8011 University Ave Ste. C-1, La Mesa“I recently joined P360 La mesa and have really enjoyed attending classes on a regular basis. The coaches are personable and friendly I feel like they do care about their clients. I enjoy the structure of the class and that coaches will demonstrate alternative exercises. The gym itself is clean and everyone does their part to keep it that way. I didn't know if I would like the whole group workout or partner but I've grown to like it. One of the perks is their water dispenser always so clean and cold at the end of a workout. Another cool feature is the performance 360 application where I can track my weight count per exercise and reps and for being only 1 month I am seeing some progress and also better energy levels. So to me it has been worth the investment I will continue to attend Try a free class and take advantage of first month deal and seek those gains!!”
“Coach Mar and Alex are top notch trainers and motivators. Their facility is awesome, clean and inspiring, as are they as coaches. They have created a great vibe and atmosphere that’s equally fun as it is intense. I’m a huge fan, as is my 12 year-old son, which speaks to the range of their ability to train both young and old!”
“Extreme fitness is my favorite gym. If you’re looking for a place to workout that will challenge you, this is the gym to go to. The owner Alex and staff are great and super supportive. They are always there to help you with a workout and explain how to do it correctly. It’s never boring because workouts change constantly. I also highly recommend the personal training. It really has helped me with accountability and staying focus on my goals.I love that I can go to the gym and feel comfortable. It’s like a little family. Everyone cheers each other on and motivates each other to be better.Thank you Extreme Fitness for creating a place that makes you feel welcomed.”
“What I love about OrangeTheory Fitness... The coaches; the encouragement, the advice and postural adjustments, their energy. I love the loud music and the lighting. I like that every workout is different. Everyone is very so nice.”
“Best gym ever! Classes like personal training. It’s more like a family than a gym. They work with injuries also and make sure you are using equipment properly to avoid injuries. I had a wonderful experience with this gym. Last year they even had a Friendsgiving which was alot of fun. If you want to transform your body and be in great health I highly recommend this gym!!!”

I had always struggled with weight loss and had tried various methods without much success. But this time, things were different. From the moment I met the general manager, Shawn, I felt a spark of motivation that I had never experienced before. He had a contagious enthusiasm that rubbed off on me, inspiring me to set ambitious goals for myself. I was determined to make a change and shed the extra pounds that had been weighing me down for so long. However, the journey was not without its challenges. There were moments when I felt discouraged and wanted to give up. But Shawn had a way of keeping me focused and reminding me of my potential. He believed in me even when I doubted myself, and his unwavering support was instrumental in my success.Despite setbacks and temptations, I persevered. Shawn's constant encouragement and the supportive environment at Anytime Fitness provided me with the motivation I needed to stay on track. I started incorporating regular workouts into my routine, making healthier food choices, and adopting a more positive mindset.Through hard work, dedication, and the guidance of Shawn and the Anytime Fitness team, I achieved what I once thought was impossible. I lost over 50 pounds, a milestone that seemed unattainable when I first started. The transformation was not just physical but also mental and emotional. I gained confidence, improved my overall well-being, and developed a healthier relationship with food and exercise.Joining Anytime Fitness was more than just a gym membership; it was an investment in my health, happiness, and future. I am eternally grateful to Shawn for his unwavering belief in me and for helping me reach my goals. My journey at Anytime Fitness has been life-changing, and I am excited to continue on this path of health and wellness.”

7450 University Ave, La Mesa“I started at this gym January 2nd 2024 and I’ve been invited to 5 parties, lost 30 lbs, competed 3 times, and continue to meet new incredible people and try new classes! The class floor plan changes each week and follows a similar pattern throughout each day and usually alternates upper body and lower body focus days. At least that is what I’ve noticed. You have the opportunity to do heavier work sometimes and then there is also 4 CrossFit style classes a week if you enjoy Olympic lifting and CrossFit movements. All the trainers are super great that I’ve had so far and are knowledgeable about the movements and mobility! Highly recommend especially for endurance based training and cross training. It’s really helped me lose the weight! They have a few challenges a year and the prices are good and it’s fun to get points! Come to the 430pm class and say hi!”

