores and put on cool events. Make sure to check their Instagram for store hours.”

“Pastor Shules is outstanding. It is a Spirit filled Church. Have attended for over 15 years. Was married here, baptized here, and burial service will be held here. Can't say enough about how wonderful services are.”
“Should be a historic landmark of South Austin by now. Fantastic staff and a lovely way to spend time with friends and even alone exploring their wares.Lots of events and game playing goes down here too. Worth stopping in if in the area and are into Yugioh, Board Games, or Pokémon and more.”
“Great gift shop for UT students/parents or for any longhorn fans. Great selection of merchandise and small gifts. All their profit goes to scholarship as well. Picked up a few gifts from there on my visit. Loved this place!”

The salesperson quickly called another Barnes &Noble for us. Success, my husband picked it up for her. It’s a very relaxing atmosphere.”
“Best University in Texas...HANDS DOWN! It's an exceptional experience with a boutique college feel. It's a beautiful campus with fantastic faculty and staff!”

5335 Burnet Rd, Austin“This is my current favorite bookstore in the world, because even though the selection isn’t massive, it usually always has absolutely incredible finds. For example, pictured here is 1st edition, 1962 copy of the famous Carlos Fuentes novel, the death of Artemio Cruz. I also found one of the classics of Brazilian modernism that I was almost certain I would never find here in the United States. These are just two examples of the types of incredible gems You’ll find almost every single time you go”
“One of the nicer Barnes and Noble I've been to, it has an old world library mixed with an 80s mall sorta feel to it. My kids love coming here. We usually spend a few hours here every time we visit.”

3703 Kerbey Ln, Austin“Super cute book store right across the street from the original Kerbey Lane Cafe with a great selection of hard-to-find and out-of-print books it's easy to get lost for hours roaming the aisles... the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. A must visit shop for any and all bookworms!”

2506 W Parmer Ln, Austin“Great staff....very friendly! Half Price Books is one of my favorite places to shop. They always have exactly what I'm looking for at a great price??I saved over $15 purchasing the books I wanted from here vs ordering them online from another place. They also have lots of music options and accessories for your reading ? pleasure!”
“Cool space! I didn't stay for very long but I found a couple things that I liked including a calvin and hobbes comic and some poetry. It's pay by donation and I also grabbed a couple free stickers so I paid about $10.”
“This was a great place to score some awesome books. A great open floor plan with a wonderful selection. A great size kids and game section. One of the biggest half price locations I have been to. The staff was super helpful too. If we are in the area again we will be back for sure.”
“I've missed BookPeople since I moved away from Austin in 2015, so I was really excited to find that the airport has a location (or maybe two - it looked like there two when I was trying to check in)! Definitely nostalgic for me; I miss walking over to the location on N Lamar from my apartment that was pretty nearby. The shop is well stocked for its size (with books and snacks and some souvenir type items). I found a fun novel for the plane and grabbed a snack as well. Definitely a fun treat in the Austin airport!”
“I love Barnes & Noble because it is a guaranteed decent bookstore in whatever city you happen to be in. My complaint is not with this store but the company’s decision to organize the bookshelves in its current maze-like fashion. I miss the days when the books were alphabetized on shelves that were simply stacked one after the other.”

6001 W Parmer Ln Suite 150, Austin“Get some really cool stuff here. This Goodwill only gets donations from the neighborhood. There are No clothes, furniture, outdoor equipment , bikes here. I walk there almost every other day. Cool little place. I love the 3 ladies that work there! They are a hoot!”
“Lovely place with a wonderful variety of books. There is a sense that the books were thoughfully oragnized as well as carefully curated. The folks there are super kind as well. I can't wait to make this a new study/reading spot!”
