“Max was so patient and knowledgeable. I don't think we could've gotten a better instructor. This is an incredible experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting town!”
“Fantastic shop where you can view glasswork being created from start to finish. They do a great job explaining the process as they work and sell the beautifully hand crafted items.”

25 Haywood St, Asheville“An amazing selection of local art on display that you could buy, from paintings of Asheville and Nature, to abstract and modern paintings, sculptures and vases to various other crafts, there is something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable ($20-$3000, with most around $50) and we ended up buying 4 art works.
They have two floors and have a great cafe inside as well. Strongly recommend visiting.”

238 Clingman Ave, Asheville“Such an amazing and inspiring experience. You cannot visit this open art studio and not leave without some piece of art in your hand. You also cannot visit here and not leave without the urge to create, inspire and find your own purpose within the art community. Loved walking through here!”
“Only there to check out the river, murals, graffiti, and artwork. It was very peaceful, and the people I encountered were friendly. Would love to go back during the weekend when it's busier to eat and gang out”
“Wonderful folks working here and interesting work. I left feeling inspired and creatively invigorated for the new year. Will definitely be back in to enjoy the book collection.”
“The staff was so kind, they got my artwork of my first landscape taken on film of a lake framed very quickly at a great price! Will definitely be bringing all my future framing needs to them!”
“Trish was absolutely incredible during our private lesson! We had a blast, we learned a ton, and we walked away with 6 handmade pieces we can use for years to come. EXCELLENT couples' activity.”
“We, two sisters on an Asheville adventure, took a mosaic jewelry class at Elemental Art Studios, which is an individual gallery within Foundation Studios. Linda was a very good instructor. The class was small which allowed for one-on-one instruction when needed. Linda gave us the confidence to make our own tiny piece of art. We recommend this class to anyone, whether you are a novice or an experienced artist.”
“I'm madly in love with this place! I already have two of their knomes. The Resident artist or owner actually made one to order for me. I'm coming back for one for my third house. I'm convinced they provide calm karma to their space. Karen Knight”

129 Roberts St, Asheville“A great place to see a variety of artists at work with their pieces for sale. Potters, painters, jewelers, clothiers, glass blowers - all in one block. Much talent here catering to a variety of tastes.”
“Such a great collection of skillfully made woodcraft. This lovely gallery is full of bowls, cutting boards, boxes , jewelry and other woodworks. They will make you pieces if you want to commission something you have always wanted in beautiful wood. Tables, benches, stools or sculpture— they have it.”
“This is such a fun shop to wander through! They have a very large selection of craft items by many different artists. We went in October and they had some fun Halloween themed items including lovely mobiles made from wood that had origami bats hanging off of them- bat mobiles- get it? That made me smile. They were also starting to bring out their Christmas crafts- it would be a great place to shop for Christmas decorations!”

191 Lyman St #310, Asheville“Find this place if you love art. It is nestled in the River Arts District. i came last Christmas and went to
the gallery and was amazed. by the collective arts of several artists in here.
i purchased a two day workshop in encaustic painting for myself and a friend with Bridget Benton.
it was amazing!
The workshop came with all the tools and supplies needed and each workspace was completely set up. Bridget is an experienced artist and instructor. Her handouts were well organized and the materials were top quality.
I enjoyed the small classroom size of 5 students which provided for 1:1 instruction and we could see other students work. Everyone was happy with their work.”
“While I did not have as much time as I would have preferred to spend in shop, I had a very pleasant experience speaking to the young woman who attended to me while I was exploring jewelry here. Overall, I found this gallery shop to have a beautiful assortment of items from local artists--especially jewelry, textiles, and woodworking. I'm sure I will enjoy my moonstone earrings for many years to come. I was hoping to find a pair just like it.”

2 Swan St, Asheville“Life Styled is probably the most up to date sophisticated stylish store in the Biltmore Village shopping area. Owner, Madison was at the boutique dress shoppe when I visited. She's very personable and helpful. The prices to brand ratio are reasonable compared to online or other stores. This store has the latest styles from casual chic to date night. Would recommend if your in the area and need an outfit thats stylish. ⚡️”
“Totally free. They’ve got a great collection of old cars to look at, a shop/gallery of art, a visitors center, and a restaurant (which we didn’t try). Not the most exciting thing I’ve ever done but it was a nice way to kill an hour for free in a pretty neighborhood.”
“UNIQUE is the descriptor that I think best fits Daniel McClendon's art. He starts with a blank wooden "canvas", covers it in black or white, then randomly adds strokes of the opposite color. To see this happen is an experience that is close to unbelievable. Daniel then studies the result and magically uncovers an animal in those random brush strokes... From that point his creativity transforms the canvas, bringing out that animal in the most unique, colorful and unexpected ways. We were instantly fascinated with his work when we passed by his studio, which is itself just an amazing, inviting, comfortable, place to spend some time. Daniel himself is likewise an amazing, inviting, comfortable person... If you are anywhere near Asheville, and have any inkling that you enjoy impressionistic art, colorful abstract art, or just art... Stop by and meet Daniel, he's just a great guy. Ask him about his kids and you will see he's a great dad too. We have a lake house and wanted something that fit into the design of the place, so we waited, watching his creations as he posted them on his web site. Our first painting is an Eagle that happened to show up in several of his videos. We called and said that we would love to have this painting. He delivered it halfway to the lake as he took his kids to a park in Greenville... It now hangs over our fireplace. Our second painting was a Pheasant. We enjoy hunting Pheasant and this painting just resonated with us like the Eagle did. The Peasant is in our bedroom now. Recently we saw a Seagull with a fish below it. When we look out any window in our house we are likely to see a seagull diving for a fish dinner... We found a spot for the Seagull in our dining room, immediately called Daniel to hod it for us. He called when it as dry and we recently drove up to bring it back to its new home. We are huge fans of Daniel, not just because of his UNIQUE art, but also because of his personality. Stop by and see if you agree with me on both counts.”

“Angelique and Shirley are fabulous artists. I had purchaced pottery from Angelique several years ago and thought of her when I needed a new piece. She did not disappoint. Shirley is a painter and had a print that I fell in love with. She offered to have it enlarged and shipped”
“The people were so nice. That artwork was so enjoyable. And they have a wonderful attitude about getting everyone involved, enjoying art, including small children. Wine was delicious too best art gallery I’ve ever been to.”
