“I went to Halberstadt’s for my first suit years ago and i’ve had a great experience every time I walk into this store. From business casual to full on suits, Clayton and his crew always get me taken care of. There’s been times where I needed a quick turn around on tailoring and they always make it happen. Not to mention their prices are competitive with places in the area. Whether it’s your first time buying a suit or you wear a suit everyday of the week, this is the place to go. The customer service here is outstanding and that’s hard to find nowadays.”

“We arrived and were promptly met by store staff. My son is 24 and 6’5” and largely only shops at DXL. The gentleman who helped him was courteous and was able to help my son while I was able to relax in a comfortable chair. Being the mom, I didn’t have much input but was able to hear the back and forth between my son and the store staff member. Unfortunately I don’t know his name but I can say he was phenomenal. Best $644 we have spent in a long time. (6 outfits for new job). High quality clothes for my gentle giant.Thanks so much to the staff at the West Des Moines Iowa store!”

“Spencer's was so cool when I was a teenager in the 90's. Can't say that I've been too much as of late. But going there recently was nice they still have so much one off stuff you can't find anywhere else and the 90's are still very much alive in that store. But with a mix of today's styles as well. If you haven't been in awhile and your teenage years were some time ago then I suggest you go and take a trip down memory lane.”

“5 stars just for being the first J Crew in Iowa. I have shopped here frequently, returned catalog purchases, ordered from their 'we will find it' telephone line. Basically I love it. Some of my favorite purchases were a beautiful pair of espadrilles a few years back for my birthday and most recently this dusk pink Parisian inspired jacket...they even got me in their toothpick jeans here and I love them. I will be seeing you soon!”

“There is a woman who works in this store that deserves all the glory for that store. I visited the store before Christmas and in chatting with her it became clear she was the sole person running the store that day. She helped me with a friendly attitude and no complaints and even got me a better deal than online. Cut to a few weeks later I needed to exchange some shoes that I lost the receipt for during my holiday wrapping, same woman helped me and same great attitude. There was a male working as well with long hair that was helpful too. It’s clear the store could use some more help though to make the lives of the current employees a little better.”
