“A little over a month ago, I managed to clip the end of a concrete wall while leaving a parking spot (embarrassing, I know). It was noted pretty quickly it was more than just the plastic over fenders and side skirt, and that filing a claim would be the best route. I’ve never had to file a claim or work with vehicle repair before and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience surrounding it.
I had the pleasure of working with Sean and Troy. Both are easy to work with, great communication throughout the process, took the weight off of my shoulders by working with my insurance and kept me in the loop as much as possible. Upon pick up, the front desk staff were friendly, and engaging and made my start to finish experience a breeze.
While I hope to not have to have the pleasure of returning, in the event I do, I know I’ll be well taken care of with a great outcome. My car looks and feels brand new and I couldn’t be happier.”

“I read the reviews and was hopeful that an auto shop near me could do an oil change on my car for cheaper than dealerships and other auto shops I contacted prior to stumbling upon Century Avenue Service (CAS). I called CAS and the owner (Jon) was polite and let me know what their availability was (I needed an oil change asap). I asked them if they would do the oil change if I provided my own oil and filter - they do! Jon told me the price and I was immediately surprised by how good the price is. It was almost too good to be true, in my honest opinion. Unfortunately for me, I didn't know as much about my car as I thought I did; I bought 4 quarts of oil thinking my car needed only 4, but turns out, my V6 Camry needs 5 qts. And I also bought the wrong filter (the filter I got was for the 4 cylinder Camry). (I do have a 4 cylinder Camry as well, so i thought they would just be the same. ?) So, my bill was a bit higher, but that was because I didn't do my homework on my own car. Jon and his tech were polite about my miscalculation; 1 qt of their oil and the correct oil filter was added to my bill. I was in and out within approx. 45 mins. I took my daughter and they interacted with and were polite to both of us. Oh, I forgot to mention, as I pulled into their lot, I was greeted outside, a few moments after I stepped out of my car - service is top notch. They also have their dogs with them, so there were moments of excitement while my daughter and I waited in the lobby. I highly recommend CAS for your vehicle service needs. The 5 star reviews are here for a reason, folks!”
“Jerry and the team have been taking care of my vehicles for 4 years. My dad was told by a dealership that he needed a $4000 repair on his Traverse. He brought it in to Maplewood Auto Service yesterday and they told him there was a minor leak in a seal. The repair the dealership wanted to do was not necessary and was not even the cause of the leak. Having an honest, trustworthy mechanic is hard to find. This is the place! Thank you Jerry!!!”

“After more than 3 decades of dealing with Merit Chevrolet, we have come to thoroughly trust their advice and service. Recently, our insurance company recommended auto theft repairs be done at another shop whereby it would take more than two weeks just to get in. Instead, Merit Chev auto body offered advice that allowed repairs: 1) to be completed within 24 hours (therefore no rental car required); 2) to cost overall well below our insurance deductible.”

“I called asking the service department about a vehicle that was brought in used on trade in 2014. (The vehicle had a Merit Chevrolet sticker on the back.) I needed information about recalls and past repairs, I provided the VIN# and the service department rep was able to tell me that all 8 fuel injectors were replaced in 2013 and the gauge cluster was replaced in 2005 by Merit. This gave me the confidence to purchase the vehicle. I was very happy with the service department's help provided to some non-customer on the phone they didn't know and weren't obligated to help. In my experience if someone can be trusted in small matters, they can be trusted in big matters as well. I don't live in Maplewood but would deal with them in the future if I need a new Chevy and I tip my hat to them today!”
