“Such genuinely kind and caring people work at this cosy pharmacy. I am so thankful for all the help Danny has provided when it comes to our diabetic cat and insulin. He made it a point to inform me that the Lantus pen is what they use for veterinary prescriptions because it costs $100 versus a $300 bottle. The pen likely will last just as long too since there is way too much in the bottle designed for human usage (it will expire prior to being used by a small cat).He saved me $200 and I cannot thank him enough with all the many pet expenses I have had lately between Penny, the cat, and our guinea pigs. I had no prior experience with managing diabetes of any kind, human or feline, and I really appreciate the time Danny has spent educating me.Thank you very much and Penny thanks you, too!”

“Heard yesterday that there was no amoxicillin to be found for our grand child at CVS in MD/PA. Walkersville pharmacy was able to fill our grandson’s RX. What a blessing.”

“Medone is the perfect hometown Pharmacy Steve has a great personality and always takes the time to say hello. All the front desk cashiers and assistants are also very nice everyone is so pleasant to talk to such a great warm feeling from the moment you enter until you leave. I give them a 10 on a scale from 1 to 5.”

“They are seriously the best pharmacy in Mt. Airy and the surrounding areas!! The pharmacist is so fast efficient and helpful. They always have meds that other pharmacies don't have and if they don't, they'll get them for you and they work with the Doctors offices unlike most that just wait for scripts and do the vare minimum! I'm not using anyone else anymore!”

“Whitesells is the only pharmacy I've ever worked with and so far and things are pretty good what you want when you're to get it I won't send any pictures even if I could I would first want to get their permission to send anything I'm assuming it would be all right but I would want to make sure it would be alright with them.”

“I recently had a complicated prescription situation where my anticonvulsant medication has to be the name brand, because of break through seizures with generic. Unfortunately, I am temporarily unemployed, so my coverage doesn’t cover what it did on my corporate medical plan. The medication is several thousand dollars/month. I worked closely with Kathy (Sp.) and her team at the pharmacy and they went over and above to work with my insurance company to try and lower the cost. A solution was finally uncovered. I would STRONGLY encourage anyone who is looking for a pharmacy to use this one. You won’t be disappointed.”

“I love Harris Teeter. They have the quality and variety of foods at the level of the higher end grocery stores like Wegmans, but the lower prices of your Safeway's and Giant's. I especially like the seafood and meat counter as they have a great selection of really good meat with great cuts and then the fish selection is awesome and really good quality but when the stuff is on sale, it's like the less expensive stores. The deli is another place where they shine. Their store brand deli meats are good, but if you want the better stuff, they carry a large selection of Boar's Head products for a little more money.”

“Yesterday was just one of those days where if it could go wrong it did go wrong. I tried to get a prescription filled at CVS on Ballenger. They didn’t have the medication I needed it didn’t offer me much help. The only CVS that had the medication was in Boyd’s Maryland. They told me to just call a bunch of pharmacies to see if they had it. I called Costco they didn’t have it. I called Walgreens on Crestwood they told me they had it. I had it sent to them and when I got there I was behind one car. At that time it was 1:30 pm. They got this cars prescription I pull up and no one answers. I waited and then saw that they go on break at 1:30-2:00pm. At this point I was frustrated I wish they would have atleast just said we are going on break we will be back at 2. I go home because I have my newborn with me. I get a text message from Walgreens saying my prescription is delayed because they don’t have the medication…. The medication that I specifically called about and they said they had! Finally I remember seeing people in this group talk so highly about Urbana Pharmacy. I decided to give them a call. They had the medication and told me they would get it ready as soon as they could. Around 5:30 it was available and I wanted to pick it up but wasn’t sure if I would make it in time before they closed. They told me they would stay open until I got there as the medication is important to start. Thankfully I got there 10 minutes before they closed. They were so kind. They let me vent about my bad day and really took care of me. They made me feel like I was a regular even though it was the first time I been there. Other customers were so kind and we were all just chatting it up together. The environment was just so calming and nice.I HIGHLY suggest using Urbana Pharmacy! Moving forward I plan to use Urbana Pharmacy for my entire family. No more big chains for us!”

“Giving this a 5 star review for two reasons. First, the attendants here are always friendly and able to help if you're having trouble with you pump. Second, you can now use the Sam's club app to pay for gas. No longer need to always have your membership card with you. To pay in the app you click more, then select Fuel. This will allow you to scan the QR code on the gas pump and pay with whatever card is linked to your Sam's Club app. If you don't want to pay with the card on file you can of course opt out and scan a different credit card at the pump.If you're like me and hate carrying around tons of different credit and membership cards, try the app, it makes fueling up at the club way easier!”

“I like shopping here. Good stuff, great produce, and a nice clean store.Con? The self-check out scanned items table is very small. Either limit the self-check out to 5 items or let me put scanned items in my basket.”

“I’ve been using this pharmacy for a couple of years now, and Jen, Kiran, Tara, and the rest of the pharmacy staff have always been amazing, helpful, and accommodating. I cannot say enough great things about them or the pharmacy itself.”

