“The staff were incredibly friendly and so gentle with my cat. My cat is very flighty and anxious and the staff did so well with keeping her in place without forcing her. I took my cat in to get vaccines and the doctor was great, he was so gentle with her that my cat didn’t even react when given the shot. They followed up with me the next day to make sure she was doing well and not experiencing any complications. Highly recommend!”

“Always very professional and nice staffing. My cat Wally, had an abcess that healed and then returned. They explained everything in detail and sent pain meds and the cone of shame, which he wore for a few weeks.
On another occasion I had to euthanize my dog, Pocahontas, and had a quiet room for us. We stayed for awhile and said goodbye and were never disturbed.”
“Winchester Pet Care has been absolutely amazing for our pets! They have always been able to get our pets in quickly when needed. My dog has had an addisonian crisis twice. First time we had no idea he had addisons disease so they found out quickly and treated him. Same thing with second time and since it’s so specialized, the Dr. would reach out to professionals as needed and would always speak to me directly on the phone. Front staff has always been amazing! They truly listen to me and have always respected my views on health for my pets!”

“Amazing Rescue! When my 96 year old Mom's Dog passed away, I suggested maybe adopting a Cat to keep her company if/when she was ready. Once she gave me the green light, I contacted Melody with Pet Connection and told her what I was looking for...an older, low key and very affectionate Cat, to also give a loving home. I flew back to K.C. for a meet/greet, and when Mom met Melody's pick, Layla, it was love at first sight for both of them! Layla was 12 and an awesome cat! They were inseparable best buddies until my Mom passed at 101. “I recently decided to start using Country Hill AC after having a good experience here with my partner's dog, and noticing how affordable the care is. This morning, a health scare popped up for my dogs, and they made us our first appointment for just a few hours later. Everyone we interacted with was so nice and helpful, and aware of each of my dogs' individual needs.
One of my boys can be nervous and is sometimes very mistrusting of new people. But one thing he loves more than anything is to play tug-of-war, so I always bring a rope toy wherever we go, as it really helps him manage stress. Dr. Amber Andrews actually got on the floor and played tug with him! It was so sweet and it showed my dog that she was his friend. He totally trusted her & the team after that. I have NEVER seen him as comfortable in a vet environment as he was today.
Overall we had a great experience. I had all my questions answered and was given a clear, easy treatment plan. Did not break the bank, and I felt extremely comfortable with the team handling my beloved dogs. Will definitely continue coming here, and I have already recommended Country Hill AC to friends.”

“We brought our 20 yr old cat in to have him checked out. The vet told us he was quite ill and in kidney failure and should have him put down. We made arrangements the next day to bring him in to be euthanized. The staff was helpful and supportive. They had a room prepared for us and allowed us to stay with our kitty as long as we wanted after the procedure. They have a pawprint memorial to send us, which we are looking forward to since this was a cherished pet for our family. I would highly recommend Southside.”

Dr. Keil spent a long time speaking with us about his corneal ulcer and prepared a huge write up on-the-spot to help us understand every detail. “Everyone here is SUPER kind and professional. Wrex has a grapefruit+ sized tumor on his hip that is necrotic & has broken through the skin. And smells horrible. This is the 3rd vet to look at the tumor. Even though they weren't comfortable removing it, they referred us to K State very promptly. They also cleaned it, took an aspiration for a superficial check on the contents, x-rayed him to make sure it had not metastasized. They gave us important information that helped us decide to keep working to save our dog.”
“We've been taking our pup to Dr. Gilmore at Mill Creek since we acquired him 3 years ago when he was 5 months old. You couldn't ask for a more concerned, attentive, thorough, and warm person than Dr. Gilmore. He never rushes you, explains things totally in laymen's language, and remembers personal details about the pet even before consulting the chart. Our pet suffers with anxiety and yet Dr. Gilmore patiently and gently soothes his nerves so that he's calm during treatment. The practice has accessible hours and prices are reasonable. There's no effort to push unneeded or extraneous products or services. The office staff, technicians and other vets are similarly friendly and professional. On occasion during Dr. Gilmore's absence, we have used two of the other vets in the practice. They exhibited the same kind, warm, and skillful behaviors. All and all this is an exceptional practice, which is conveniently located with good street and highway access.
Noah and Dr. Gibbs were very timely, friendly, knowledgeable, and proficient.”

“I don’t write reviews very often but I felt I wanted to because they took such great care of our sweet boy. My husband and I just got back from a 17 day vacation and we needed to board our cat because he needs medicine twice a day and someone to watch over him because of his heart condition. We have never had him stay at an overnight clinic and we’re very nervous (I cried when we dropped him off). They were so reassuring and sent picture and text updates about our scared little guy. You could tell they really cared about him during his stay. Will definitely use them if needed in the future❤️”

Our basset hound puppy, Gouda, saw Dr. Hodge, who was wonderful and took the time to explain everything clearly. Liberty assisted during the visit and was amazing with Gouda, making him feel comfortable and at ease. You can truly tell this team cares about their patients and their people.
We have another visit scheduled in three weeks for Gouda’s next vaccine and puppy wellness check, and we feel very confident continuing his care here. Highly recommend!”
