“Customer service is a make or break for me. Especially when it comes to hotels. 5 stars does not do this hotel justice. Their customer service is exceptional! Every worker I’ve interacted with has been amazing. Yesterday, when I checked in, a young woman with curly brown hair helped me and she made me feel like I was her only customer. I can’t even explain the experience but she is absolutely meant for customer service. She sent up a bottle of water to my room (I wanted to see Relay in action!!) and sent this note too! It truly made my entire week… and it’s been a rough one. The gentleman working tonight was super helpful with my questions and even delivered my DoorDash to my room! I usually have to go down to the lobby for it so I was pleasantly surprised.

Also, can we take a moment of silence for this beautiful towel turtle?! Incredible!! Also, I’ve never had a Holiday Inn Express have a note typed up and laid on my bed for my arrival.

This has been a 10/5 experience all around. I hope the executive team sees this review and appreciates each individual employee at this specific location because THIS is what customer service is about!”

“I never would've guessed how cute and clean this place was from the road, but was truly impressed! Wonderful front desk service, the location is fantastic to downtown Redwood City restaurants as well as transportation, located two blocks away from train station, the room was very clean and had every basic amenity you could need! Would certainly recommend and will be back!”

“Very good for the price! Came to the Stanford hospital on an emergency trip and had to spend the night. The front desk man was extremely helpful. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The parking is a bit tight but it was fine.

Im a heavy sleeper so I slept fine but the walls are a bit thin. You can kind of hear the showers and toilet flushings of your neighbors. If you’re room is downstairs you will also hear the footsteps of the upstairs rooms. So if you’re a very light sleeper, keep that in mind.

All in all, I personally have no complaints and would stay again if I was in the area. ?”

“This Best Western was a hidden gem! The staff were all super friendly, especially Bhavash the manager. The pool/courtyard area was so tranquil – like an oasis in city. The rooms were spotless, the beds were comfy, and the location couldn't be beat. Right off the El Camino and right next door to Stacks which is an amazing breakfast resturant. And 30 mins from San Jose and San Francisco. Overall, a fantastic stay for the price! Definitely recommend this place”

“This hotel has a great view of the lake and has trails that are nearby for a walk ?‍♂️ or a good run ?‍♀️. The location is not close to any restaurants. The salmon dish I had was very good and not overcooked.”

“I was slightly bummed on how different the rooms on the 'other side' were compared to the room in stayed in above the office last year. May as well have been a completely different property. Hopefully they can update the other rooms soon... Owners are nice. Parking lot is small. Didn't have to leave a deposit. All in all I'd stay again (just hopefully in one of the updated rooms.)”

“Very nice hotel, bad location. There is nothing nearby and in typical California style it doesn't feel safe to walk anywhere.

Rooms: Room was nice and had a unique layout that I really liked. Comfortable bed. Room had a balcony with seating, but the door had no handle and was permanently shut.

Nearby activities: None.

Walkability: Nothing worth walking to anywhere nearby.”

“I arrived late at night and, unfortunately, the booking site messed up my reservation.

Fortunately however, Renee was working the front desk and was possibly the most helpful hotel employee I've had the pleasure of working with. She went way above and beyond to help me try to resolve the issue with the booking company, and then went the extra mile again to help me get a room for the night for some much-needed sleep. Her help turned what was initially a frustrating situation into a relaxing, comfortable night's sleep. Which is exactly what I really needed!

The location is convenient and the rooms are well maintained and comfortable. I was impressed with the water pressure and hot water, as those aren't a given at many hotels. I will be staying here again the next time I pass through the area.”

“Its a pretty low budget motel it has good amenities a refrigerator and a microwave and a clean bathroom but the decor is dated and the TV is from 1990 but if you just need a cheap place to lay yoir head for a night or two the bed is huge and comfortable to my taste I would recommend if you had no other option in price range

Walkability: You are right on El Camino Real in redwood city

Food & drinks: There are a few restaurants in walking distance”

“Nice, clean room. It looked like it had been recently renovated. The best part is that they are pet friendly and their pet fees are reasonable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”