I recently attended a session led by Selena at Livfit powered by Babes Bootcamp and was thoroughly impressed. ??Selena possesses a remarkable ability to motivate and energize the class. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she ensures that every participant feels included and challenged. The atmosphere she creates is both upbeat and supportive, making it an ideal way to kickstart the day. Babes Bootcamp consistently delivers a top-notch fitness experience, and I highly recommend their sessions for anyone looking to elevate their fitness routine.?”
“I have been attending the small group workouts at 5am and 6am for the last 3 months and absolutely love it! It’s now part of my routine. The trainers are so knowledgeable and very fun to start your day with! Thanks Lexi and Whitney for being amazing!”

Whether you want a general fitness program, to train to compete, this gym has it all. I started off coming for a general fitness program after having kids and now consider myself an athlete and participate in competitions. It adds a wonderful layer to your life!”

I joined open gym/OLY in April and was immediately adopted into the community as if I’d been working out there my whole life. With Josh’s Olympic lifting coaching and programming I have PR’d every lift within the span of 3 months. If you are looking to get fit and make friends this is the place for you!”

5841 Mission Gorge Rd H, San Diego“This has been one of the least intimidating CrossFit gyms to walk into (in San Diego). Class sizes are small, the coaches are approachable and friendly, the programming is scalable and no one's yelling "no rep" at you, the equipment and gym space is continuously getting upgraded, it's always clean. Coaches and members are genuine and are eager to get to KNOW YOU and not just care about your results or PRs. There are kid friendly, parent friendly, and family oriented classes too--that alone can say a lot about a gym's values. Very glad I chose to try this gym instead of go where everyone else was telling me to go.
P.S. if you're eager to smash the open, qualify for something, or compete--there are [more] competitive class times and multiple locations and all of the coaches are experienced and knowledgeable to push you towards those goals as well.”

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned athlete, Fortius East offers a welcoming community where you can push your limits and achieve your fitness goals without fear of judgment.”

9802 Magnolia Ave, Santee“One of the most clean, friendly and massive F45 studios I have visited. I was in town on business and dropped in for a few classes. Coaches were helpful and listened to what adjustments I needed to make. Thank you for having me F45 Santee!”
“I’m a new member of F45 La Mesa and I’m absolutely loving it! Coach Casey was super informative and helpful getting me started. The coaches are INCREDIBLE and the culture of the studio is encouraging and hard working. I love that all fitness levels can participate and everyone is equally encouraging. I’ve been in and out of gym life more many years and this is by far the best experience ever! I highly recommend to all! Any age and fitness level.”

1504 30th St, San Diego“Never have been a “gym” person so I was a bit uncertain of what the experience would be like. But I decided to sign up for personal training knowing I needed a kick start. What a great decision that was! Owner Kristin sized up my 73 year old body up and built a program that is energizing and bringing back some of the strength I’ve lost over the years. Best part is Kristen is connected and cares.”

6062 Lake Murray Blvd UNIT 205, La Mesa“I've been coming to BU since 2018 and there is no other place like it. Francine does an amazing job creating an inclusive environment for women to come and weight lift in small groups. She both challenges you and makes modifications when needed. Classes are well paced and perfect for work schedules whether you need an early morning or evening class. I've learned so much about weight lifting, form, and nutrition from Francine over the years while hitting PRs throughout. A fun bonus is the community outings we do throughout the year. There is no other community like this! Check it out, it is 110% worth your while.”

