“Amenity-forward, dog friendly hotel conveniently located near the highway. Area seems to be newer buildings, and the hotel seems to be part of that trend. Staff was nice enough when I interacted with them, though seemed inconvenienced by me wanting a physical key in addition to the mobile. Lobby area is beautiful, big and bright, so good first impression walking in.The not made-to-order breakfast items and coffee were room temp if not cold. Kind of disappointing, since the cooked item wasn't something I wanted on this particular morning.The room was spacious and new feeling. Shower seems to have been an afterthought from such a nice room design. Hope it isn't windy when you're staying, because while it's nice to have an opening window they aren't sealed properly and you'll have a whistling noise all night. On a cold night and morning, this also made it colder than the heater could keep up with. I'm also not sure why, but there was a smell of cat pee randomly in the bathroom and by the bed I didn't use (thank goodness).I booked a king room and ended up in a double queen. Not too big of a deal since I'm driving from Texas to Chicago and just wanted a good sleep and to do my work before my final leg, but if I were staying more than a night I would have said something since I specifically chose that bigger bed via direct booking in my Bonvoy app. I probably would stay again if just passing through, but not an extended stay of any kind especially if windy.”

“Freshly remodeled, clean rooms and friendly staff. Good location. The GM Conner is always the best, always there to take care of his guests.

Rooms: The rooms are newly renovated. So it is bright and fresh and has that new smell still.

Nearby activities: Close to I35 and I80. Just located off Jordan Creek. Which has many things to do or places to eat.

Safety: I do stay for extended time periods over the whole summer. I've felt uncomfortable with the other guests or the area.

Food & drinks: Included social hour M,T, and Wednesday evening. Which Includes a snack or a meal and some tasty beverages.”

“Our baseball team stayed at the Marriott West Des Moines this past weekend, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The front desk staff—especially the manager—were incredibly attentive and welcoming, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The hotel itself was very clean, and housekeeping did a great job throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to accommodate our group’s needs, and we truly appreciated the hospitality. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other teams or travelers in the area!”

“Nice place. Clean. It does need some additional maintenance. Such as the bathtub faucet drips all of the time in my room, and there was no way to turn the heat on in the room. The thermostat set the minimum temp for the air-conditioned. It was in the 50s outside, and just as cold in the room - brrrr. Great staff and a convenient location.”

“Good place, and very clean! For the price, I expected half as nice. But I got a comfy bed, decent kitchen, and great bathroom too! Everything seems quite new, and they’re friendly.

Edit: There’s a dishwasher, people. Who TF is giving only three stars to a place that’s clean, right next to the interstate, AND has a dishwasher?”

“We arrived later in the evening, and the front desk person checked us in quickly. Our room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable, and water pressure in the shower was strong. The only con was the dust on exhaust fan in the bathroom. Housekeeping forgot to clean it. We slept like babies!!! I recommend staying here.”
