“I normally try to avoid cell phone stores at all costs as it tends to be an overwhelmingly and frustrating experience. I’ve dealt with years of poor service with my old carrier and decided to switch my family’s plan and upgrade our phones through Verizon, specifically the location on Cedar Road. Wow!!!! The service I received that day from a very sweet young lady, Jessica S., was absolutely impeccable. My experience was nothing I expected, but everything I could hope for. Jessica was extremely patient and thoroughly explained the transfer process. She was nice enough to help me learn some of the differences upgrading to my new iPhone. What absolutely pushed me over the moon is that Jessica even called me the next day to see how I was adjusting to the phone and invited me back into the store in the case I need assistance with anything else. The customer service I received not only in the store, but also after leaving, exceeded my prior expectations of how phone carrier stores treat their customers. I highly recommend this store to everyone; I even more so recommend Jessica S! Keep up the good work!!”

I had the pleasure of have one of your field representatives (Vitalii ****** come to my home and FIX a TV problem that had been going off and on for over 3 months. This is after many phone calls and 2 other technicians coming out. He gave his business care and said for me to call if I had any further issues. Well, today I called him with what turned out to be a minor issue. It was even his day off! He walked me thru the problem in about 5 minutes. (Which probably would haven taken at least 45 mins. to even get someone on the phone and most likely would have had to dispatch a service tech, a couple of days later). “10 STAR service with Shawn at this Verizon location.
Shawn is literally the epitome of great customer service. I’m taking the time to write an extensive review, because the level of quality and consistent customer service that he provided is what is keeping me as a Verizon customer…I am so impressed by his character and commitment, I hope his management sees his value and potential because it is unparalleled.
I came into the store a couple of months ago with one of my children’s phone malfunctioning. Shawn was a superb at this visit as well as the subsequent months that followed. He understood my fixed income and worked a deal that allowed me to upgrade a phone as well as replace my child’s phone with minimal increase to my phone bill. He was not at all pushy with any of the products or services and I could actually tell that he was sincere, he wasn’t attached to ‘making the sale’ with his only attachment to an outcome was that my needs were being met.
There was a snafu during the transaction that caused me to lose one of the rewards that I had on my account that shouldn’t have been taken off during this transaction. I left with a promise that he would work with me to get it resolved and he kept his promise through many more interactions and three-way calls to the corporate help center.
On the first call to get the issue fixed, he had the patience of Job (from the bible) – I wanted to lose my temper several times with the representative on the other line, who it was clear that English was not her first language, thus causing more frustration in communication. I am not exaggerating, when I share that Shawn very respectfully explained and re-explained the issue to the service rep, who was being rather challenging, at least 10 times; And this was even when it was clear the rep herself was talking in circles about the issue. He was on the line with the rep for over an hour and we left that call with a temporary fix, a service ticket, and a plan to call again next month. He was so polite, explaining that he was there to be a team with their office and he was just doing his best to support his customer with what should have happened with the phone changes. Having taught leadership and communication at a large organization for many years, I was super impressed in how he was treating and handling this rep, truly coming across as patient and as a team player even when it was clear that the rep was in the wrong; I felt like screaming at her at some points because of her attitude and complete lack of understanding when it the situation was explained multiple different ways!!!
The next call went much better as the rep quickly understood the issue and again temporarily fixed the issue with the hope that the next time, we called the situation would be permanently resolved.
Shawn went out of his way to remind me to call him at the designated time to ensure the monthly bill would be adjusted. Thankfully, at this last connection point, Verizon permanently fixed the billing issue.
Never have I been taken care of as a customer with this very high-level quality customer service that was consistent each time during our interactions and engagement with his other team members. Shawn’s discipline and intelligence (cognitive and emotional) is really something to be applauded, admired and replicated. Verizon should literally use Shawn as the gold standard for training new employees – if they did, I’d bet they would have a lot more customers, happy customers!
