“An exceptionally warm hotel stuck so we'll in time with the modern ties coexisting so perfectly with the fireplaces in the rooms and in the lobby. Staff are warm and helpful at all times. But mostly it is the vibrant buzz of the place that I like the most.Conveniently located near the Uni”

“Staff is helpful, rooms are clean but small, rate for the area is very good, don't hear neighbors in the room next to you.9/25/2023 update: breakfast room downstairs is being renovated, so if you want hot water for tea, go to 3rd floor water filter.Walkability: Easy walk to most SLAC meetings, especially the conference room.”

“As I mentioned on other reviews, our plans over the summer were changed at the last minute by wildfires in Canada. This resulted in us having to change plans on the hoof and for a number of reasons we ended up booking 3 nights here. The hotel is OK – I’d say it feels more like an upscale business hotel not a vacation spot (though it was very busy with families in July). For me, it didn’t feel luxurious enough in terms of the room product or location. Our first suite looked over a very busy road but we were then moved to overlook the pool which was better. The suite is more like a junior suite with the bedroom area separated by a partial wall. The sleeping area was small, however the bed was comfortable with very soft linens. There is a small hallway leading into the sitting area which is well stocked with coffee maker, kettle, fridge, cups etc. The bathroom - although it only had a single basin - had plenty of storage and had a large shower cubicle with rain-head as well as a good bath. The dressing room had very little short-hanging space but other than that was well planned. However, the staff in the restaurant are VERY good – several of them German, perfectly trained and on point. One of them recommended the excellent Village Pub for a meal one evening which we very much enjoyed. Also, if there on a Thursday do go to the bar - Thursday evenings are rather an entertaining “scene”.”

“I stayed at Rosewood Sand Hill in December, and visited Madera numerous times and put up colleagues at the hotel for conferences. The service has been absolutely exceptional at every level.Recently, Jason at the bar delighted me and Christian, the bar manager was kind enough to go above and beyond and provide us with specialty vermouth. Not to mention, the Christmas tree is absolutely stunning.”

“Staying at this hotel for business, the room is very spacious. The room I got has two double beds, accommodating four people. The hotel has all the necessary amenities, and the front desk staff are very friendly. The hotel also provides breakfast with decent ingredients, though it's a bit simple with limited choices, and the breakfast options remain the same every day. They also offer complimentary freshly brewed coffee, which is a bonus.”

“The staff was absolutely great. I loved everything at the hotel. So I inquired about other properties. The general manager Marsha was lovely, impressive, and a genuine spirit.Special thanks to Charlene at the front desk. She was very helpful and polite.Rooms: If you love contemporary with pops of color and the lighting is perfect. There wasn't a thing missing!! Beds are also comfortable for a good nights rest.Nearby activities: This is located in a business park and several car dealerships where nearby.Safety: You will want to valet and may want to walk alone from the self parking garage it's not attached.Walkability: Not recommended car is neededFood & drinks: Loved the coffee and breakfast. The dinner and lunch, the presentations are great but lacking in taste for the cost. Area for dining and drinks have more than one area for seating. It can accommodate more than one mood in different areas”
