“I rarely write reviews, but I had such a positive experience at Anderson Sunoco Gas Station & Auto Repair in Arlington, VA that I had to share. I want to give a huge shout-out to Victor, who went above and beyond to help me with my car. He was not only knowledgeable and efficient but also incredibly honest — which, as many of us know, is not always easy to find in auto repair.
Victor took the time to explain everything clearly, gave me honest advice about what really needed to be done (and what didn’t), and made sure I left feeling confident and taken care of. There was no pressure, no upselling, just genuine help and great service.

“Was in town for 4 days (visiting from Portland Oregon, was staying with a friend 3 blocks away). I had breakfast sandwiches here 3 of the 4 days, and a standard sandwich for the last dinner while in DC. AMAZING food, is all I can say! Plus, such a great little market absolutely packed with grocery goods, many/most of which were locally sourced from small businesses! Really can't wait to come back and have another meal! Also should note that the second time I came back, the woman taking my order (I think maybe the owner?) remembered my name from 2 days before, and welcomed me back warmly! The third time, she didn't even ask for my name, she just automatically typed it in!
Kid-friendliness: Kids would have a blast here, also, I saw kids there every time I walked in.

“I recently went to this location to get a Maryland car inspection. Umar was awesome, the day I went I was the first person to get my vehicle inspected. I failed, due to my passenger and driver side tints. Umar took my tints off, and my vehicle pass inspection. He was very knowledgeable, and efficient. Due to my experience from a car inspection I'll take my vehicle to him for service. Thank you again!!!”

“Had to make a quick dinner decision. No hot wings, baked chickens etc. Justin boxed frozen dinners. No family meals. Single frozen dinners. Accepts EBT but not the Senior Healthy Benefits UCard. The Convenience Store is in an ALL income area. Home owners, renters, and Seniors. Most people are on a fixed income and Seniors could buy more if they had more fresh fruits and veggies and accepted the Senior Benefit Card. The younger home owners have a great selection of wines.”
“Stopped in this afternoon after reading the sandwich reviews. So many shops get subs wrong and they rocked it. Thin sliced turkey, the right amount of mayo, a nice sharp provolone and a soft roll with the right amount of chew. Anytime a liquor store dedicates floor space for a deli you know the sandwiches are gonna be great. This place did not disappoint. I'll be back for sure.”

I live on the other side of Florida Ave NW, but will happily walk the extra blocks to get here!”

“Bolling Commissary is always a clean, well-kept spot that has all your basic grocery needs. I used to shop here regularly when I lived closer because it was quiet, organized, and always stocked.
That said, this review is all about the sushi inside the Commissary—and let me just say, it’s hands down the BEST sushi I’ve ever had. I’ve traveled all over the world, including Japan, and this sushi is truly a hidden gem. It’s always fresh, always delicious, and never disappoints.
My go-to is the chicken teriyaki roll, but I also love the shrimp tempura roll. Honestly, I could eat it every single day. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area—definitely give it a try!”

8 of my friends (9 including me) never got any kind of response when we applied to work here, plus the managers always seemed to mysteriously unavailable to be spoken to.
I've literally called the store, got told to call back the next morning, called the next morning, "Manager on vacation" :/
when will they be back? " X date." Thanks so much.
Called back on X date, "She'll be here tomorrow morning" thanks.
Calls back tomorrow morning, "Hi, not here. Call again tomorrow morning."
At which point I came INTO THE STORE to speak with this elusive hiring manager, just to be told that they were on vacation and won't be back for a while.

So suffice to say, hiring process seems messy, outdated, unreliable, and flat out non-functional at times.
The website needs to be updated, the employees need proper customer service training because regardless of what I'm calling about, and who's answering, it's always in a tone that sounds like I might aswell be interrupting a neurosurgeon mid incision.
The only redeeming quality of this store is what it sells, and I'm not talking standard groceries.
Not only does Shoppers have a decent spread of hispanic foods, ingredients, drinks & snacks, but it's also got some of, if not THE BEST donuts you could buy from a store.
The donut chains like Dunkin or Krispy Kreme got nothing on SFW donuts, they got Croissant donuts (Cronuts), marble iced, Holland Creme (my favorite), jam filled, lemon pudding filled, boston creme, and of course all your standard donut types like powdered, brown sugar, plain and glazed, not to even mention some specialty ones they have on occasion like the apple pie filled brown sugar, or marbled icing cronuts.
Plus they're reasonably priced, which automatically raises the rating for me.

“I stopped in on my way home, I walked from East Falls Church Metro Station down the street (less than 5mins walk), to grab an easy dinner for my wife and I. Not only did I get a great deal by ordering and paying for a pepperoni ? pizza on the 7-11 app (it was only $8??), but I redeemed 2 rewards as well (?️fountain sodas?), and I returned to my home in Reston with dinner for under ??‼️ The guy working tve register was very helpful and got me on my way quickly! Very happy!❤️?”

“I recently moved to The National Harbor temporarily and changed my default store to the Fleet Street location in Oxon Hill, MD. Since the move, I've called the pharmacy on several occasions with questions/issues regarding my current prescriptions due to the move. My initial contact was with Gloria, pharmacy manager (I didn't know her name at the time). I have never worked with a more pleasant individual before at any local CVS pharmacy. Gloria is warm and courteous and her number one goal is customer service. She recommends actions to be taken both by her team as well as me as the customer that would benefit the experience of filling my prescriptions without delay. I have used the callback feature each time and I found it interesting I would always receive the return call from Gloria. So, today when I left a message and the call was returned, her voice sounded familiar and I asked for her name and she explained she is the pharmacy manager. I'm not sure how other locations organize their team, but the Fleet Street location has a winning structure for the team. Gloria takes her job seriously as mentioned earlier to support her customers. She doesn't shy away from issues, but works to resolve concerns. It seems she may be the primary one to monitor the call backs. If she is, it is comforting to have a familiar person to work with that facilitates trust and customer relations.
Kudos to Gloria and the Fleet Street Team!!
This is an update to my previous review. Gloria is the pharmacist at this location and she and her team continue to serve patients with the utmost respect and care. The excellence in knowledge, skill, and professionalism just blows my husband and I away. We temporarily live nearby and we will miss this extraordinary team when we move.”
