“We needed a truck and all the ones from the Home Depot on Cherry Hill Road were already in use but there was one left here. Call ahead and they'll hold it for 10 minutes. We went on a Saturday, so long lines and understaffed counters is the norm at many HDs. Their selection of garden essentials is much more limited than the Cherry Hill and Aspen Hill ones, so try those locations first. The parking lot here at least is a lot less frantic as the other two huge ones mentioned above.”

“Now under new ownership as Del Ray Hardware, there is slightly more room inside and it's a little easier to find what you are looking for. Staff are very friendly and eager to help and/or strike a conversation. Love that it was able to remain in the neighborhood. And that they are very dog friendly - we picked up a bag of pet safe ice melt and Penny utilizes the water bowl out front frequently. Plus, they have treats inside for any doggos who go shopping.”

“Ronneisha at the Washington DC Lowe's was super helpful. Greeted me when I walked in and asked if I needed help, which I did! The pavement salt I was looking for was hard to find and she pointed it out. Also helped me check out faster. She also asked me if I found what I needed when I passed by. Usually Lowe's associates are not to be found or not very helpful but Ronneisha was a breath of fresh air!”

“In a spur of the moment visit to Alexandria, found this quaint little shop that turned out to be nice surprise. Bruce was in the store and helped us find the perfect fabric for our special chair. We’ve been looking for the prefect fabric to match the elegance and design of the chair but couldn’t find the perfect one, until we found Bruce. Here it is…all done and ready for no one to sit in it ?. Thanks for the help and professional recommendation on design…it’s beyond perfect now!”

“I went to pick up an anti-fatigue kitchen mat. The app said it was in a certain aisle. I looked and looked. Finally I asked an associate for help. He looked and found some but not the one I wanted. The app said that they had three in stock. So the associate said that some may be up high and he looked and he was able to find one for us. So I give an A+ to Dylan. But a D for the app.”

“I had an appointment with an associate about kitchen countertops. I was greeted by David and he was ready for me at my appointment time. He was a great spirited employee that was so knowledgeable. He gave me so much valuable information and still got my estimate completed without measurements. He was able to probe me so well that I'm thinking the estimate will be veRy close to what it will actually be. I can't wait to continue working with him to get this project completed.”

“Ok. I barely use Yelp anymore. But I had to share a great customer service experience at this Home Depot that I had recently. I had a slightly unreasonable request I should mention. Yet, Aleshia at the customer service desk went above and beyond to help me get the item that I needed that was not in store. It took about a few days for it to be said and done, but she helped greatly and even when I came in for an unrelated project, she still remembered me and followed up from the order before. Her and Shaquanda are outstanding providers of customer service and I wanted them to be recognized. Working in retail (and any other service industry) is hard but its great to see people who still have spirit in them. I will continue to shop at Home Depot for my projects.”

“I was really impressed by the friendly, helpful team the last couple of times I've visited this store. The cashiers overseeing the self checkout are amazing. Today I went to purchase paint for a project. The young lady overseeing self checkout saw what I was purchasing and realized the two kinds would not work well together. She got coverage for her post and took me back to the paint section and personally showed me what I needed. She used to work in the paint department, and was very knowledgeable. She handed me off to a very helpful colleague in that department who was also very friendly and super helpful. I feel terrible for not noting their names, but, management: if you award staff for recognition on sites like this you should be able to figure it out pretty easily. I visited at 12pm on Sunday March 24. The young lady overseeing self checkout who was so helpful was probably in her mid 20s, with long braids, entwined with gold color. She was on duty at the self checkout with a small young man with short hair. The helpful colleague she passed me on to in the paint department was about the same age, also black, with short braids. He was the only guy in the paint department with that hairstyle and that big of a friendly smile. They were both awesome.”

He explained all of the options to me, showed me products that may be relevant, and then went the extra mile and answered every single one of my questions. Ed made me feel like I was a valued member of the Home Depot community, and that made an enormous difference to me during my shopping experience. Can't wait to return and shop here again!”

“I have to give Douglas a HUGE shout out. I came in completely confused how to fix my oven door hinge and he showed me all the tools I needed, how to use them, and even got me started with the repair. He was beyond helpful and even showed me how to avoid the problem in the future by demoing on one of the models in the appliance section.Every time I come to this store I've found the customer service to be so helpful. I can't imagine going anywhere else for my home repair needs. Thanks again Douglas!”
