“We stayed here two nights after a horrid, horrid downtown San Antonio motel and we were SO relieved to be in a clean, well operated hotel. The breakfast was quite good--real eggs and meats, lots of choices of cereals and pastries, etc. A coffee machine available 24/7 in the lobby. Pool and hot tub in atrium were lovely and well maintained. Housekeeping was very helpful in getting us new towels, etc. The only glitch was I wanted to pay with cash, and the front desk guy told me that they have to swipe a credit card as deposit, and I could pay with cash when we checked out. Well, no. . . . they charged my credit card immediately and the man at the front desk at that time said he could not reverse the charges and let me pay with cash. (And what if I didn't have a credit card at all? Couldn't they have just taken cash up front to begin with?) So I was unhappy about that. But overall, it's a well-managed place and I will stay there again when I am in the area, which i visit regularly.”
