“This is a great nursery with excellent personable service. Anytime I've had a plant question they've always been able to answer it above and beyond. They look up stuff for me and find the answer. They are so knowledgeable and have given me valuable tips about growing my vegetables. The owners are truly passionate about plants and eager to help you be a successful gardener. They helped me identify a bacterial problem that was beginning to appear my beloved lemon tree and what they suggested did the trick. My lemons are healthier now.They have some hard to find edibles there like Goji berry plants and San Marino variety tomatoes. With their great service, eagerness to help, and good inventory on plants they have become one of my go to places to get vegetables and edibles for my garden.”

They were incredibly patient and knowledgable about different grass varieties, soil conditions, irrigation, drought tolerance, and installation. It was really a lot more than I could have expected. The customer service was incredible and if we end up getting sod, this is definitely the place we'll go!”

“A friend recommended this place and so glad they did. The store is gorgeous and has such fun plants. Sales clerk were sweet and very knowledgeable. I told them my outdoor plant set up and they were able to point me in the direction of a Fishbone Cactus. They told me about the flower it blooms and showed pictures. Very excited for this new plant addition! Also, the pot it was in was too wide for my balcony so they repotted it into two cute pots I got there for me before I left! $2 for the soil, $20 for each ceramic pot, $50 for plant that I could've easily split into a 3rd pot!”

“Contra Costa Topsoil is a family run operation. You can tell because they go the extra mile for you. Tonja works in the office --and she makes deliveries too! She's very professional and friendly. Arrived on time as promised and took great care in maneuvering the truck to an area we picked. She took extra precautions to prevent damage to edge of the pavers and made sure to ask about any sprinkler heads being in the area. In scheduling the delivery she gave up some of her weekend to make this delivery happen in a timely manner. I really appreciate this extra attention to detail, and you can be sure we will be returning customers. THANK YOU TONJAAlso: I Iove the special Ruth Bancroft Blend Soil which they make onsite. It is a light mix; has pumice and perlite as well as other ingredients which ensure drainage and a steady diet of micronutrients. In addition to using it to make some raised succulent/cactus beds I'm spreading it lightly over my whole garden.”

These two nice ladies, that was working there referred me to a gentleman named Pete, He was nice, knowledgeable and he knew what I was looking for. It was only five left! He made my day! I’ve been looking for these tiles for months. Pete is the Man! If you’re ever in Home Depot in Martinez, ask for Pete! Thanks Pete.”

“This is a rating for the Lumber Associate only. His name is Leo and he was awesome to put it simply. I came in yesterday with a project in mind and he patiently and efficiently helped me get my shopping list completed. One of the items was lumber and I wasn't sure what I needed. After having to pick up lots of heavy wood and then eventually putting them back (because I told him the wrong size, oops) he was still so patient and helpful and then got me the ones I did need. He sorted through the entire pile to get me the best boards, when I might not have even known the difference. He also cut every board for me and pushed my heavy cart for me. As a young woman I feel somewhat intimidated going to places like Home Depot, but associates like Leo really give me more confidence and make me want to do more projects!! Thank you Leo!”

“I wasn't expecting to review Home Depot. But my last interaction I just wanted to share as it really was amazing. Customer service on multiple levels. It had been sometimes since I use my Home Depot card and that was not an option while I was shopping online. I did reach out to the customer service line and the gentleman was very helpful pleasant Was able to find me easily and we had a wonderful discussion. I added a fairly significantly priced item to my order at that time mainly because I just felt comfortable. Customer Service on the phone call was above and beyond. Now I had set both of my orders it had to be split, because the large one was coming from a different warehouse For delivery. A smaller order of some galvanized roofing material and a couple other things I set up for delivery. It was easy it was very inexpensive and it was at my house before I woke up look I've got access to trucks if I ask, I do have a utility trailer. It's kind of a pain in the you know what to hook up and get down there and get back home absolutely, wonderful experience with that delivery now I am able to jump to work first thing this morning with everything that I need. I will continue to shop at Home Depot. Thank you for the great service.”

Stephen found us and although he could not cut them himself he stayed nearby, spoke with other associates, and made several announcements to help us. We were very grateful to him and credit him with managing to finally get someone over after an over 20min wait.
