“I went to Locketts based on these Google reviews and I was not disappointed.

I came in close to opening for a tire rotation, oil change, and filter change. I was out within an hour and a half. I loved that there was no pressuring or upsell - and they were kind enough to tell me something I should look towards fixing at my next oil change so I can be prepared.

What I really liked about this place was that they knew just about everyone coming in the door. I heard "how was your vacation" or "how is your husband doing", etc as people came in and out. You don't see that at really any other auto shop I've been to. You want someone to do good work on your car, which they did, but it tipped it over the edge that I felt like I could come back and be a part of a community with people who care beyond just your money. “I don’t particularly like the practice of inspecting my car for everything that I didn’t bring it in for, because hear me out. I have been charged for this by Previous shops and I feel like they are trying to upsell me when I just want my car fixed.. Jeremy convinced me that they actually do this at no cost and for my benefit. They had to buy extra tools just to diagnose my car, no extra cost to me. The part I needed for one of my repairs were not available locally so they did a work around to keep me going until the part comes in. Every thing that Jones auto care did for me was straight up, pricing was correct and I believe I have found an honest and talented repair shop that cares about treating people right not taking advantage of them.

I regularly take our family’s vehicles to the MIDAS Shop in Ellicott City (MD) for a needed oil/filter change. I do so, because each time I find the need to make an appointment, I’m appreciative and impressed with the professionalism and welcoming demeanor of the management and employees.

A shout out to store manager “Dana,” as well as “Scott,” who took my initial call, scheduled the work, and processed payment. Both are welcoming, courteous, and friendly to their customers, but then so are the remaining employees with whom I’ve interacted while one of our vehicles was being serviced.

In a recent visit, I no sooner left our Lexus SC430 off at the shop, walked to our home nearby, when I received a call from the store manager, saying the vehicle was ready. I find the staff to be honest and dependable. The level of their work is always one of quality, and the work performed is done in a timely manner.

Given the seemingly poor performance of many companies today, it is a unique pleasure to do business with an auto service company that looks out for your vehicle and your best interest, a company that, in my view, has been unfailingly reliable, prompt, and fair.

These are great people, and I highly recommend Ellicott City MIDAS to anyone looking for excellent service, fairness, and efficiency.”

My experience with the staff (Honorable mentions: Stone and Russell) was phenomenal and beyond my expectations. I had a 2015 which required a torque converter... The cost to repair was expensive ( oop even with an ext warranty) ... I chose to invest in another vehicle and I went for a 2020. After the signing with the dealership, I made an appointment immediately with AutoStream to have the 2020 checked. “I've heard a lot about this place from my friends. I'm fairly new to this area and wanted to give this place a try before entrusting all of my vehicles to them. This is just my initial impression and I'll keep updating my comment with each service. I took my Chrysler 300 for oil/filter change, tire rotation which I had mentioned through their online appointment comments section.
They definitely did what I had asked for and made sure the vehicle was returned to me without any visible marks or scratches. They constantly communicated through text prior to my appointment and kept reminding me about it which was great.
On the day of, when I went in for the appointment, based on my past great experiences with other workshops, I had expected them to explain clearly what would be done when I dropped my car with them. The responses came in quite short and I had to literally ask them what they would do. It isn't a big deal, as I'm not there to exchange pleasantries. But, as a customer it would help me feel comfortable with entrusting my vehicle to them. That would be my suggestion moving forward. They were very courteous when I went to pick up the car. Again, I had to ask them what they did even though it may be unnecessary for them to explain. Maybe that's just me trying to be obsessed with clear communication or my involuntary expectation based on their prompt text communication prior to the appointment. One other suggestion would be the speed of service. I've never had to wait almost a whole day just for oil/filter change with tire rotation. I dropped my vehicle around 8am and only heard back around 4pm. Needless to say, these are minor nitpicky concerns.
POSITIVES: They did a thorough inspection of the car and suggested additional items that may need attention soon. I was even sent a link with a picture and description by the mechanic who serviced the vehicle. MUCH APPRECIATED.
Overall, it was a good experience and I feel I could trust my vehicles with Town and Country Auto Repair in Eldersburg. Thank you!”