1810 John Towers Ave, El Cajon“I cannot rave enough about East County Crossfit! I started coming here when I moved to San Diego in 2023. Although there are many great coaches at East County, I have spent the most time with Coach Paul and Coach Erica. Both are fabulous coaches that are focused on preventing injury and helping you become strong and more athletic.I used to think that Crossfit was too intense for me or that I would bulk up. Spoiler alert, it is actually somewhat difficult to build muscle and found that instead of becoming bulky, I have become more lean and fit. And so much stronger! East County offers 3 different options at each workout, level 1, level 2 and an alternate option (like weight vest Wednesday), plus a fun partner workout on Fridays. Any one of any fitness level is able to join with the help of these fabulous coaches. My favorite part about East County is that it gave me a community when moving to a new city. I actually look forward to my 5:15am workout class! Okay, I also really appreciate the focus on longevity and preparing our bodies to be healthy as we age. I highly recommend this gym!”
“Obsessed is an understatement. This is the most amazing workout you will ever experience. Mary is such an inspiration. She drives you and pushes you in every way possible. From the environment to how welcome I felt makes me come back three times a week. She’s not just my gym instructor: she’s influenced my life and made me feel comfortable within my own skin. She knows all of her girls’ strengths and weaknesses and works with each and every one of us to ensure we are meeting our fitness goals. She has transformed my body and made me love the skin I’m in. I love to come to the gym just to see her and workout. The gym is always clean: top of the line equipment and the best is nothing is the same. You will always have something new to do: from the workout routine to the floor exercises. Aside from the gym she has the most comfortable clothing line :MK athleisure. Who doesn’t want to feel and look good while working out. She cares about each and every one of us and most importantly ensuring our form is correct while maneuvering through each workout.Thank you Mary for not only being my trainer but caring and motivating me to be a better version of myself. She was the best decision I ever made.”

“I’ve been a loyal member at Orange Theory Fitness Eastlake for several years now. The combination of a supportive staff, engaging workouts, and a strong sense of community truly stands out. It’s evident that group fitness, especially High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), is not only popular but backed by extensive research for its effectiveness in fitness. The unique color-coded exertion levels—green, orange, and red—allow for a personalized workout experience, catering to one’s pace and intensity. The dedication of the front desk staff and coaches in providing support is remarkable, further enhancing the inclusive community vibe that’s rare in other fitness studios or gyms. While there are many positives, like community, staff and effectiveness of workout ; there are also areas for improvement. The franchise model under a central governing body sometimes limits the incorporation of member feedback into the workout protocols.Specific points of concern include:1. Expanding the 2G Class Format: Previously, coaches could adjust to accommodate more than 34 members based on demand, but this flexibility has been restricted, leading to waitlists and limited access during peak hours. This is compounded by New years resolutions and OTF transformaiton challenge (members pays $35 for weight and body compostion analysis during an week period. During the Transformation challenge members are expected to attend 3 classes a week.2. Equipment Maintenance: With only one regional maintenance person, the upkeep of equipment like rowers and treadmills suffers, affecting usability. Even basics like ensuring cool water from the water machine, which has been dispensing warm water for months, are overlooked.3. Studio Cleanliness: Despite the staff’s efforts, the cleaning schedule does not keep up with high usage, and a professional cleaning service could improve the situation to perform regular deep cleaning.4. Member Feedback and Service: Although feedback is collected, it often seems neglected, with little action taken on issues raised by members. A more proactive approach and an additional forum for the leadership team to address and respond to member concerns would be beneficial. Members want to be heard and their concerned acknowledged and addresed.Orange Theory Fitness Eastlake is more than just a gym—it’s a community where staff and members alike invest their hearts and souls, creating a familial atmosphere. Like any organization, there are challenges, especially in maintaining a close connection with the community from a distance. As the southernmost studio, addressing these issues could elevate our experience to one of the premier fitness offerings in the Southbay.”
“Absolutely incredible gym and atmosphere. The equipment is so cool and old school, loved everything about this gym. One thing in particular I really appreciated was the straight bar attachment for the Lat pull-down machine. It’s a shame that very few gyms have this and I was so happy that this gym did! You can really come and train hard here. The owner was very kind and welcoming, he even gave me a free shirt for visiting. Left a lasting impression on me that I’ll always remember. Thank you for the awesome experience!”
