“It's my neighborhood liquor and wine and beer spot, and it is great! They don't disappoint on selection and the staff are SUPER helpful. I love the January wine sale. Mostly because of dry Januarys and my need to torture myself. Great place to buy your hooch.”

“Unassuming from the outside, totally unpretentious inside. This is an actual liquor store, where you go to buy hard liquor, not snacks.Ledger’s has the most interesting and well-curated selection of them of any store I know in the Berkeley area. The building size is a limitation and they don’t have everything, but it’s the most fun place to browse.I have an unfortunate predilection for the pricey stuff, but they’re as reasonable as anywhere.”

“This place has the friendliest service, we come here often, and the attached market has really nice Italian grocery items, and is great for grabbing a beverage to go with their sandwiches. The porchetta sandwich is so good, and don’t sleep on the mortadella!”

“Great service and ambiance. Place where there are great places to sit for a quick coffee, go heads down on your laptop, or have lunch with a small team or group of friends.I was not blown away by the coffee or food I tried, but was decent and made up for by the rest.”

“I've been to Occidental a couple of times now, and it has quickly become the place for my friends and I to get a great drink and smoke a cigar after work; even the ones who don't smoke! The selection of cigars is fantastic and the owners mix up an excellent Manhattan. The ambience and decor of the joint is what you would expect from such an establishment and will not disappoint. Most important however, the owners make cigar smoking accessible to newer folks, and the clientele is probably the most diverse your going to find in a bar around the FiDi.I would absolutely recommend the Occidental to anyone looking to smoke a cigar and have a drink in SF.”

“Love this brewery bar! Everyone is so welcoming. My personal favorite was the lemon grass beer. So flavorful! I got some to go as well. There was a Korean food vendor from SF outside the venue so we got some snacks to go with the bar. Will be back !”

“Candy store for adults. They have an amazing selection of everything one can be looking for. The staff is also very knowledgeable. I asked for a nice rate bourbon and got an amazing bottle of a 15 years old bourbon that is very tasty and complex in the profile. They seem to have a club that opens up opportunities to get other rare bottles of spirits such as Pappy. Worth checking out.”

“A lovely little wine shop tucked away with a fascinating array of bottles arranged by country and type. A real Risk game of territory competing for your eyeline and tastebuds. A wineshop that's analogous to stumbling into a dusty bookstore where you wander around for what catches your feels. Very nice and helpful staff too! And if you, trusty reader, would like a rec, go for a Sauvignon Blanc and try something funky and weird! ($12 and $18 for the two bottles I got)”

“I came to San Francisco on holiday from the UK as part of a road trip few days, and seeing as this was one of the few convenience stores near my hotel, I went to check it out. Was not disappointed.Really friendly staff, the lady Morning was such a sweetheart, always loved seeing and chatting with her. A great selection of food and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and great tasting sandwiches.5 stars from me, I absolutely have to visit again the next time i'm in San Francisco ✌️”

“Open late until 2am, carry huge selection of liquor and wines, mixers, sodas, groceries you'd expect from your neighborhood convenience store and the guys behind the counter are always professional and courteous. The reason I give it a four and not a five star is parking can be a huge challenge.”

“I go here mostly for specialty beverages that can be hard to find elsewhere. Their selection of wines is jaw-dropping, and the prices are much lower than bev-mo and total wines. If you love fine wine and spirits, you won't find anything better than K&L.”

“A great local resource for a classic no-frills sandwich, and a huge variety of snacks and beverages, plus economical fresh produce. Not an imported ham sort of place, and priced accordingly. Service is fast, excellent, and price is on point. Great deal, convenient location. Highly recommended.”

“This is a good lunch spot for FiDi. Sandwiches are $12.50-$14. Salads are $10-$11. Prices on their website are outdated. My sandwich , the LLB special $12.50 was roast beef, turkey, ham, swiss, provolone on dutch crunch, was alright. The New England Clam Chowder $8.50 was chunky and not filled all the way up. That tasted OK as well. Friendly service for a counter style restaurant. Kitchen was fast taking account they were busy. I was pretty full afterwards.”

“Me and my partner love this place the boba is great and so are the snack foods. The only issue I have is the last time we went which wasn't that long ago less than a month I'd say and we booked a 90 minute time window and we were able to do the course multiple times. But this time when we tried to do another round because we had an hour left in our time window we were told that it would be extra to do another round. I'm fine with that if it was advertised like that, instead of allowing us to book a 90 minute window instead maybe say "1 round that may take up to 90 minutes" or something along those lines. Other than that amazing place to have fun.”