“Always a pleasure to interact with the staff at this pharmacy. Although I’m sure they are often overwhelmed with work to be done they are always able to provide a personal touch to each visit or phone call. They are always looking to provide better service for me and suggesting ways to improve my pharmaceutical requirements.”

“This review is more about a person than the store. A BIG shoutout to Ronnicia. She brought out my curbside pick up and when I questioned the quality of the bagged salad she happily asked if I would like her to exchange it. I know she had to go to the back of the store to retrieve a new bag ( which looked totally fresh) and I asked for her name because she went above and beyond in my opinion and did it all with a beautiful smile. Thanks Ronnicia I appreciate you!”

“Great shopping experience today. I needed apple cider and found it quickly. Picked up some cotton candy for a movie party (and it's so hard to find this at a reasonable price.) The selection of clothes was great, too! Using the app to check out as you go is a great feature that I love!!”

“This pharmacist is so friendly and helpful. We were stuck in terrible traffic and came very late, she processed our paperwork quickly and answered my elderly parents questions regarding covid vaccines. I didn't know weis before but now I will come often! Thank you!!”

“I've been shopping here since birth and I have some great memories of going here with my friends and family. The selection of items is incredible for a smaller grocery store and always fresh. The staff at the pharmacy, deli, and fish counter are also very friendly and helpful. The checkout experience post-covid though is a genuine hindrance. I honestly do not know how many customers want to check out and bag an entire load of groceries, especially in a store that serves a community of busy families with young children or elderly adults living alone. I think its great that weis is still hiring local teenagers to work around the store, but now they just stand next to the 15 or so self-checkout machines and fix them when necessary. Weis's new hours are also less convenient, I remember when it was open 24 hours. I definitely will keep shopping here but the changes made over the past 4 years do not serve its loyal shoppers”

“I make it a point stop in to store. From ease of pharmacy, fresh produce/vegetables, and shelves throughout are stocked and good selection. Also, staff friendly and approachable!!”

“I've used many pharmacy's before. It's common sense that pharmacy's are busy, most times understaffed and over worked. Yes, there have been lines at times when I pick my medicine up and sometimes no line, it's a pharmacy so I know to expect one or the other. I've never waited too terribly long and the staff is always friendly and on point. Seems like the other complaints on here are from people expecting no line and immediate service, good luck trying to find that with a pharmacy! Costco pharmacy is the best I've experienced hands down.”

“After dealing with CVS in Taneytown, and being treated like a person waiting at the DMV, i decided to try other pharmacies. I started with Safeway in Walkersville, because GoodRx said they had my medication for the cheapest. After calling the pharmacy, and speaking with a super kind Pharmacist, they affirmed that they had the medication, and a pharmacy technician searched to find me a coupon to apply so I could get the medication cheaper. CVS was $148.00 Safeway Pharmacy, $15.00. Yep, you heard right. Very nice folks, went out of there way to help reduce the already stupid US cost of my medication. I have put my RX on auto refill, and will continue with them. SEE YA! CVS!!!!”

“When I went into Weis I was looking for something quick and easy to make for my sister to snack on after a flight. I asked an employee, Sharon , if Weis had gluten free pastry dough or gf croissants. She may have been the nicest employee I’ve ever come across in a Weis. In any grocery store for that matter. She took time to to go look with me. Spoke to the frozen food guy. Walked me to the gf section and asked the grocery manager. Unfortunately day didn’t have it. But in all honesty at that point I don’t really care because she really took the time to help me look for something that I needed. She didn’t come across like I was a bother or it was too much to help me. I really want to thank her for being so kind and so nice. I wish there was more employees like Sharon.”

“CARLA at the Giant on Kingfisher Drive is amazing. Always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Even when I call she recognizes my voice and she just makes my day. Stephenie the manager did an excellent job training her. We need more like Stephanie and Carla!”

“Always running out of items I like but I assume that’s due to the disruptions in deliveries these days. Love the thick ham steaks on the bottom cooler shelf but it’s sporadic in availability, the smaller cuts on the upper cooler shelves are not the same.”

“Amazing Pharmacy. I can’t say enough. First the staff greets you immediately as you walk through the door so kind. Secondly, the knowledge the pharmacist and her staff have is great. Thirdly, I take a lot of medication and I have never had to go without any of my medicine. I will never go anywhere else. I could continue going on and on. Love this place.”

“This pharmacy is probably one of the best pharmacies that you can find. The pharmacist there really cares about all of the customers. I have never seen someone go above and beyond for people as much as he does. My family and I have been going there for years and we have never run into a problem. They will always do what they can to assist. If you are looking to find a pharmacy where you are a person and not a number. This is it”

“I have been aggravated with how some of my medications are being handled. It is making my life more difficult to track my refills. On my plan I can get my 90 day refill up to two weeks before the actual refill date. For some reason some of my medications I have found that the prescription is labeled "Your pharmacy team has scheduled this prescription to be refilled on this date according to your plan. " With the two week window I can work them around so I can pick them up at the same time. But with the pharmacy controlling it, I can't do this. I also see it as the pharmacy getting around those who are not using automatic refill on there medications. Also, when a prescription is fill, I don't get a call, letting me know it is ready for pickup.Dissatisfied Customer,John Boley”
