You won’t find much gortex, and other hi-tech fabric clothes here. Think more classic cotton, wool, and waxed canvas outwear from Pendleton, Barbur, and Carhartt. “Beanstalk has some frustratingly limited hours, making it difficult to patronize on the regular (especially during the work week!), but when you do manage to get in the door, there's some fantastic treasures to be found here. Although it is primarily a consignment children's clothing store, you'll also find no shortage of wonderful, analog toys to plant the seeds of imagination in your little ones, in the hope that they'll sprout into clever, intelligent, fully-functioning, not-screen-addicted adults! This must be a conscious choice, because I could find nary an electronic device anywhere in the shop! Big kudos from me on that point alone! As for the clothing, let's just say, you're spoilt for choice. While some of the items are a little on the pricier side than I would like for a consignment shop, the quality of the clothing here is impeccable: clean, well-organized, and a healthy variety of sizes and styles. Everything you could need for any age, from newborn and toddler, up through the early grade school years: shirts, pants, dresses, hats, coats, shoes (TONS of shoes!), costumes, and all sorts of accessories! There's also a small selection of baby stuff in the back, including cribs, swings, and a host of different devices that I have no clue as to their function, but will assuredly be learning about them in the coming months (my wife is due next month)! In the last year, I have come to learn that shopping for a new child sucks, mostly because there is a dearth of places that have any quantity of clothing and accessories, outside of the big box stores, which I would prefer not to frequent, if possible. Thankfully, Beanstalk is here to pick up the slack, but you DO have to make an effort to get here during operating hours, particularly if you work during the week: Saturday (from 10am to 5pm) is your only real available option.”

“So why was I here on the far side of Portland yesterday? The answer is that this is one of the few places I can buy a 2X Tall shirt for my big boned son. This Eddie Bauer is located within a the large and disorienting Clackamas Town Center. That means that all I wanted to do is get in, find the place, buy the shirts, and get out ASAP. Yet, while I was here, the selection was decent, the clearance pricing was tempting, and our mission was accomplished.”

“I have found a hidden gem!! I didn't know jcpenney had a salon.I have been going to this jcpenney salon at Washington Square mall for several years. Do to my schedule, I have seen a bunch of stylists at their salon Denise, Amvy, Corina,Oliver and Cynthia and as of recent I just seen Christal and Rachel. Every appointment has been amazing and happy with my services . The manager Jenny Mae is very perfessional , always happy and smiling, and runs a very clean salon. A great manager truly shows and reflects on the stylist and how sweet and professional everyone is. The most important is you can be yourself and not be judged. Helpful hint, if you have to go in to pick up anything or return anything in store, park over by the shoe section. There's no other check stands open usually for anything.
