“I have been going to 701 Bayshore location for the last 1 year ( after did not get good service from other KellyMoore location). I love the staff here especially Jose Wu. The staff greet us the moment we step foot in the store. They make sure we got what we need and provide professional feedback to make sure we got the right materials. Jose tried many times to make sure he matches the right colors of the sample. This dedication of service is much needed nowadays. “Great guys! I was recycling some old paint I found in my garage, 7 gallons. I called & asked if there were any problems with me dropping off some old paint? The gentleman I spoke with said not @ all. When I arrived one of the salesmen came out to my car & helped me . I was quite impressed since I hadn't purchased anything. I've done business with them in the past & always left satisfied. The store is well lit & spacious, easy to find what you might need. Both gentlemen I spoke with were friendly, helpful , courteous & professionals. I left knowing this is a 'neighborhood' friendly business. It's refreshing to know not everyone is looking to make a buck ! Of course I'll be back for all my home painting projects.”

The young Asian male lend his assistance to me even though his co-worker, an African American female had told me that I brought an insufficient amount of paint chips for the matching. The Asian male was exceptionally courteous and helpful and he successfully matched the color and provided me with a gallon of paint that I needed to cover the graffiti on our Building. “From 1992 to 1995, I lived around the block, and I bought lots at Cole Hardware. I moved away in 1995, then returned in 2010. My wife and I have a house about a mile and then a smidge, away from this location. That means, after a fire consumed our neighborhood go-to, Progress Hardware, this business is once again the closest place for tools and sundries. So probably I have had a half dozen keys made there and stopped in a dozen times since the start of the pandemic. It is convenient. The prices are not an outrage. The truth is, for most items, I order online. But sometimes you need to buy whatever it is right that instant, in order to use it. And it is good to have a neighborhood shop such as this. That means we have to patronize it. Their customer service is excellent. They are friendly. It's the sort of business you feel good about having around. I hope enough people continue to shop there that they thrive. We would regret it otherwise. So pick up some nuts and bolts or fertilizer.”

“When our contractor recommended picking up some items for our remodel from Chu Supplies, I initially was dubious - both of the quality of the items the store would have available and the customer service. But I was very happy to be proven wrong on both issues! First, let me help set your expectations. This isn't a big box store like Home Depot where you have easy access to resources (e.g., online guides or in-person staff) to help guide and/or make informed decisions about what to buy. If you have no idea what you need to buy, it probably will be less frustrating for everyone involved if you did some research on your own (or in consultation with your contractor) before going to the store. Having said that, Wallace and Kent at the front counters are great and super helpful! Yes, it helps if you speak Cantonese, but their English (especially Wallace's) is very good. Together, they are the perfect odd "couple" - Wallace has a more easy-going, patient vibe, while Kent is super efficient and straight-to-the-point. As far as I can tell, they carry - or at least, can order - many of the items that you can buy from a big box store for a cheaper price point. From cheaper, generic, hollow core doors to VELUX skylights to high end tankless water heaters, etc. Just keep in mind that each of their locations specialize/carry different categories of products. There may be cheaper options out there, but the combination of location, price, and return policy makes Chu Supplies an excellent choice in my book!”
