“This small, family-run hardware store would be worth a visit JUST to see their huge, wall-sized antique collection of parts drawers! However, if you need something and are close enough to get to Wakarusa, it would be a mistake to not look here FIRST. I am constantly amazed that they seem to have just what I need, usually at competetive- to very- good prices, sometimes less expensive than the big box stores! Their very helpful employees make this a very efficient way to get that needed item! This is how neighborhood hardware stores USED to be.”

“I was at the Lowes Elkhart store yesterday and asked whether there was some kind of spray or treatment for patio cushions to deter critters. We have a lot of animal life and were leery of leaving patio cushions out. The garden dept. manager Mark came out, explained the store did not yet have a product like that currently in stock but he explained where to find it, how the outdoor section would be set up in a few weeks. He took real time to explain to a low-tech customer (me) not only about their products, but a little about how they reset for different seasons. It's nice to be treated like a human being instead of a "quick survey" taker. Mark is outstanding and rare in retail. Attentiveness has all but vanished in retail, but Mark is Old School straight-shooter customer service at its individualized best. Give him a raise.”

“Went to the paint section where an older gentleman was extremely helpful by showing me the different kids of paint and telling me which would best suit my needs. There was a plethora of colors to satisfy any paint need. I found the books for the different colors helpful bc it gave me ideas on which color would look best in my room with the color of my sheets and decor. I also found some of the supplies for my Pinterest crafting ideas there. All in all it was an amazing trip and I only spent $100 on everything (including a step ladder). I will be back next week to get colors for my living room.”

“I really do love Lowes for my local home-improvement needs and I cannot stress enough the app to purchase and pick up items quickly is a godsend. My only complaint is the flooring department. I not only shopped at this Lowe’s, but also a Lowe’s down the street… I had measurements taken at both Lowe’s, and both locations were so dysfunctional I did not go with either for my flooring (tile) needs.”
