“Large and spacious hardware store in the old school sense. The staff is knowledgeable like Fragers of yore without the crowded piled aisles.The rooftop garden is a work in progress, but the space should prove incredible before long.Nice tool selection, garden section is adequate but slightly slim on choices, the upstairs has a little bit of everything else.”

“This place has great flowers in the spring time and yummy donuts - but donuts increased about $3 for a dozen since November (now $12.50) and flowers also are about 2x the price of what they used to be. I won't be going as often anymore, but will still pay a visit to get my donut fix!”

“Highly recommended! Gardenology completely transformed our backyard garden that lacked a theme and had been overtaken by weeds and invasive plants. They approached the project with a clear vision but were also open to dialogue and refinement. They were able to move certain plants to better locations to save us some money and worked seamlessly with a hardscape contractor on site at the same time. Excellent horticultural knowledge and attention to detail; responsive customer service; and reasonable prices.”

“This place rocks. We went here after a huge fail at a nearby store. Upon entering Frager's, we were greeted by a nice employee who gave us perfect directions to exactly where we needed to go. Pretty good selection of planters and pots here, too. Far better prices than some of the other good stores like American Plant (another good store, but located on the outer reaches of the solar system in Bethesda)Definitely go here and not the new, trendy store at Eastern Market.”

He helped us load half a pallet of paving stones onto a pallet and then load them into our truck. When he asked others (including management) to help - they said no. Would not even help with a forklift assist. So just want to say a huge thanks to Dan! We appreciated how you went the extra mile.”

“I went to pick up an anti-fatigue kitchen mat. The app said it was in a certain aisle. I looked and looked. Finally I asked an associate for help. He looked and found some but not the one I wanted. The app said that they had three in stock. So the associate said that some may be up high and he looked and he was able to find one for us. So I give an A+ to Dylan. But a D for the app.”

He gave me so much valuable information and still got my estimate completed without measurements. He was able to probe me so well that I'm thinking the estimate will be veRy close to what it will actually be. I can't wait to continue working with him to get this project completed.”

“The bouquet was delivered on time to my work. It was sent by my husband as a surprise. It was a very nice surprise. The flowers were beautiful and the vase was beautiful as well. My husband said that the flowers were a little bit smaller than he expected, because he paid for a “deluxe” bouquet. But I loved them. I was happy to receive them for that special day!The flowers also last long time. I think that it’s an important matter too. It’s today and they are still looking good. I received them almost two weeks ago.I do recommend this place.Thank you for reading.”

“Ok. I barely use Yelp anymore. But I had to share a great customer service experience at this Home Depot that I had recently. I had a slightly unreasonable request I should mention. Yet, Aleshia at the customer service desk went above and beyond to help me get the item that I needed that was not in store. It took about a few days for it to be said and done, but she helped greatly and even when I came in for an unrelated project, she still remembered me and followed up from the order before. Her and Shaquanda are outstanding providers of customer service and I wanted them to be recognized. Working in retail (and any other service industry) is hard but its great to see people who still have spirit in them. I will continue to shop at Home Depot for my projects.”

“I was really impressed by the friendly, helpful team the last couple of times I've visited this store. The cashiers overseeing the self checkout are amazing. Today I went to purchase paint for a project. The young lady overseeing self checkout saw what I was purchasing and realized the two kinds would not work well together. She got coverage for her post and took me back to the paint section and personally showed me what I needed. She used to work in the paint department, and was very knowledgeable. She handed me off to a very helpful colleague in that department who was also very friendly and super helpful. I feel terrible for not noting their names, but, management: if you award staff for recognition on sites like this you should be able to figure it out pretty easily. I visited at 12pm on Sunday March 24. The young lady overseeing self checkout who was so helpful was probably in her mid 20s, with long braids, entwined with gold color. She was on duty at the self checkout with a small young man with short hair. The helpful colleague she passed me on to in the paint department was about the same age, also black, with short braids. He was the only guy in the paint department with that hairstyle and that big of a friendly smile. They were both awesome.”

I went in feeling very trepidatious about refinishing my deck and fence and left feeling confident in my skills, tools and materials and just...happy? The vibe in the store is that the staff genuinely like each other and being at work/helping people. I felt safe asking stupid questions and gained a lot of knowledge. Like, seriously blown away by the staff. The store was also super clean and organized. Just an easy and nice experience!”
