“Filming a commercial here today so I guess they rent out the space to film shoots even though it's listed as a furniture/décor store. The inside is painted all white and has pretty unique structural/architectural accents. A bunch of beams line the ceiling, alcoves along the sides with skylights to let natural light in. There's also a full kitchen so you can potential throw a pretty nice dance party here! Just a thought :)”

“Very good selection of nice furniture at great prices. But maybe the most important thing is that the people there are honest. They do what they say, and say what they will do. 5 years ago we bought a houseful of furniture at great prices... fast forward to now and the 5 year old sofa had a problem. Probably because of covid I've sat on the sofa way more than normal. I contacted them, they found my original order and promptly sent out their guys for repair. We both knew the warranty was over, so it cost me a little money but they were prompt and most importantly we are sitting on a brand new sofa body. Perfect timing as our little grandson is coming over this weekend and will sleep on the sofa bed. Really nice and honest people go perfectly with great prices on cool furniture!!”

“This showroom is wonderful! I had been looking for months for a sofa that was NOT neutral and cookie cutter, which was all I was seeing in the usual furniture stores. Sofa Design Gallery had exactly what I was looking for! With little explanation from me, James took me straight to "my" sofa that I had been searching for. Literally love at 1st sight. It's very well-made, really comfortable and the fabric is gorgeous. And while I was there, I spotted a chair that I also liked a lot. I had it remade in a fabric that I picked out to match the sofa. I am completely happy with both pieces. Both James and Bijon were very helpful, their customer service was fantastic. Even their delivery guys were wonderful. They were very careful and professional. “I've been visiting Salvare for several years now, and it's hands down my favorite home furnishing store in SoCal. We've picked up many bigger (e.g., coffee table, chair) and smaller (e.g., pillows, ceramics) pieces, and there's always something fun and new to see in the shop. Prices are super fair, especially in LA. Selena, the owner, not only has fantastic taste, but is incredibly nice. Highly recommended!”

“Good place at this time of year to get a quality artificial tree. Very large selection. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Good prices.Located ground floor. Good parking. Handicap accessories. It's on west side of Sepulveda so with the traffic on that street it's best if your traveling south for easier entry to their lot. If your going north you'll have to cross 3 lanes of very heavy traffic.”

“After Necromance, sadly, closed their brick and mortar shop, there was a brief period in time where their combination of taxidermy and Victoriana was no where to be seen. I'm a big fan of Gold Bug in Pasadena, but they are not quite as "dark" in their aesthetic. Memento Mori, on the other hand, feels like a pretty good replacement. So, what are you going to find here? Well, as you may have guessed from my intro, taxidermy. The classic boars and deer heads preserved as wall ornaments...but also delicate butterflies beautifully arranged under glass domes. While no where near as extensive a collection of preserved animal parts as Necromance, there still is a decent collection, particularly for decor. Memento Mori also lacks the strong mothball smell that permeated the aforementioned store. There is a large collection of silver jewelry incorporating classic taxidermy elements, such as glass eyes. And lots of trinkets for those of a "gothic" aesthetic. They also carry a number of very comfortable tshirts bearing variations of their logo, one of which currently hangs in my closet. Memento Mori also appears to serve as a gothic community center: they always have flyers and posters advertising events such as Endless Night, a vampire-themed ball, or gothic-themed fairs for artisans. So, definitely worth a visit if your aesthetics or predilections lean to the darker side of life.”
