“This is a beautiful shop for gifts, jewelry, home goods, and generally uplifting one’s environment. I always find way too many awesome items here. It’s my go to spot for gifts, feels intimate, and is so well curated. It also makes me happy to shop in my Eagle Rock neighborhood first!”

“The most excellent retail experience all the way around. I purchased a floor lamp online and could not get it to stand straight. Called the store and the manager, Rod Hawkins, told me to bring it in and they would try to fix it. And if not, would get me a new one, assemble it at the store and all would be good. Their amazing assembly person fixed the lamp and I am one happy customer. Highly recommend this store and if you need help just reach out to Rod - he's the best.”

“For years this shop was originally on second street. It was fully supplied with items for the kitchen, dining, and other Japanese items. This shop is much smaller, no room to roam around like the other shop, where you could ogle and awe at wares. The owner of this shop is helpful. They have an adequate selection of ikebana vessels from Japan unlike anywhere else in LA. The prices are average considering import costs. Overall this shop is an important mainstay in the Japanese community.”

“Best place to get a variety of rare and healthy plants in LA! Elton and his team are very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and go above and beyond so you will leave very happy. Even with so many customers in and out, Elton remember us though we haven’t been there for a while. Even though they were so busy, they will happily answer questions you have and help your plants thrive.Rainbow also has very cute pots of all sizes! Their price is unbeatable and on top of that they gave us discounts on top of discounts. They get new plant shipments every Friday. If you can’t find a plant, ask them and they can tell you if they will get any in the near future.Check it out, you won’t regret it!”

“Such a cute shop! If you're looking for a unique gift, this is the place to look. The assortment of home goods (i.e. plates, bowls, knives, etc.) all look gorgeous and perfectly crafted. Anyone looking for a useful but also aesthetically pleasing item can find it here. I also appreciate that the tables were spaced out so we were able to push a stroller around comfortably without fear of knocking anything over. In the back left area, it also looked like they served Japanese matcha! Gotta check that out next time.”

“Tucked away in a charming home decor cove in Silverlake, this place is a true treasure trove. It boasts a delightful collection of art pieces, jewelry, and crystals that reflect the owner's passion for collecting unique items from her travels. The diverse range of treasures here adds a touch of wanderlust to the shopping experience. If you appreciate one-of-a-kind finds and the stories they carry, this store is a must-visit.”

“Earlier this year, I bought a canopy bed and 2 side tables from Tara Design. Larissa was so caring, friendly and honest. Another vendor I found online referred me to Larissa. I visited Tara Design and was impressed with the amount of inventory. I bought a gorgeous solid dark-wood canopy bed and Larissa had one of her delivery contacts bring the bed to my then-condo and assemble it. After that amazing experience, I decided to buy 2 bed tables and that purchase experience was also stellar. I will definitely return to Larissa and Tara Design when I am ready to furnish my new home. A+ experience/cost/customer service/inventory.”

“I've been visiting Salvare for several years now, and it's hands down my favorite home furnishing store in SoCal. We've picked up many bigger (e.g., coffee table, chair) and smaller (e.g., pillows, ceramics) pieces, and there's always something fun and new to see in the shop. Prices are super fair, especially in LA. Selena, the owner, not only has fantastic taste, but is incredibly nice. Highly recommended!”

“I was looking for a very specific type of bridal bouquet for my elopement, I wanted wild and whimsical, almost like I'd hand gathered from a wildflower filled hillside, with some bit of drape. I personally don't like the tight and rounded bouquets, give me wispy fairy bouquets any day! I wasn't sure if I'd find it nearby, but lo and behold doing a google search, I found Wild Stems on Beverly. Ana created the most gorgeous bouquet for my big day, and I loved it so much I decided to hang dry it as a decorative dried arrangement a few days afterwards instead of letting it die and tossing it out. I even dried the boutonnière, it looks so cute next to the bouquet. If you're looking for an artful, wildly beautiful bridal bouquet that will stand out, check out Wild Stems! Pinterest worthy and just the most gorgeous bouquet around town! Ana and her team are true floral artists. Thank you for making my dream bouquet!”

“What a quaint little store bringing natural hand crafted home goods. Love the uniqueness of each and every item. Would love for them to carry coffee spoons though. Grabbed us a few rice spoons to replace the plastic ones we had. No more plastic. ?”

