“This is my favorite post office in all of Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. My daughter lives not too far from this post office and it's also located on my way to work in Norfolk. So even though it's a 25 minute drive for me to get here, it's well worth the drive. I have only had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for a clerk a couple of times, many times no wait at all. This post office is less busy than other surrounding post offices. Usually just one clerk. But the service is fabulous. The clerks are friendly and efficient. There is plenty of ample parking. I give this post office 5 stars or more if I could.”

“This is the closest Post Office in the area. I am giving them 4 out of 5 stars because they can not keep workers. This location is constantly business but only has one customer service representative helping customers. This happens on a regular basis. Example on a Friday at 515, there is a line out the door. After 45 mins, I am inside. I inquire about what is causing the delay. A gentleman explains that most workers got sent to the hospital due to COVID which only left one teller. Now I am no expert but I'm thinking this location should have closed and got disinfected or cleaned. Anyway, the one staff that was left has been working at this location for at least 10 years. He is the friendliest person they have on staff. His interaction with all customers is a blessing. This gentleman takes extra care with the elderly and explains things to them. If you have patience and want quality service, this is the post office.”

“My mailman Mike Kaiser is the best mailman I have ever had. He goes above and beyond in assisting us in my wife’s EBay side business from day one. Most of the time if I have a good day, and have more than 5 or 6 big packages for him to pick up, and he has no room, he comes back to my house to pick them up after his full day, wow!!! He comes back!!! When he has been on vacation, I have had some substitutes tell me they have no room and keep driving, even though I put in a pick up request. I can’t imagine my eBay being as successful as it it has without mailman Mike!!! Thank you!!!”

“Left Portsmouth post office, not sure why I went in the first place, they are complete trash….and came to this wonderful post office and was greeted by a wonderful young lady smiling and was very nice and helpful!! What a complete difference in the two cities! Great job Chesapeake Square post office I will always come here!!”
