“I had a brake piston seize up and the pads ate the rotor. I pulled into Mavis in Stone Ridge and they took me right in. They were so quick that I asked them to inspect the vehicle as preventative maintenance. They showed me several issues that were occurring and gave me their opinion on what should be done and when it should be done. Because I was there and they were on top of their game I had them take care of most of the issues. When I got the car back a few hours later the ride was noticeably improved. I will be going back to them for my inspection and the additional maintenance that they recommended before the winter. I highly recommend Stone Ridge Mavis. Both the manager and the service technician were gentlemen. They treated me like a neighbor that they would see again, and they will!”

“The guys at Mavis are great!!! They really helped us out. My sister a couple weeks ago ran into a curb with my mom’s car and completely tore open the front left tire. They very quickly sent someone out to change the tire and put the donut on. Then we drove to the Mavis in Hyde park and they replaced the two front tires!! The tires actually had way more wear and tear than they were supposed to with the mileage they had. So they called the company for the tires and they replaced our two front tires free of charge!! they were lifesavers because we actually had to drive to Massachusetts that night and since they changed the tires so quickly and efficiently we still made it to Mass that night! And they’re also very kind people there! Jesus was the best!!”

“This post is long over due! Joe and his team are the best. I was having transmission problems and my mechanic had suggested replacement. I found New York Auto Repair while trying to get several quotes on a new transmission before committing. Joe was the only mechanic who asked me to bring it in and see if that was really necessary. Joe took the time to troubleshoot and found the issue was minor and fixed it quickly and saved me from wasting money and time on work not even needed. A year later my engine was making crazy noises and I thought it was blown. Went to a mechanic who was closer to me and he said the engine was gone and I should just sell. I called Joe right away and again he diligently took the time to find a rocker arm had just come loose and again it was fixed fast. Whenever I have a question or concerns about my vehicles I know I can always call. I always feel like a valued customer I think that’s rare these days!! I recommend New York Auto Repair 100%”

“For reference, I needed a full synthetic oil change, tire rotation, and a rattle near the muffler addressed (which turned out to be a loose heat shield). I tried to get into two local dealerships to be told I would have to wait a week and a half or longer with no option for a loaner because my required service didn't bave anything to do with safety or they had no loaners available. I called Tom's and was able to get an appointment for a few days later.It was a great experience. My car was done earlier than anticipated and everything I needed done or had concerns about was completed and addressed for a much lower cost than I was expecting. Great service all around and I'm glad to know there's a local place I can go to get service done right without the run around and in a convenient location that I can walk to work and not need a loaner.”

They are very fair priced and worth bringing your vehicles to whether it's for an oil change, gas fill ups, alignments, tire rotations or even new tires, new rotors/brakes, tuneups, suspension/steering work, any type of electrical issues or even for a NYS Inspection they are the shop to go! They are a very well-connected when it comes to part distribution shops in the area so they can easily access parts for your vehicle usually within 20 minutes of calling it in! They do occasionally accept walk-ins from time to time, but it's always better that you call ahead of time and make an appointment. You will always be guaranteed fast, friendly, courteous service from the crew over there! They also have some of the cheapest fuel prices for 87 octane gas, 91 Premium Octane Non-ethanol gasoline, as well as very fair priced diesel, and grill propane cylinder exchanges in the area! They also offer towing services if you get stranded or get into a crash! They only have 4 lifts but the crew usually pumps out over a dozen cars a day! So give them a call at 845-339-5435 to schedule your next appointment! Or just stop in and talk to Chris Cuff! They are always open Monday-Friday from 8am-12pm 1pm-5pm with a 24hr towing service! You can also stop in and pay your heating oil bill with Brittan Graff!”
