“I received the best rate to refinance my vehicle loan from previous 9.5 to 6.29 with this CU after checking rates online and calling various CUs all day. You do have to be a resident of St. Paul to initially qualify. Online application is easy, fast, and the rep (David) I talked to was straightforward and kept things simple. The whole process was seamless and everything was done in 2 days. If you are organized and follow their simple directions, you will have a good experience as I have. Their service is top notch, prompt responses from David to loan officer, Kary Kay was thorough and organized. I definitely would refer anyone to SPFCU.”

The staff is super helpful, the rates are better than you get at commercial banks, and their fee structure is relatively lenient, in case you, say, accidentally forget to transfer money from savings to checking for a big purchase. They're not always at the forefront of online services, but everything else about them makes it worth it to be a little patient.”

“I just want to say that I don’t give enough credit to Jimmy at the Oakdale branch. He goes above and beyond for his customers, he listens and never argues but if the customer is wrong he is firm without being disrespectful. He is the only reason I have stayed with the branch for so long and I hope he gets the credit he deserves. He should be the personal banker he only needs tellers to help him. He has been able to run the branch all this time and knows how to do everything. We really didn’t need someone that thinks he knows everything and will argue with the client without listening. Jimmy is the best and Katie is on her way too if she learns from Jimmy. So far Katie has been very helpful and pleasant, smart because he has learned very quickly.”
