You won’t find much gortex, and other hi-tech fabric clothes here. Think more classic cotton, wool, and waxed canvas outwear from Pendleton, Barbur, and Carhartt. Excellent selection of Levi’s and Wrangler jeans.”

“Beanstalk has some frustratingly limited hours, making it difficult to patronize on the regular (especially during the work week!), but when you do manage to get in the door, there's some fantastic treasures to be found here. Although it is primarily a consignment children's clothing store, you'll also find no shortage of wonderful, analog toys to plant the seeds of imagination in your little ones, in the hope that they'll sprout into clever, intelligent, fully-functioning, not-screen-addicted adults! This must be a conscious choice, because I could find nary an electronic device anywhere in the shop! Big kudos from me on that point alone! As for the clothing, let's just say, you're spoilt for choice. While some of the items are a little on the pricier side than I would like for a consignment shop, the quality of the clothing here is impeccable: clean, well-organized, and a healthy variety of sizes and styles. Everything you could need for any age, from newborn and toddler, up through the early grade school years: shirts, pants, dresses, hats, coats, shoes (TONS of shoes!), costumes, and all sorts of accessories! There's also a small selection of baby stuff in the back, including cribs, swings, and a host of different devices that I have no clue as to their function, but will assuredly be learning about them in the coming months (my wife is due next month)! In the last year, I have come to learn that shopping for a new child sucks, mostly because there is a dearth of places that have any quantity of clothing and accessories, outside of the big box stores, which I would prefer not to frequent, if possible. Thankfully, Beanstalk is here to pick up the slack, but you DO have to make an effort to get here during operating hours, particularly if you work during the week: Saturday (from 10am to 5pm) is your only real available option.”

“I absolutely love this store! A friend took me shopping at an Athleta store in another state, and i was floored at the quality of their products and the graciousness of their employees. Now i shop in a stire at home a couple times pwr year. Yes, their clothes are a bit more than others, but the quality and durability is worth the price, especially if you shop the semi-annual sales! “So why was I here on the far side of Portland yesterday? The answer is that this is one of the few places I can buy a 2X Tall shirt for my big boned son. This Eddie Bauer is located within a the large and disorienting Clackamas Town Center. That means that all I wanted to do is get in, find the place, buy the shirts, and get out ASAP. Yet, while I was here, the selection was decent, the clearance pricing was tempting, and our mission was accomplished.”
“Been consigning for years here. Always find good gear for the changing seasons. Friendly staff, went through the items to consign quickly—while I waited, I perused the books—high quality and wide ranging selection—I always find books on my list for my PreK classroom. For a small store, it’s well stocked—yet easy to peruse as it’s well organized and there are always sweet locally made treasures among the displays such as hand crafted hair accessories and the like. It’s right next to Starbucks and Whole Foods and a postal store which makes gift shopping easy one stop experience! Thank you”
