It is not often you run into young customer service reps in retail that are as switched on as these two. They are truly a credit to the company. They deserve raises!! I was given options, the explanations were clear and concise and honest. The additional battery replacement I was offered was also at a discount since I was there to have the earpiece speaker replaced or cleaned. It turned out a cleaning was all it needed. “I requested an estimate to replace the battery on a tablet. This business is very responsive. I went on site to have the work done. The representative analysed my device and was up-front that replacing the battery would not resolve the issue. They promptly told me it was the charging port and I could replace the motherboard, but the issue would eventually happen again. I appreciate them being honest and would certainly try them again.”
“I actually go to this place to buy electronics. They always give me the best deals. Everyone in NYC tried to charge me $700 for an IPhone 11 Pro Max but they only charged me $650 here. “I can't say enough good things about Sphinx Computer. Ahmed and Dorothy are highly knowledgeable and go above and beyond to provide their customers with superb service. I've experienced this on three separate occasions, and each time I've been extremely pleased. One example: Several months ago, I asked Ahmed to help me change from home WiFi to wired connections, in order to reduce my EMF exposure. He came out and spent about an hour inspecting my home and brainstorming solutions with me. We finally came up with a surprisingly simple system, which Ahmed set up with equipment from his store, at no extra cost. In the process, he diagnosed a computer problem that I reported and worked on it until it was solved. The total cost was very reasonable for all the work he did. To this day, my wired connections are working beautifully, and my computer is fast and smooth. It's good to know that in my neighborhood is such a friendly, reliable, and skilled team. “Thank you Mario for being an audio plastic surgeon. I took my Cam Am Spyder to another audio place on the north side of Chicago last summer to install 4 speakers, new amp, and an equalizer. The job was horrible. The speakers would turn off on me, they would make a loud popping noise and overall it really bothered me. I wanted Mario from M&M to take a look at it this year and correct the mistakes. Luckily I was able to get on his schedule and Mario replaced 2 speakers and added tweeters, he replaced my battery to lithium, add jumping pegs to my frunk, replaced my equalizer, added a new controller and Bluetooth, added a platform inside my frunk to separate the audio from anything I want to place there, added an USB port, and did countless repairs that the other place made on my bike. For example Mario had to plug the extra holes in the speaker holders/mounts, repair a large hole in the frunk, and replaced wires that the other place just spliced and spliced and spliced again. I am super happy with the end product and this place is highly recommended!”

“This place was very easy to find & the customer service is fanatical! I needed a new battery and screen (was cracked) for my IPod & Andy understood my dilemma. Within 48 hours (because he had to order the battery), I had my IPod back & is like brand new. The price was fair & instead of buying a new one he repaired it without hesitation. “Thank you, Cheryl!! Cheryl is a tech genius with printers. I had checked with a warranty program and explained the problem that I was having with my fairly new Epson ET-5800. Their answer was for me to box up this gigantic printer and ship it to them. No Way!! So, I contacted another very reputable computer/printer repair company and explained the problem to them. They assumed a technician needed to come to my home to fix the printer. FINALLY, I CALLED CHERYL after locating her thru Google search. I read the reviews and called and spoke to Cheryl and repeated what was happening with my printer.. This phenomenal tech savvy lady told me what the problem was in less than 5 minutes and told me how to resolve it. It was so simple that I almost didn't believe Cheryl. And, then she explained how the printer reads paper as it's creating the image when it goes thru the feeder. I was convinced that she knew her stuff!! It took me 2 minute to resolve my printer problem by following Cheryl's instructions. I told Cheryl that she will be blessed because she could have told me to bring my printer to her and charged me but she did not. Cheryl is the BEST!! I wish I could giver her a 10 Star rating.”
“I have used Scott several times. My first experience with Scott involved a Charmille 440 CC wire EDM machine. Scott went through several boards that the manufacturer suggested could be failing. After examining the components of these boards he determined they were in working order. Turned out to be a door switch.Scott recently did an amazing job repairing the generator boards on my AgieCharmilles P550. Incredibly the machine would still run, but at significantly reduced speed. He replaced several components and now the machine is running as good as new. These are very complex boards. I would recommend Scott to anyone who has electronics issues with their equipment. If it’s not broke he tells you. If it is he is the guy you want fixing it.”
“I took a pair of JBL 4401s here after Saturday Audio Exchange recommended Van L. My 4401s never seemed to work right. John and co are extremely knowledgeable and he gave me a demo of his in house brand (which sound great). I dropped off my speakers and had them back, repaired, in 2 weeks. So far they sound great. Van L is a friendly shop and they know what they’re doing.”

“How can I say this… I should of went here sooner, my ps5 was down and out bad, automatically shutting off on its own I thought it was over and when I called multiple place for a used one and the heartache to hear it would cost near $400 for a used one I started looking for places where they can try to fix it and that’s when I stumbled on this Gem. I called the store and the man in charged said bring it by, to sum this up I took it during my lunch break at 12 and he was done by 5 my second lunch break and when I got home I promise I played for hours even left my PlayStation on for additional hours to see if it was truly fixed 1 week later it still has not turned off on me. He fixed my problem for a beautiful prices that didn’t hurt my pockets and saved me the headache of having to buy another one… I can finally play my online games again without it turning off if I can give out 6 stars it would be to this place I highly recommend”
“Roman Sokolov and his brother are special gifts to the Chicago area if you're in possession of medium to hi-end amplifiers and equipment. I've gone to them for years with an array of issues. Starting with a repair on the volume pot on my college 1980 Aiwa integrated amp that I was sure was destine for the recycle bin. I've got a higher end Tandberg power, preamp and FM tuner set that he keeps like new for me. Be ready to see more piled up old electronics than you've ever seen in one place. But Roman is organized and first rate. You won't find people doing their work anymore.”