“I honestly don't even know where to begin raving about my experience with Baby Jade. I was looking for a blanket for an upcoming baptism and Baby Jade was one of the first places that showed up on Yelp so I thought I would give it a shot as all the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, and boy, were they right. The shop was actually under construction when I went in, but Tammy was nice enough to let me in and show me all of her beautiful, hand-sewn wares--I was literally spoiled with choice, every single blanket (both baby and adult sized) was absolutely gorgeous, expertly made, and amazingly soft. I told her what it was for and she helped narrow down my options and I left that day deciding on a beautiful pink argyle blanket set (with the most delicate personalized stitching). Despite it being my first visit there, I left the small shop feeling like I had known Tammy for years--I don't think I've met anyone whose passion and dedication to making people happy was so overt and honest; she truly made me feel like I was so much more than a customer buying her product. Tammy was so unbelievably accommodating and worked with me and my hectic schedule--she met me (very early!!) in the morning just a couple days later to pick up the beautiful blankets, despite having a full day of activities herself and just like during my first visit to the store, I was blown away by her genuine kindness and generosity. The blanket was absolutely gorgeous and was wrapped up and ready to go and I was honestly a little sad for the whole thing to be over--THAT is how amazing my whole experience with Tammy and Darren was. I left her shop that day with the most amazing gift (as well as some beautiful scarves that she gifted me--again, unbelievably generous and warm) and I will 100% be back when it's time to get some warm blankets and scarves. I cannot recommend her enough if you are looking for a thoughtful, beautifully made gift for someone in your life and I'm so grateful I found Baby Jade on yelp!”

“Such a unique store with unique, fun and interesting merchandise. I'm so happy this mom and pop store has been able to thrive over the years as it truly is a favorite to visit in my town and it's terribly hard to be in business these days. They do such a good job with their Instagram page and promoting their awesome themed art shows and various art events. I love their annual pet show as always come home with portraits of my dog from the artists that attend. I love that you can order online. They helped out a lot during the pandemic. They are always so helpful when you go in too. This last weekend I went in to find some Valentine's Day gifts for family members and sure enough left with some fun goodies. Love shopping along Colorado And Eagle Rock Blvds.”

“I'm thrilled to have found Tonie at Sofa Decor in Eagle Rock. She has done several projects for me including recently reupholstering my dining chairs in a beautiful dusty rose mohair I couldn't resist. She recovered a cat-scratched West Elm chair with two favorite fabrics that had been hibernating in my closet for far too long. Now it's a perfect fit for The Jetsons' living room. Quality workmanship and reasonably priced, Tonie will work with you on tricky projects. I had botched a large sofa cushion trying to do it myself (bad idea). She took it apart and with some of my leftover fabric re-sewed it and pieced it together where it's completely unnoticeable. Highly recommend.”

I couldn't have asked for a more pleasurable, experience. Thank you Daniel.”

“I recently had a custom framing project done at this home decor store, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The staff was incredibly helpful in assisting me in choosing the perfect frame and matting options for my artwork. The attention to detail and precision in their work is outstanding. The final product exceeded my expectations, and the pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend this store for anyone in need of top-notch custom framing services.”

“I cant believe that Ive been coming to this store for like 7 years and it FINALLY DAWNED ON ME TO WRITE A REVIEW??! This store is soooo elegant and FULL of splendor and amazing curated vintage and modern pieces. It reminds me of a high end box of chocolates where the box and wrapping and ribbon is so elegant that you feel guilty for eating the candy lol. This place is my guilty pleasure. The decadence comes from the decor and selection but the sweetness comes from the staff. Its a small staff but they work hard to help you find what you are looking for and what you didnt even know you needed in your wardrobe! lol. The owners Marie and Ian are very kind and down to earth and have treated me so well all these years. I am truly grateful to them for helping my little collection of awesome vintage grow. I treasure everything I have bought from there. If you havent been here then you're missing out!”

“After Necromance, sadly, closed their brick and mortar shop, there was a brief period in time where their combination of taxidermy and Victoriana was no where to be seen. I'm a big fan of Gold Bug in Pasadena, but they are not quite as "dark" in their aesthetic. Memento Mori, on the other hand, feels like a pretty good replacement. So, what are you going to find here? Well, as you may have guessed from my intro, taxidermy. The classic boars and deer heads preserved as wall ornaments...but also delicate butterflies beautifully arranged under glass domes. While no where near as extensive a collection of preserved animal parts as Necromance, there still is a decent collection, particularly for decor. Memento Mori also lacks the strong mothball smell that permeated the aforementioned store. There is a large collection of silver jewelry incorporating classic taxidermy elements, such as glass eyes. And lots of trinkets for those of a "gothic" aesthetic. They also carry a number of very comfortable tshirts bearing variations of their logo, one of which currently hangs in my closet. Memento Mori also appears to serve as a gothic community center: they always have flyers and posters advertising events such as Endless Night, a vampire-themed ball, or gothic-themed fairs for artisans. So, definitely worth a visit if your aesthetics or predilections lean to the darker side of life.”

“I love this store. I hate over the top sales people or people who watch every step I make in a store. None of that here. I don't remember if they greeted me or not but I don't really care. They have fun shirts, cool books, unique gifts, and a cute little art gallery in the back. It's a boutique store so they charge a little more than other places... sorry if you can't afford it but don't hate. I go by once a week because I live right around the corner.”
