“Grate place to stay if in town. Staff is very friendly and helpful.In a great location to get to anything you want to do.The only things I think need work are smart tvs in the rooms, and the hot tub needs to have some work done on it.”

“-19 degrees, several feet of snow, 2am, no taxi/iber/lyft available, walked 20 minutes in life threatening conditions to get there. Girl at desk refused to rent a room to me because only 20.5 years old. “Need to be 21”. Thanks for zero empathy. Stay anywhere else. I had to.”

“The Cozy Rest Motel is on a very busy roadway, but don't let the noise deter you! Once the air conditioner is pumping out a delightfully cool breeze, the traffic will melt into the background ? A mini fridge would have been a nice addition, but there were plenty of service stations nearby to keep our cooler filled with ice.Nearby activities: We stayed here to attend the National Balloon Classic in nearby Indianola; it was an approximately 20-25 minute commute.Walkability: There are quite a few restaurants within a mile, but it isn't really close to any activities.”

“Great location with walkability to restaurants and bars plus a nice trail around the river. Beautiful view from the room if you're on the East side. It's a bit dated but very clean. The front desk staff were nice.”

“Check in was speedy and quick . Parking was up close. Griffin was very helpful. Shuttle driver Bill and Scott were very helpful, friendly and made sure our visit was pleasant. Hotel is clean, housekeeping was helpful as well. Location is in the Downtown area and the shuttle was available to take us to the fair, and farmer's market. I love the Holiday Inn and will definitely stay with this franchise. The pool and hot tub looked refreshing but I didn't get a chance to soak. Breakfast was nice and hot. Check out was speedy as well. Thank you for a pleasant time .”

“My husband and I just needed a place to sleep last night before flying out this morning. We booked this hotel because it was under $100 but still looked decent. I was very pleasantly surprised. The girl checking us in was very friendly, the room/bathroom was exceptionally clean, and the bed super comfortable! I would definitely stay here again.”

“When I first arrived here the lobby smelled and I was really thinking twice about it but once I got to my room opened the windows and turned on the ceiling fan and cleaned the room real good and checked the mattress for bed bugs which there was none it is really a good place to stay just mind your own business and pay your rent and you will be good prices for everything is really a good deal it’s a cozy little place to stay I would recommend this place it just needs a little TLC”

“Overall our room was clean and smelled just fine. Hallways smelt a little smokey but nothing terrible. The front desk clerk was friendly when we checked in and out. Breakfast was simple but yummy. The only complaint that we have is that the pool was too moldy and musty to swim in. They seriously need to get some ventilation in there it is a major health hazard. We noticed there was no ventilation in the bathroom as well.”

Mia and Michael always go above and beyond, to ensure I have a great experience every time.I highly suggest Baymont North for business travelers. I stay there multiple times a week during my busy season, and Mia is always friendly and a true pro. Michael has gone beyond his normal duties, and saved my bacon at least a few times, getting in late from work, and finding that he had the foresight you save a room for me, as the place filled to capacity. He kept me from sleeping in a truck stop parking lot.Try this place out, and you'll be in the very capable hands of Michael and Mia.”

“Perfect for parking if you’re traveling for a vacation or long periods of time. I purchased groupon for parking at a very reasonable price, twice less I would have spent on uber. Checking in was a breeze; went to a front desk and filled out departure and arrival times, parked my car in the back as they asked-to save time, park in the back (east side of the building ahead of time).they loaded us up quickly to the shuttle and took to the airport. The whole checkin until getting to airport, took about 10-15 minutes. Upon return, I called the hotel (look up on google as I was lazy searching through my email receipt). Guy that picked up the phone asked if i had already gotten my checked-in luggage, which I did. He showed up in about 5-7 minutes. Done.Nearby activities: A few restaurants and stores nearby.Walkability: Walk to airport if needed”

“Ok this was really pretty nice is it prefect no but we had a blast rooms were clean and big free (we looked due to some of the reviews) the slides are all working . There also plenty of lifeguards and they were working so it made it very safe. They currently have free breakfast which was a bonus ? and honestly super fluffy pancakes my kids cleaned their plates. The staff they have working are super helpful and attentive. The cons are needed some paint and upkeep but overall pretty good. Hot tub didn't have any bubbles but was nice and warm.Rooms: Clean with fridge and mirco wave and room to put a back and play in it.Safety: Lock on windows and doors,lots lifeguards at pool.Food & drinks: On-site bar and resteraunt with reasonable prices. Though food is on the greasy side.”

“Travel to this particular location is challenging. The county planners and law enforcement must have decided to make access in and out of this area challenging because it certainly is. The staff are professional and informative for different accommodations needed by guests. I was visiting a friend to drop off needed items. That friend spoke well of the staff.”

“Our room was so nice and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. The romance package was such a fun touch too! The staff was very helpful and friendly, and this hotel is very close to so many other fun things in Des Moines. I would definitely recommend it! The breakfast was DELICIOUS!
