1825A Post St, San Francisco“These indoor and outdoor plants are very well-cared for. They have unique and hard to find species of plants. I found a shiny zz plant. And the next time I go to Japan town I'll be sure to buy another plant.”
“Highly recommend for a small gift or better yet, to beautify your own home.Tasteful selection of succulents and indoor plants. Truly unique and colorful moss, pebble and planter selection.Giftware, including an impressive display of crystals and a cultivated selection of greeting cards, make this boutique a hidden jewel.”
“Having Delano provide Our Business with such fine materials and containers, gorgeous healthy blooming plants, cute, traditional basket gardens, trendy new 'Instagram' tropicals and lush full green plants keeps our customers happy and returning for more. Side by side, my customers will choose Delano plants over their competitors. Blooming plants are beautiful Now, today for the event I need them for...not waiting for them to be showy for later when the event is over. And then my customers tell me that their plant is still happy and thriving. Great Customer Service means I am having a pleasant intelligent knowledgeable staff member handle my needs, even when it's early morning. Thank you everyone at Delano, for being there when I need You! OH, and their office staff has made sure that my pre-ordered special requests are at the SF Flower Market, waiting for me. Thanks!”
“Prices are amazing!! The owner is so friendly!! The plants are so healthy!! 10/10 recommend. Found this place off of Facebook marketplace and will def be coming back.”
“Absolutely adore this shop! Fantastic service, beautiful, healthy plants. Purchased soil and it is so dark and smells like earth should!I especially love that pet friendly plants are marked (with adorable paw prints) as both my cat and dog like to graze if they somehow manage to get up to the plants.”
“The San Francisco Flower Market is my all time favorite spot in the bay to buy unique and vibrant flowers to make my own bouquets for special occasions or to make my day! The shop owners/floral community is so sweet and always welcoming. Though more expensive for someone without a wholesale license, still reasonable for piecing together a bouquet of your own liking.”
“I’m so happy this store is in the neighborhood! The owner was super nice and helpful each time I’ve gone in. And her husband help bring one of the plants I got to my car! And she does stick super cute pots and propagation hangers!”
8:30AM - 5:30PM
2700 Sloat Blvd, San Francisco“I have only recently found this place, and what a gem it is!! The plants are beautiful, prices are very reasonable (almost the price of Home Depot, but much better quality), and service is superb! Conor helped us out at check out, and he was very kind and helpful. The nursery has its own parking lot, and the place is large and well organized. We will be purchasing all our plants from here from now on.”
“I’ve spent a small fortune over the years on plants from this nursery. They have all the common houseplants to the rarer collectibles and everything in between. Prices for most plants are competitive but the rarer ones are very pricey as to be expected. Friendly staff, big variety of plants, highly recommend.”
9AM - 6PM
70 4th St, San Francisco“The people there were attentive without feeling like one was monitoring you. Before leaving because I couldn't find what I was looking for I was stopped by a staff and he genuinely asked if I found everything I was looking for. My response was no and I went into detail what I was looking for. Afterward, he told me a relatable story and helped me find what I was looking for and it was much, much cheaper than buying it through Amazon. Rex, you are awesome and I greatly appreciate the relevant story and your assistance.”
11AM - 7PM
824 Valencia St, San Francisco“What a nifty store full of oddities. Lost track of time as I browsed around since there is always some other cool looking treasure to be found. Would recommend popping in to see what you can find too!”
“Heron's Head Nursery feels like a lush oasis. Seriously felt rejuvenated just being there. If I still worked in the Bayview, I would want to go there to hang out and wander around on a regular. They have a wide variety of plants at reasonable prices.Leila and Elliott were both really helpful and pointed out some plants that could be suitable for our yard project. They also mentioned that we should check out Bay Natives next door since we were specifically looking for CA native plants.”
“Great customer service - I’d been eying an item for a while and when i finally went to buy it, it was out of stock. They took my name down and called me when it came back in.They have a great selection of books, gardening tools & kitchen items.”
“Very quick service. I got my duplicate keys made here. Reached just half an hour before closing time and I was out of the store in 5 minutes. I also called before going to confirm they make duplicate keys or not. Great Service. Thanks.”
“Lovely out of the way plant store. Attractive and rather busy. Good place to go if you are looking for plants for yard and garden. It's not a flower shop.”
8AM - 7PM
2254 Polk St, San Francisco“While I always enjoy going into Cole Hardware, Kevin really exceeded my expectations earlier this week. I had a major issue with paint spilling into my car and he was patient and kind - recommended the best products for me and helped me when I was in dire need. No more suburb hardware stores for me - it's Cole Hardware on Polk every time. Thanks Kevin - you're the best!”
8AM - 7PM
956 Cole St, San Francisco“From 1992 to 1995, I lived around the block, and I bought lots at Cole Hardware. I moved away in 1995, then returned in 2010. My wife and I have a house about a mile and then a smidge, away from this location. That means, after a fire consumed our neighborhood go-to, Progress Hardware, this business is once again the closest place for tools and sundries. So probably I have had a half dozen keys made there and stopped in a dozen times since the start of the pandemic. It is convenient. The prices are not an outrage. The truth is, for most items, I order online. But sometimes you need to buy whatever it is right that instant, in order to use it. And it is good to have a neighborhood shop such as this. That means we have to patronize it. Their customer service is excellent. They are friendly. It's the sort of business you feel good about having around. I hope enough people continue to shop there that they thrive. We would regret it otherwise. So pick up some nuts and bolts or fertilizer.”
9:30AM - 5:30PM
10 Cargo Way, San Francisco“Bay Natives is truly unique. An arty nursery where you can see alot of beautiful, native plants grown in a "funky as the old San Francisco" setting. There's places to sit, bring a thermos or a picnic and relax. You can bike there, take a Heron's Head hike, sit at the skate park by the creek on Illinois, visit Building Resources, hear live music at the New Farm which borders City Grazing. Goats, chickens, live music, two gorgeous nurseries, eggs for sale it's a chance to get off your screen and walk around a truly unique area of San Francisco. Worth every second and every dollar thank you!”
11AM - 6PM
2181A Union St, San Francisco“What a lovely and well maintained shop! There's quite a variety of plants and planters and I was provided with free repotting! So happy with the plants I purchased, they're gorgeous and clearly happy and well taken care of by the shop owner.”
“I like buying from small locally owned stores. This one has a good selection & friendly knowledgeable staff. Make sure to go upstairs, there are some gems up there on a second floor.I bought a small plant & some soil & they answered many more questions than the value of my purchase. Found a plastic pot I'd had a hard time finding & threw it in. Will be back!”
