“The apartment manager, Cindi, is one-of-a-kind! The entire complex is in tip top shape because of her leadership and, quite frankly, intelligence. She cares about the residents, grounds, and matching people with their apartment home. If you are leaving a house for apartment living, the high ceilings and open floor plans will ease the transition. If you have a pet and are a responsible pet owner, this complex is convenient to walking trails and green space. It’s a wonderful place with wonderful staff!”
“Moved in here March of 2022 and I really I have been enjoying my stay so far. The amenities are superb and for the price unbeatable. The apartment has ample storage space. The management and staff have been more than accommodating since my arrival. It is very well kept and very inviting upon entering the building. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to rent.”
“I was remote and the team went well out of there to make sure I had the opportunity to view different floor plans and options before applying. Great communication and very helpful throughout the process.”

“Needed to find an apartment last minute and Kris and everyone at The Parker has been amazing to work with and very accommodating. My unit was renovated and very clean when I arrived! Couldn’t be happier with my place and the community!”
“I was a resident from 2020 until 2023. The staff at Prairie Lakes was always very responsive and friendly. The buildings' interior were well kept and designed. It has been one of the few apartment locations I've lived and almost never heard the neighbors through the walls (upstair neighbors stomping around can't be helped sometimes). The location was also hard to beat for amenities - right next to the High Trestle Trail, within biking distance of the Farmers Market, multiple ponds nearby to fish at, and plenty of sidewalks to explore. Was sad to go, but the 2 bed 2 bath became too pricy for my income without a roommate.”
“Spacious apartment in a peaceful neighborhood. I love my 3 bedroom apartment, great amenities, clean, very nice staff, and maintenance addresses issues right away.”
“After living at cityville for over 3.5 years I can say the change in ownership has been amazing. You can see in previous years from reviews that management has not been helpful nor kind but with the recent change that is now not the case. They are very prompt with responses, I’m now informed with what’s going on in the complex and the grounds are clean. I couldn’t recommend living here more between management, pricing and location.”
“If you want to learn more about Drake West Village, talk with Isaac. Until we found Isaac, we had so many unanswered questions. He answered all of them so thoroughly and politely. He even gave us a tour of the facilities (although no apartments were open to tour those). We followed-up with several more questions by email and phone and Isaac was very responsive and informative. Drake West Village is lucky to have him. He made our experience very enjoyable.”
“Since living here it has been a good experience. I have lived here less than a year and the people here are so nice! They have a fitness center, coffee counter and other perks!”

218 6th Ave, Des Moines“I can't say enough great things about living at the Fleming Building these past 2.5 years!Besides just the charm of the actual apartment aesthetically, the management here is AMAZING. The property manager, Dan, is kind, responsive and always helpful. And maintenance was always crazy fast and went above and beyond every time. It doesn't seem like a huge thing, but the staff here truly made the experience as great as it was because they genuinely care about the people who live there.Great place--highly recommend!”

650 16th St, Des Moines“I lived here when I was a kid in early/mid 80s. It was a beautifully maintained property then, and I'm happy to learn that nothing has changed. Great memories.”
“I am hoping to apply here. I just wanted to say that when I had questions and called, the lady on the phone was kind and seemed ready to help wherever she could. I just wanted to say I appreciated how kind she was on the phone. I definitely want to apply here and maybe call This place home soon.”
“What truly sets Elm Village apart is the exceptional management team. The staff are friendly, responsive, and genuinely care about the residents. Any maintenance requests are handled promptly, and the office always goes the extra mile to ensure everything runs smoothly.”
“Clean organized place the few times that I’ve been here the staff has been kind to me there’s a good selection of snack and drinks as well as meals for a pretty small store/gas station they do a good job of keeping it open while providing a good clean selection”
“I have lived here for, oh shoot, probably going on two years now, and throughout those two years, this apartment complex has really helped me to stay on my feet. If it wasn't for their kindness and understanding of meeting me where I'm at, I would most likely have been homeless a longgggggg time ago. You can trust this place, and their staff, to meet you where you are, without any judgement, without any complaints. They take the heavy lifting, to try and make your burdens light, may God bless this apartment complex, with just the right people, at just the right time. In Jesus name ??”
“I've been here a year and haven't had any issues with angel, the management or maintenance. Any concerns I have with the apartment, they always handle them in a timely manner. As far as angel and all the bad reviews, I think people should cut her some slack, it takes alot to run several properties for 1 and 2 she can't control her tentants disturbing habits. If you can't clean up behind your self and your kids than you shouldn't want to live at the property anyway. Anyone shouldn't get mad at management for enforcing the rules. As for me I keep my place pretty clean so I have never had any pest issues, I can't speak for anyone else. But best of luck to Angel and to anyone wanting to rent in there future. I had a great overall experience and management has always been very patient and understanding.”

