“Today I went to a new mechanic, the owners name is Koko and his company is called Foreign and Domestic Auto Service in Medford. His phone number is 781-391-0808. I had to have my front brakes replaced in my Toyota and the service was organized, quick, and very courteous. Mr. Koko had a smile on his face the whole time I was there which wasn't very long. In my 58 years I have never had such a remarkable experience with an automobile mechanic at such a reasonable price for my repairs. Mr. Koko will now be my go to automobile mechanic and I will use him going always going forward. You should definitely try his work, I guarantee as you won't be disappointed.”

“The service department at Colonial Nissan/Medford, MA is the epitome of how a service depart should perform. I made my appointment ahead of time due to my travel plans to be nearby. I spoke with Laura, my service advisor there, and described the symptoms my Frontier was experiencing and had a date and time to come in within moments. The problem was diagnosed in half the time I was told it could take. I gave the go ahead after Laura told me the cost involved to do the repairs (this was not a simple oil change, this was surgery) and was given the time frame to expect the truck to be back on the road. The mechanic beat that time estimate as well !!If you are a Nissan vehicle owner in this area, you owe it to yourself to call Laura when you need dependable honest folks to work with in regard to your Nissan ride. “Stevo installed a new AC compressor that I'd purchased online in my old '09 Chevy Malibu. The old one was grinding (bearings maybe gone) and a bypass pulley wasn't available: I didn't care about AC working so I didn't want it recharged. They were willing to do what I wanted, which was so appreciated because several other shops were unwilling: they would only install their parts, which were hundreds of dollars more expensive than the one I chose, they wanted to recharge the AC system- basically they wanted to do things their way. The car is old and I don't want to spend money to make it perfect. Stevo got me going with what I wanted, he was a good communicator, and I will definitely take my business to him again in the future. Thank you!”

Unfortunately, they don't work on motorcycles, but they pointed me in the right direction and were very accommodating. They let me park it behind their shop (even offering to park it inside for increased security) while I figured out how to transport it to a motorcycle shop. “I spoke with "OB" (owner) over the phone about the issue in my car. He was clear and transparent about the complexity of the issue and gave me a price range. We arranged a time so that he could take a look and really quote the labour it will take. He was polite and clear of the work that was required. I want to point out that I really liked his jokester personality. I had a lugnut spinning freely and my wheel couldn't be take off. I got quoted from other mechanics that were hesitant to do the work because it would have involved the use of a torch/brute force/drilling the lugnut. OB was enthusiastic about the task and he was able to fix my issue. He was knowledgeable and explained thoroughly the issue and work to fix it. I'm happy and my experience was excellent. The lounge area is very cozy and comfortable, perfect if you wanna wait while the work is completed. I was able to witness his work, and was happy to see he had a lot of specialized tools for the job.”

“These guys (Gino and his wife, Ilsa) are honest and hardworking. They know and recognize me. They do not try to jack up the price by doing more than is necessary, and they always do the job right the first time. The prices are very reasonable and the work is top notch. For example, I have a car that had shuddering brakes for years, that my parents had sold to me. Their mechanics said that it was just because the car was old. I took it to Gino at Alex's Auto Repair and he discovered that the front brakes, on the inner side of the disk brakes, had almost completely worn away. It required a lot of work to get in behind the wheel to see this, which is why the other mechanic missed it. Now the brakes work flawlessly. I have been coming to them for a few years now, after having a friend get screwed by a competitive shop that I had recommended to the friend, and I would never go back. My only fear is that the 5-star review will give Alex's Auto more business, thereby making the wait time for my repairs longer! (Although, right now, they generally get my car back to me within the day if not faster - yet another one of the perks). Could not recommend this shop any more.”
