“I've had a really great experience with this credit union, and I have used them for two car loans. My truck was totaled and the gap insurance, Safe-Guard Gap, is dragging their feet on covering the gap(will never use them again), but my payment with Harborstone is due and I walked in and the manager, Dennis, was very helpful. He informed me of what will be happening with this loan, and he made me feel much better about not being able to cover my loan and told me that he will note my account so I don't get collector calls because of my situation. I have had great experiences both in person and over the phone and I would definitely recommend them to my friends.”
“I just started my 3rd loan through these guys. They are absolutely spectacular! I've purchased 2 vehicles with their help, one through a lot and one by private sale (yes you can do that!). now thanks to them I will be paying off a high interest loan elsewhere and buying a new dishwasher. Staff is pleasant to work with and the process is quick and painless. They're even located next to a licensing office for easy vehicle sale. “Update: Previous bad experience below (eventually the hold came off and i got direct deposit but BECU never actually reached out about this again), however, I had to go in again for a name change and ordering checks and had a great experience. Changing my review from 1 star to 4I just opened an account with BECU as I moved to Washington from Illinois and my bank doesnt have a branch near here. My family also has accounts here and I was told how great BECU is.I opened my account online and mobile deposited my payroll check and a five business day hold was put on it.I messaged with a representative on the BECU mobile chat and was told that the hold could be taken off but it would need a manager to make an exception.When I came into this branch to try and get it sorted out I felt the people I talked to (I can't remember their names) were a little condescending and didnt want to help me at all. The manager also told me there was "no way" that an exception could be made and the hold taken off.I've worked at Banks and was told to never put a hold on a payroll check so I thought it was very strange that a credit union would do so and wouldn't even work with me on it.Being told how great BECU was, this is really not a great way to start off.”

Disabled husband with wife still working, getting by week to week watching every penny a bad actor somewhere tried to steal every thing from us. No, we are not part of the "elite entitled rich upperclass" paycheck to paycheck is more accurate. Timberland stepped up and handled this B.S. in 1 day!
