“My father is works as a longshoreman and ever since I was a baby he has set aside a little bit of money each month for me in cases of emergency. For 27 years that account went untouched until my most recent visit back home when I lost my credit card and cell phone. Not wanting to wait until I came back to DC to get a new phone, I went with my dad to get money out of the the elusive "Longshoreman" account. This place rocks. In general, I am a big proponent of credit unions so that only adds to the kudos I give this place. It's located in the middle of nowhere but there is ample parking and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Not since my college days have I gone to a bank to withdrawal money (usually I just use my ATM card) and all I could remember of them were long lines and rude staff. Not here. The line went very quickly, as did my transaction. You have to have a family member involved in the Longshoremen union to have an account here so my suggestion would be to find one as this place rocks!”

Olivia had been helping me through a stressful process of closing my account. If I was not moving to a state where they are not located I would have stayed with them. I have been a member of columbia bank for over 20years and was actually sad I even had to leave them. This bank watches out for you and when there has been only 3 issues with money being stolen from my account (lost my debit card, cashier washed my check and now this)they give me no hassle and try to get the funds back after following the proper process.
