“This is a very good independent grocery store! I'm a regular Mom's Organic Market shopper. This store is better in some ways such as wider selection of products. I believe Mom's produce might be a bit more extensive based on my search for organic ginger roots. I didn't find any at Common Market. However 4.5 stars would be my more accurate rating. I'm delighted that enough people got together to form a co-op. I will make it a point to return when I'm back in Frederick.”

“This is a small Military Store used by Soldiers and Federal workers. It is a place where the Troops can pick up beverages of all kinds, accouterments for their uniforms, health and beauty products, etc. The staff are always friendly and helpful. It's worth 5 stars, but falls short because of size.”

“This review is long overdue!This tea store is exceptional! Located in beautiful downtown Frederick, the people here are incredibly friendly and beyond knowledgeable. Voila is the best tea store anywhere remotely around. I drive 45 minutes up here from Leesburg where I have 2 other tea stores near me where neither come close to the taste and quality of their teas.Tea on the Beach is my absolute favorite whether it’s iced or cold! You won’t regret stopping!”

“This is a great place to get the harder to find eastern hemisphere produce like exotic fruits and very specific pastries. I'm not a huge fan of the food court area, but the offerings are decent. The smell of fish hits in you in the face the moment you walk in. I don't find it very pleasant personally, but if you're anticipating that odor, it is not as jarring.”

“EDIT: I recently went back to the store after learning there was a change in management and had a great experience. The owner is kind and the staff is good. The prices aren't bad either. I'm happy with this experience.Previous review from 4 years ago before new management:Although the meats are good, we’ve always had bad experiences here. Sometimes the guy at the register gets noisy and looks at my balance in my card and comments on it. That gets on my nerves a lot. but today i’ve decided to never shop here again. i’ll look for another halal store because some of the staff members are petty.”

“A great commissary, not as large as some, but better run than others I've been to. Staff is great: friendly, competent, and helpful. Meat section is particularly good, fresh produce is "hit or miss," so look at what you buy. My only real issue is that the store brand, "Freedom's Choice" is uniformly mediocre...but that's probably a DECA issue, and not this particular store. Otherwise, this store is a reliably great experience.”

“If you've seen my latest check-ins and reviews, you know two things:1. I'm visiting Frederick, Maryland (where I lived from 1993-1998).2. I've been in the gym every day this month (October), sans Sundays.That being said......Weis was always my pit stop on the way to work for one thing: DONUUUUUUUUUTS!!!!I really don't have much to say about the store as a grocery store because it's pretty much what you would expect.But those DONUUUUUUUUTS!!! Lord save me...These are the best donuts I've ever had at a grocery store.Which is why I brought up Point #2. It's the last place I should be if I'm trying to lose weight. Hey, don't judge me. Mind your own bathroom scale.The assortment is great and they are ridiculously flavorful. Soft. Flaky. Huge.I could eat them all day! Which is why I'm going to be in that gym every day in November.Go to Weis, preferrably in the morning.Why?DONUUUUUUUUTS!!Enough said, I have another one to eat...”

“Great, large store. Has a huge variety of quality items. Wegmans store brand is also great quality. It's a very busy store and parking area, but have never had to wait for parking. This store tends to be a little overpriced compared to other stores, but there are a few things I only buy at Wegmans that I can't find comparably elsewhere. The inside of the store is sometimes very busy, but they do a pretty good job of keeping things in stock and having enough registers open. They are friendly and helpful.”

“Great service. I called because I needed green plantains and I often go to supermarkets and they might have plantains, but they can be ripe, or semi. The store is very clean, and it is very well lit. The butcher shop is well run, and the butcher is very energetic. You will enjoy his music! I also asked for a recommendation for a restaurant —because I am not from this area —and the the cashiers were very helpful”

“The store is nice but when you are shopping and someone is following you through out the store as if they think you are stealing makes you want to spend your money elsewhere. Not sure if tha man following us around the store works there or not. But may just have to find another store to shop after today. But I will say the cashier was great and we did spend almost $200 with the grandkids coming you do have to grab some snacks along with some other things but she checked us out quickly.”

“Love this store in the still-operating apple processing factory. It's great for gifts. They package nice selections of their jams and other products together in a basket or tin bowls, etc. The store is just fun to poke through and to get apples and cider in season.”
