“T Bar M Camps & Retreats has a family and Christian vibe to it that is not overt, lying just beneath the surface. Any guest from any spiritual or secular walk would feel comfortable here. As described in the advertisement, this is a sprawling property with loads of recreational venues and activities both indoors and outdoors. It is located within one hour from downtown San Antonio, yet feels very rural except for its closeness to Highway 46, which allowed for a bit of obtrusive traffic noise, and to a housing development.The room at the lodge looked to have been recently refreshed, featuring paint that looked newly applied, and custom fixtures in the bathroom, along with a fashionable walk-in shower with no tub. The room featured a refrigerator, but no microwave cooker and no coffee service. All buildings campus-wide were a good balance of rustic and luxury. The campus-wide Wi-Fi was easy to connect to and was stable and reliable.Beverages for a business conference were slow to be replenished for the next session, requiring participants to use the water cooler in the entrance area.The food was delicious and expertly cooked. The dining room was opened and meals served on time and in some instances, a few minutes early. The dining staff were gracious and accommodating. The manager would not accept a tip for her staff's excellent cooking and service. One of the beverages at one meal ran out and was not replaced.Four stars for T Bar M Camps & Retreats. All guests were in agreement that a return visit next year would be worth the somewhat steep admission price, which was worth every dollar.”

“Great customer service, great location, clean facility. Rooms a great size, the suite was wonderful, the regular rooms are wonderful as well and very accommodating. Breakfast is very good and you could order from room service if you don’t feel like ordering out or going out for food. They have direct TV with allllll the channels, that’s a plus for me. Microwave and fridge in all rooms. The suite has a stove and normal size fridge. I stayed here on two different occasions.
Rooms: Nice size and clean dry cleaning available and iron and ironing board, desk lounge area microwave and fridge and toiletries. Clean towels and wash cloths
Safety: I had no bad experiences with anything here, and they do have surrounding cameras.”

“The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Service was great. Everybody very friendly. The only thing I was kinda not agreeable about was the breakfast. Eggs were yucky,maybe powdered eggs. Not great. Sausage was not cooked all the way . Couldn't get to the waffles too many people were in line for that. There was no biscuits,bread for toast, no more milk for cereals. No bagels. Maybe we just got their too late. 7:30. But oh well we got what we could and it did the job so yeah. It was free meal.Rooms: Just comfortable and clean and very nice.Safety: Very safe.”

“The room is alright, has everything we needed but there's not a lot of space- it's kind of small. The lady checking us in had just a little bit of an attitude but she was helpful. I like that it's quiet here and there's not a lot going on. At other hotels in this area, the people in other rooms tend to be out and about and wanting to talk to you, but I like to be left alone so I like how not much goes on here. Oh and the bathroom is pretty gross, not gonna lie. And the towels are stained.”

“We stayed at the TownePlace suits for 85 days. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Whenever we needed towels or the rooms to be cleaned they would do it right away. We were treated like family. The suits that we stayed at were very clean and nice smelling. The hotel was very clean and smelled nice all of the time. I think the prices were very reasonable. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.Rooms: The rooms were always clean and smelled great. The rooms had great space.Nearby activities: All the local activities are within driving distance of the hotel.Food & drinks: I enjoy their free continental breakfast every morning. They had a variety of different kinds of options for breakfast. They also had a happy hour between 4-6PM for drinks.Noteworthy details: In the backyard behind the pool there was a covered area for the guest to have a cook out with family or friends. They also had a heated pool. I felt that that was a fantastic feature for those days that were a little cool but still wanted to go for a swim. Towels are near by for added convenience.”
