“I’ll start by saying this, I’m super picky about where I go to the gym. The trainers can’t be scared to give me constructive criticism because I’m there to grow. Also, the vibes of the members have to be good. That said, I cannot recommend this place enough. The trainers have taught me so much in my time spent there. Also, the community of people is awesome. Even if they don’t know me super well, I can count on the high fives/fist bumps after class.I only left the gym because I moved to a new city and the commute became too much. But trust me, if I could pick up this gym and move it to my new city, I totally would still be a member. Highly recommend!”

“I moved to Mt. Pleasant 6 months ago and joined Fit360 a month later. I absolutely love it. It has a small community feel to it, which is so motivating for me. I have the unlimited class membership and would highly recommend it. All of the trainers are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to help with any questions or concerns. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and stocked with top-notch equipment. Each class is different which keeps me interested and engaged, and class sizes are small enough that you can get personalized attention. The sense of community among members is palpable, creating a supportive and motivating atmosphere to achieve your fitness goals. “I used Bench Gym for a couple weeks while visiting for business. The staff responded quickly and communicated effectively. The gym is not large, but has everything you would need. It's located in the lobby of a commercial building, but once you figure that out, it's not difficult to locate. There was never more than two other clients when I was there, so even though it was small it never felt cramped. The workout itself was effective and efficient. They prioritized my safety (prior injury to consider) along with my workout program, which was very appreciated.”

“I love F45, their model of station to station with timed sets is perfect for me. I am someone who struggles when at the gym to continue working and avoid distraction. With F45 you are surrounded by supportive coaches who encourage you, correct form issues, and educate you about proper cooldown and workout balance. “I've been to several F45s throughout the country and this is by far the best one I've been to! The staff greeted me right away, made me feel welcomed, and showed me the lay out of the gym. There workouts are intense and you will definitely work up a sweat. My favorite days are Saturday's because the workouts are 60 minutes and I'm absolutely exhausted afterwards. The location has plenty of street parking and it is in a great area of DC.”

“I had never tried barre before coming to openBarre Studios. So, I was excited to find that the instructors and classmates were welcoming and kind. The environment is great for both newbies and the sculpted barre professional. They have a variety of class times to accommodate most schedules, from as early as 6 am to as late as 8 pm. The classes are challenging, but the instructors provide modifications for different strength levels. I have been attending classes at least twice a week for the last 6 weeks and definitely feel stronger. I recommend this studio.”

“I just joined the Urban Athletics Club and I am very happy I did! I’d give it 6 stars if I could!It’s a gem among gyms in DC, especially for those looking for encouragement, camaraderie, focus on health improvement, and teamwork.TBH, I was initially reticent to join since I’ve only worked out with home workouts, regular gyms, or apartment building gyms.I was reticent because I thought UAC was only a “CrossFit type” gym and thought it could be overly intense and cliquish.I was utterly and happily wrong.I say this because I’m not doing CrossFit, at least right now, but rather I’m following my own workout program to get into a modicum of shape. CrossFit maybe later. Lol.To that end, UAC has an excellent “Open Gym” option, which is very reasonably priced.With “Open Gym,” I can go there from dawn to late night to workout, subject to minimal periods when CrossFit classes are held - and even then - the chill vibe and friendly team there usually will let you do your own workout at the same time. It’s motivating to see the focus on fitness in everyone there.The owner, Graham, goes out of his way to make people, esp newcomers, feel welcome. He is very passionate about health improvement and fitness.The folks at UAC are very friendly and encouraging. We even had a holiday party at the gym this past weekend, where I thoroughly enjoyed talking to many of the other folks - without being out breath with ear buds in. Lol.I learned that the folks here have very interesting backgrounds outside the gym. This additional benefit is really important bc you’d hope to maybe meet new friends in DC, and this is a great place to do it, esp if you’re new to the DC area.I hope you consider UAC. I’m glad I got over my initial reticence bc it opened me up to a whole new community of great people.”

“This was my first time at this F45 location, second time attending a Mont Blanc Monday workout. However, I really liked this studio much more than the first one I visited. I liked that there was alot of natural light coming in from the window. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the owner Scott who cracked lots of jokes about my 64oz water bottle (it's a huge bottle!) I was acquainted with the studio by Scott and he gave me the run down of membership at the end. Him and the instructor Jay were super great at motivating and modifying workouts and posture throughout the session. There seemed to be a great community here -- everyone was so nice! The place was also really clean and well maintained. Bring your own water bottle 64oz or not -- they have a water station. They also provide microfiber towels and disinfectant spray so you can clean as you go. Additionally parking is free in Alexandria on the weekdays except 4-7pm and F45 has their own dedicated parking space. I was on the fence about F45 but I think after this visit I'm going to join in their 45 day challenge starting 2/5/24! It's a sweaty, fun time here that really makes you feel in shape!”

“I've been going to mint for 6 months now. I have had really good experiences with several different aspects of the gym. the place is really clean and nice. For the most part, people also seem to pick up after themselves after using a machine. There is plenty of equipment for any kind of workout you might wanna have. There is a lot of squat racks, bench press, benches, etc... only thing I would add is maybe another pec fly machine(always has one or two people using it). My favorite amenities were the sauna, cold towels and coffee machine.”
