3900 SW Murray Blvd, Beaverton“The German American School of Portland should be ranked as the Number One private school in Portland. Based on a diligent, holistic comparison of the top 10 private schools, I personally interviewed and screened at least the 5 I thought catered to the needs of a demanding mom like me; safety, discipline, teacher-student ratio, community culture, pricing, curriculum and alumni experience (not necessarily in that order). It came close to another school but I am so glad that I took the hit to forego a few hundred dollars in pre-reg and instead placed my son here in Kindergarten. After a year, my belief in the school is strengthened even more. This school "CARES" about your child. There is little hype. There are opportunities for families to get involved but not the pressure. It "RESPECTS" your time and your money. They are the best at what they do and yet not snobbish. And, everyone here "SMILES". Just down-to-earth, enthusiastic learning with some German added, to expand my child's intellectual horizons. I'm most grateful, and proud to be a part of it.”
“Wonderful, caring teachers and great curriculum. My kids have gone to this daycare for over 6 years and we love it! The teachers are wonderful and create a great family atmosphere for the kids. I have always felt good about leaving my kids in the hands of such loving people. They make learning fun for the kids!Update - still absolutely love this daycare! The teachers are just as amazing and truly care for your kids!”
“Overall a good educational experience, and a great facility. It’s big enough to let the kids get their wiggles out but not too big they could get lost. My kids learned a lot here and it’s paying dividends now that they are in school. However there are some drawbacks to be expected:Parking is really difficult (too few spaces), and fellow parents routinely park in the no parking section which further blocks access to the parking behind the building. It’s also along a busy road so street parking was a little scary - especially if you have multiple little ones in those winter months (dark and rainy). They are a peanut free facility - not my jam (pun intended). There weren’t any parent-teacher meetings while we were there (unless I set them up myself). And feedback was sparse. I would have appreciated more updates on their learning track. So be sure to take initiative in knowing how they are doing.”

5650 SW Hall Blvd, Beaverton“Kids love it. Schools test scores much higher than public schools in the area.Kids learn so much more because of smaller class size and more one on one with the teachers. One of the best schools in Beaverton.”

7400 SW Scholls Ferry Rd, Beaverton“We have been so lucky to send my son here for the past year in North Bethany location. The teachers were amazing as they helped my son to make himself home from Day 1. He loved his classmates and all the fun times he had with them. They were all super friendly as well :) I cannot be more than grateful for all the staff members who made my son feel comfortable, especially when English is not his first language.”
“Both of our children attended Twin Oaks and my youngest has been there for 5 years. My children teachers are wonderful and caring! The kids look forward to going to most of the days (when they're not busy throwing a fit about some random things). Communications from Twin Oaks are excellent and meets my expectations. The center offers plenty of activities and fun lessons, I feel that both of my kids were well prepared for Kindergarten. I would highly recommend Twin Oaks to other families!”
“Our son started here at the age of three. In 5 months he's learned so much! He's writing his name, he knows the continents and the months of the year. They practice tracing and writing regularly. He's constantly singing and he's more helpful at home. He's mentored by the older kids in his class and he's become much more independent. His teachers are great. We are very happy with our school. Would definitely recommend to other parents.”

13050 SW Jenkins Rd, Beaverton“A truly exceptional school! My two sons (one with special needs) thrived here! They are so happy and the teachers are outstanding! My kids have soo much fun with the outdoor structures and various indoor activities and fun. The turnover of staff here is close to zero, which shows you everything about how well the school is run. The owners truly care about their staff and the kids who go here. I can't recommend this place enough! Amazing!”
“Fantastic place. They genuinely care about the children and provided mine with individual care that was needed to succeed. Definitely staying here until elementary. Can higly recommend.”
“My daughter was here kinder-3rd grade, she was very smart, outgoing, and chatty. But the only problem is that all the kids were very snobby. Ever since my daughter went there she started talking back, acting like a valley girl, and being extremely rude to me her father and her siblings. But besides from that, I think the school is great for your child, because the teachers that my daughter had, were smart, and kind.”
7:30AM - 4PM
15645 SW Sexton Mountain Dr, Beaverton“I attended school here many years ago, but I still regularly volunteer or stop by to visit. The staff are really hard working- and like all public education, underpaid. I definitely enjoyed my time here.”
“My experience with Blue Skies and Butterflies has been amazing. I have had a child here for 6 months and my child is happy, safe, and learning a lot! Honestly as a mom, the last thing I wanted to do was go back to work take my child to a daycare after maternity leave, but Blue Skies and Butterflies have made this transition a lot better than I ever thought possible. They truly care for your child and want to know as much about your child as possible so they can keep as much consistency as possible. They got to know my child much faster than I thought possible and got him comfortable there after maybe 5 or do days there.Ashley who runs the daycare has been nothing but sweet, very responsive communication, and so caring to my child. Brittany and Raidyn are the other teachers we see everyday and they are absolutely amazing and sweet to my child and our family. They do the cutest art work we will treasure forever and my child has quickly gained many skills and friends. These ladies create a very calm, happy, fun, and enjoyable experience for the kids and I can't imagine life without them in our lives now (truly can't because our routine and life is in such a good spot now).I have nothing but good things to say about Blue Skies and Butterflies and I feel really blessed to have these ladies and this daycare in our lives!”
“Our children love attending preschool and summer camp at the Learning Tree. The staff are loving and caring, and the activities and curriculum keep everyone engaged. We appreciate you all, Thank You!”