3333 Grand Ave Apt 184, Des Moines“I’ve been here almost a year now. This is the first place that has truly been a home to me in so many years. I love my apartment very much.
When I moved in I was upset about some pet damage from a previous renter on the doorways in the apartment that look like a dog was locked up in the bathroom and the bedroom but that is really the only thing I didn’t like. I documented it and decided to enjoy my home regardless. It is an old apartment complex so I never expected perfection or modern aesthetics.
My neighbors across the hall and downstairs are respectful and nice, saying hello as we run into each other or stopping for a chat.
The maintenance is helpful and nice. Property manager, Alexandra is kind and caring as well.
This is my home and my little ESA buddy, Ghost and I love it here. He loves the courtyard, although he isn’t good with other dogs. All the neighbors keep their pets leashed so that’s a big plus for me and I appreciate it very much as well. There is one issue I find every now and then where a pet owner didn’t pick up after their dog but I don’t notice it too often and I’m not always stepping in it.
There is also a concrete slab in the courtyard that I have used to roller skate on a few times now as I have degenerative muscles in my legs- it’s great to have a little spot to get myself moving. I’m sure it would be great for tennis, pickleball, badminton etc. the courtyard has some nice picnic spots as well that I plan on taking advantage of when it cools off a bit.
Don’t expect a perfect modern apartment here. This place clearly has a history and charm to it. I enjoy adding my kitschy decor to my place- slowly making it more and more cozy. The main rooms are spacious as well.
In my part of the complex, my particular neighbors make me feel safe here as well.
I love that I have so many places to walk to and it’s even across the street from Des Moines University- where my family medicine doctor is located as well as my podiatrist. It encourages me to be more active!
Thank you all very much.”
“Sarah was a delight to talk to, very helpful, kind, and navigated all my questions. Will be going with one of her properties when we move! Thank you for not being pushy, and being so nice!”
“I lived here for 3 years. Only planned for short term, then COVID happened. Decided to stay put for a couple more years. When I moved out I thought for sure I would owe money (as apartments complex's like to nickel and dime). However, I thought Polo Club was more than fair and thought what they charged me out of my deposit was fair. Great apartment, Great management and the price is amazing being in WDM and close to everything. If you pay your rent on time and don't act a fool, they will treat you right! Trista in the office the best!!!”
“Thankful for Cate, Bryan and Souky (+ his maintenance team) for making our transition to Weston Park go so smoothly! From day one, they have been the absolute best while we moved across the country. Souky + a team member even helped us with our U-Haul trailer after we experienced a hiccup - resolved it immediately. We also submitted a maintenance request on Sunday and it was resolved ASAP the next day (:”
“It’s been a nice quiet place to move into but most of all the Staff that seems to do it all . Arwen is Amazing !!! She help out in ways I needed to get things ready with my busy schedule. Very Impressive. Thank you Arwen”
“A cozy and clean 2 bedroom apartment home on the ground floor of well kept apartment complex? Yes please! Love my new home! Responsive management (Andrew and Bella are great) and there's a friendly community feel.”
