My current bank was closed, so we asked a few banks in Menlo Park and every one of them seemed to delight in saying No. Bank of the West (now called BMO) was the only one that helped her out in exchaning a roll of quarters cheerfully! “This company is the best company if you want trust company that has no morals or ethics. The are involved in so many lawsuits just google Northern Trust lawsuits. They received 1 billion during the bank bailout by mistake and spent the money on. A two day ultra lavish party for themselves and stop clients. They also will any trusts under 2 Million invest about 75-80 percent in their funds. A couple of years ago their funds lost $100,000 of my money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.. I went to IDAHO TRUST AND HAVE ALREADY EARNED ALOT MORE MONEY AND THEY ACTUALLY HAVE PROVEN THAT THEY CARE ABOUT ME.”

Called customer service and was unable to get my account unlocked even after hours of wait and several transfers between departments.I came to this branch and received tremendous help from Leon Shallop. “This is an amazing bank with an incredibly nice manager and outstanding customer service. The bank has very light traffic, there is never a line and you can have a personal relationship with the bank manager (Michelle M). They definitely will go the extra mile for you. “I may have concurred with the 2 star rating across the board however I think Wells Fargo has accomplished a lovely thing. By chance and never expecting to become a client, I visited the Santa Cruz Ave, Menlo Park branch to take care of some Wells Fargo specific banking needs. Thankfully, I had someone who was an account holder but much to my surprise, the customer service was absolutely amazing. Having been a 20 yr client of "conservative" Union Bank, what a refreshing ease of transaction for a change! Fast forward a few months, had the same " in house, Wells Fargo need" Called blindly on New Years Eve! The branch manager picked up, within 1 hr, was at the branch, an assigned account manager addressing my needs and out the door, SUPER thrilled to be a new client and my banking needs addressed to a tee. Based on my previous interactions and a recent account opening at another bank up the street (acronym: BA") I can truly say, BRAVO. The fact that this branch doesn't treat clients like internet hackers, money launderers or down enemy #1 is truly an appreciated and a welcomed look. Thank you Wells Fargo, Santa Cruz Ave, Menlo Park Branch. (Resident in the area since 1980.)”

“This review is based on the excellent service I received today from Elva Lee at the Palo Alto Citibank Branch. Recently, I visited the San Carlos location to have my checking account changed (I won't get into the specifics) but was told by the Branch Manager Sonny Kastilani that it could not be done without closing my account. It wasn't necessarily what he said but the condescending tone and smirk he had the whole time he was talking to me. He was extremely disrespectful and rude. I don't know how Citibank tolerates this behavior from any of their employees, let alone a person in charge who should be setting an example of how to treat customers. Elva took the time to look into my account - an account I've had with the bank dating back the 80s when it was opened with a now non-existent bank that was purchased by Citibank. She even called someone to find out exactly what could be done. The bottom line is she took the time to help me, got what I needed done, and is an extremely pleasant person. I was prepared to change banks after the service I received in San Carlos, but Elva changed my mind. She is a real asset to Citibank!”
