“I was experiencing some head gasket issues in my 4.7L Dakota and decided to take the heads off to get a good look at the issue. Turns out something got into the number eight cylinder and scored the cylinder walls. I pulled the motor, broke it down, and scoured my area for machine shops available to perform the work. I quickly found out that everybody was buried in work and months out from accepting new jobs. However, after reaching out to Mike at AAM, he said he'd love to fit me in with a one-off job. I brought him the disassembled block (with bed plate, no crankshaft) and the cylinder heads for some boring / honing of the cylinders and cutting of the mating surfaces (block deck and cylinder heads). He was able to hang my new pistons on my old rods (he even discovered one was bent and managed to replace it with a known good one), perform a quick lap job on some valves, and get everything back to me in about five weeks. Even after the job was completed, Mike was gracious enough with his time to answer a few questions regarding ring gaps and even recommended Heads Up Inc in Auburn to repair a damaged bolt hole in the driver side cylinder head.This was my first engine rebuild and it was a blast. Mike and his team were easy to work with, incredibly knowledgeable, quick, and more than gracious with their time. I know a bit about engine building theory, but Mike was available to answer any questions I had regarding parts and quell my fears that cropped up relating to ring gaps. Most importantly, I chose Mike because of his willingness to go through and answer most (if not all) of the review comments, including those that appeared to have been made by people that weren't customers. That went a long way with me. Furthermore, the discussion we had regarding what needed to be done with the block lined up exactly with what I was expecting. His demeanor and tone were easy-going and reassuring. I suspect he would have performed the same great quality of work regardless of whether I knew what I was doing or not. The next engine I decide to rebuild will absolutely be brought to Mike and his team at AAM. I can't say enough good things about them or the work that they performed. “This shop did a killer job with the alignment on my '99 Jeep Wrangler (TJ). My brother and I replaced the suspension and almost all of the steering, and then we had a rear track bar bracket break off the frame which needed to be welded back on. We did our best (especially my brother) but the Jeep was still tracking like a**. Took it to Auburn Car Repair & Off-road (all the way from Port Orchard) because the owner, John, is a local legend. I was not disappointed.For the first time since I bought this jeep in 2017 it drives straight. John (or his tech) found two control arms upside-down, a loose bolt on my front track bar, and a few other issues and corrected them. He warned me that my steering gearbox is a bit sloppy (which I already knew) but didn't try pressuring me or upselling any work. He just made my rig driveable and it's no longer a liability on the road. Worth every penny.”

“I took my friend's wheel hub and bearing to get pressed and the service over there is incredible. The shop is very clean and everyone over there is very professional. I was in and out with the hub and the cost was extremely reasonable. Definitely would recommend to more people.”

“It’s a long story, in 2019 a dealership had my truck sent down to them for a warranty repair that turned into a full engine replacement. The owner was amazing to work with and preformed amazing work. Went down to pick my truck up and drove like brand new. Owner only gets new or ultra low mile engines. Warranty company shafted the owner for the rest of the bill, I didnt find out about this tell 2023. Called the owner and talked for a bit and had a great catching up conversation. I will always take my diesel trucks to them even though I don’t live close to the area. The dealership sent my truck with the engine in pieces and they took care of it right away. I apologize about the warranty company shafting you and if I would have known I would have helped fight it.Pleasure to work with and a customer for life!”

“These guys did a great job on rebuilding my carburetor. I was about to throw in the towel with my Q Jet and go fuel injected. I had them rebuild it after speaking with them on the phone and felt they actually knew what they were doing with a Q Jet. After getting the carb back, I installed it on the engine and it fired right up! Idle was better than it had ever been! Truck sounds amazing with the 383 and Q Jet. Highly recommend for a carb rebuild as it will be done right the first time.”

Believe me when I say this car came back to be a whole different vehicle lol, the interior was caked in mold in every crevice you can imagine including all of the seat belts u0026 between the seats ? the beige leather seats u0026 dash were so grimy it looked horrendous ? so when this car came back to me it looked brighter u0026 brand new on the inside!! ??? “Great shop, great springs if you want to haul weight. I bought a used 1-ton pickup with a set of Gitt's 5+1 springs in the rear and let me tell you those springs mean business! It takes about 4000# in the back of that truck just to soften the ride a little. I recently took a different truck in for a heavier helper spring pack for hauling a camper, and the staff were friendly, quick and on budget, they did a good job and had me out early in the afternoon. They custom-arced the springs so that they don't engage when the truck is empty, and the ride is unchanged.”

“As someone who works in the auto industry, I usually get lots of red flags when buying cars. Martin was only green flags from beginning to end. We showed up on a Thursday night to test drive, and Martin gave us the keys for the Crosstrek that we were looking at, and told us to bring it back when we were done. No sales pressure, and he didn't ask to go with us. My husband and I took it around Auburn, and on the highway to ensure that everything worked as it should. We were able to truly test drive it and not feel any pressure. We pulled into an empty parking lot and opened every door, the hood and the hatch. We checked EVERYTHING without some nosy salesman over our shoulder. It gave us an opportunity to experience the car the way that you would when you got it home. The Crosstrek had been in an accident, so before we had gotten there, Martin had sent me the Carfax, photos of the damage, and all other pertinent information so that my husband and I knew EXACTLY what we were getting into. The car drives like a dream, and the repair work from the accident is beautiful. The frame is straight, the paint match on the new panels is perfect, and the gaps between the panels are as aligned as they were when they were new. My husband and I came back on Saturday after thinking everything over and finishing up the money situation, and Martin greeted us again with a smile. Over the weekend, Martin was answering all of my questions via phone calls and texts, and was incredibly patient with us. Before we got the keys, he put a full tank of gas in the car, and got it washed and the interior vacuumed. The paperwork part of the transaction was easy since Martin filled everything out for us, and explained each document and what it meant. Now that we've had the car for a few days, and I've had time to deeply look into the repairs, I can say that I'm even more pleased. The care that was put into this car is evident, and I'm so excited to have it for the adventures that my husband and I are planning to go on.
